Coffeebar in general is pretty cool but what makes them my number one spot is their LAVENDER LATTES. So unbelievably delicious. I always get good service when I come, but even if I got terrible service I would still come just for those lavender lattes. No matter who makes it, they always come out perfect. Plenty of tables throughout the space. Yet when full doesn't seem loud, you hardly notice any others around you. Free wifi-Giuseppe. Two large cases of pastries, sandwiches and other treats. They even warm them up for you. I enjoyed a wonderful large breakfast bacon calzone with a little salad for $6.50 and a tea latte for $2.50. My friend had a Caprese salad that filled her plate. In good weather there are a few tables outside in the yard. Last month I stopped in and they had a great wine sale going on. In honor of National Coffee Day I went out to grab a cup at the Coffeebar Reno, a cool local spot. It is located in a nice neighborhood area, their selection is amazing: coffee, tea, food, pastries and wine, nicely decorated, plenty of indoor sitting, patio, friendly staff, good service, free, fast wifi. The highlight for me was the patio. Nice and quiet pretty area on a Fall afternoon. I like chain coffee shops but local, independent, unique shops are welcome and refreshing. Had not been here in a long time when someone gave me a $25 gift card so I've been back for several visits and things sure have changed. No longer an impressive operation, and the baristas are not the friendly ones they used to be. Today around noon, it was not busy at all, but it took forever to get my order. I watched the barista put the several orders in front of me on the counter and either did not call a name or said is so low it could not be heard. Three order in front of me had to ask "who is this for?" When mine was finally ready it was place on the counter, no name, and no thank you. It was not correct and when I pointed that out it was fixed but without the common courtesy of "I'm sorry." The latte was very mediocre - like a big cup of warm milk. It's not the premium experience it used to be. After my gift card is spent I don't see myself going out of my way to visit very often. read more

Been here once or twice before this evening, nice place, nice atmosphere, good eats. Just a little out of the beaten path for me. But when in this neighborhood, I would definitely come back and enjoy their culinary arts. Tonight, however, I was here for a Monthly Wine Tasting. Hosted by Giuseppe's Cellar Club, this evening we tasted 7 wines from North America. $20 if ticket bought in advance, $25 at the door. First was Gruet - Blanc de Noir (Pinot Nois & Chardonnay) $21/bottle. Slightly bubbly, I enjoyed this very light wine. Albuquerque, New Mexico Second was CMS, 2014 (Sauvignon Blanc, Cjardonnay & Marsanne) $18/bottle. Also a very light wine. Both this and the Gruet would be great with a light luncheon with a berry salad. Columbia Valley, Washington Next was Calera, 2014 - Chardonnay. $23/bottle My inexperienced palette felt this was too dry for a white wine. Central Coast, California Fourth - Aleana, 2013 - Pinot Noir. $28/bottle Not bad but little heavy for a Pinot Noir. Willamette Valley, Oregon Fifth - Pedroncelli, 2013 - Zimfandel. $20/bottle Again, not a bad wine a little on the dry side. Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma, California. This wine was paired with a Butternut Squash Mouse and crisp bacon strip. Sixth - Bishop's Peak, 2013 (Cabernet Sauvigon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdon & Cabernet Franc) $22/bottle Also a dry wine, but it's supposed to be dry. Enjoyed this wine. Paso Robles, California Finally - Anaba, 2011 - Viognier Late Harvest - $25/bottle. A sweet dessert wine that was rather enjoyable, not overly sweet. This was served with a petite cookie. Sonoma, California. While I enjoyed being there, the space was way too small for the number of people. I got there early and got through the two tables with quite a few excuse me's, can I get by. Later it was almost impossible to move. As I was leaving, roughly 45 minutes after entering, I had to work my way out of the room and more people were coming in. (4:20pm 5/27/24) I've been coming here with my husband because he loves the taste of it, I decided I was going to modify my mocha by adding an extra pump after trying it five separate occasions, all times were tasteless. After my husband asked for my mocha to be modified the barista (male with red hair) commented (loudly, clearly for my husband to be able to hear him) to the cashier in disbelief that someone wanted to modify the drink and that someone should not critique his work before tasting it. I'm sorry but I've given you over four times, and if I want my drink different so be it. I've been a barista for over five years and this is not how you make quality coffee, (I didn't ask for a vague chocolate essence latte, I asked for a mocha. it's not based on you think it should be, it's to the customers preferences), nor how you conduct yourself in front of customers or treat people. Also the paninis are microscopic, so for 11 dollars a sandwich and 6 dollars a coffee that you're supposed to enjoy cos some guy thinks he's an expert, you can do WAY BETTER. As a daily coffee drinker, I decided to try something a little different with the apple pie chai. What a delicious treat! Often these types of drinks can be overly sugary but not this. It was the perfect balance of tea, cider and dairy for it to have pie flavors but not cloyingly sweet. Staff was really sweet and made light conversation while taking orders. Shared a four-top table with a stranger. This place gets VERY busy, even on a Wednesday morning, so come early if you want to be guaranteed a seat. read more

I love Coffeebar as a company. I hear great things from Staff and Vendors which automatically makes for a better overall experience. You can tell that they care about service and the experience. They are waste conscious and people use fettuccini noodles to stir their brews. They have a newish location in NW Reno and I think they opened during "VID" times. During the summer they hung a rainbow flag which is RARE in Reno and they have a sign letting all people know they are a welcome and accepting place to patronize. (This is not true of all multi location coffee shops in Reno) Their locations are great for meetings and can be great spots for a telecommuting afternoon. Decor is always fun with some local influence and urban loft vibes. Coffee is roasted locally in Midtown and they partner for delicious pastries and have a good selection of fresh and healthy options. I adore this place and try to refer lots of business their way! I recently decided to visit Coffeebar, which was a staple many years ago during college. I was excited to get my favorite lavender latte. The coffee did not disappoint. It tasted just as I remember, and service was fast. What was a little different was the ambiance of the shop itself. While I was waiting for my coffee, I couldn't help but stare at the chandelier. It was pretty gnarly, caked with dust and webs. It's an intricate chandelier that is high up, so I know it must be a real pain to clean, but it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. When I got my coffee, I sat down at a metal table and again I couldn't help but stare at all the crumbs stuck in the table. It looked like at least 20 baked goods had been mashed into it. I really wanted to drag the table outside and shake it out... lol. But I did not. Overall, the cleanliness was really off putting so I decided to enjoy my drink elsewhere. This is not meant to bash on Coffeebar, I really just hope this review helps inspire them to maybe do a deep clean. Great coffee spot. Reminded me a little bit of Empresso in Stockton with the ambiance and of course baked goods and food offerings. We ordered the avocado toast w/bacon added, chocolate donut, cold brew coffee, and an iced mocha. Avocado toast: real good with the bacon added. They use a thick slice of toast and quite a good amount of smashed avocado with red pepper flakes and microgreens. Fresh and not too filling which is what we were looking for on this day. Chocolate donut: not oily/greasy and not too sweet even tho it was all chocolate. Cold brew: not strong but not light. I added a little too much cream but thankfully it didn't ruin it for me. It was still good! Service at the counter was great. Outside seating was nice. Just a nice vibe at this place. I would definitely come back for breakfast and coffee when I'm back in Reno. read more

I wanted to hang out with a friend and she also needed to study, so we picked a coffee shop close by on Yelp & we ended up at Coffeebar. I ordered some sort of coconut latte, a strawberry doughnut, and a turtle brownie, and my friend ordered a vanilla latte. The lattes were average lattes, nothing special honestly. But my friend's latte was filled to the brim and hard really cute latte art :) we both really enjoyed the strawberry doughnut. The turtle brownie was really thick and extremely chocolate-y for my taste but it wasn't bad. Still enjoyed it. This is the most frustrating business in Reno. On the one hand, they sell outstanding whole bean coffee - make no mistake about it; their coffee beans are the best around. On the other hand, going to Coffeebar for food or drinks is an underwhelming experience at best, but more often just plain bad. I've seen this go from a very well-run business that takes pride in their craft and product, to one that could not care less. The food used to be adequate to good, and has deteriorated to inedible. The portions are tiny and microwaved, and the menu items are all filler and no substance. Highway robbery for what they charge. The staff are mostly apathetic teenagers who have clearly not been mentored by management, as they have very little concept of what a job is, let alone customer service. No thanks; hard pass. Now, I only go to Coffeebar to buy my coffee, then take my cup from home over to Waldens who has outstanding food and service. read more

Coffee + Bar, for some those two things are enjoyed by many. Coffeebar in Reno is a great place if you're looking for a drink, something to eat, catching up with someone, or getting some work done. Depending on the time of day, it can get quite crowded making it hard to find a place to sit. They do have outside seating. It's my favorite when the weather permits. The parking here isn't bad as there's typically plenty street parking. The service and drinks here are amazing and is one of the reasons I come back time after time. Your drinks are made quickly and the staff is always nice. Coffeebar is one of my favorite places to go. If you're looking for a place you can't go wrong with coming here! Longer story: CoffeeBar is an interesting family, in that they all share some important essential characteristics (great coffee, great food, and the best people around), while each one is also unique, reflecting the characteristics of their neighborhood. Here, it's a homey feeling... not unlike going over to your best friend's house to hang out. Heart and Gigi were there to chill with me when I was there, and Gigi's coconut cap was better than turning on the TV to see your favorite episode of Johnny Quest. It is a nice place to hang out with friends (there are outdoor spaces around the shop). This is also a wonderful place to study and work (indoor which I hope to do so again soon). They also have snacks/meals. I discovered this place on my trip here last year, and went there almost every single day! Finally had the chance! Was in the Mount Rose area this morning and remembered about Coffeebar! Picked up several drinks which included a chai latte, vanilla latte (they make their own syrups, so good!) and an iced vanilla/Carmel latte. The drinks were very good! Chai is not what I expected that's for sure! It's was good but not sweet enough for my liking. Coffee Lattes were perfect! Strong and tasty! I got an avocado toast with an added egg and bacon. Very tasty and highly recommend! They have a case full of pastries which is my favorite! I am a huge sucker for sweets! Got a cherry filled croissant and it was Amazing! So buttery, warm and flaky and full of flavor. The baristas and staff are all very nice and helpful. They had great drink and food recommendations. The atmosphere was very nice, relaxing and quiet.
