I've been to this Cold Stone multiple times and they never ceases to disappoint! The staff is always so friendly and attentive and the ice cream is just the cherry on top! My family usually goes simple with pistachio or banana with almonds but from time to time we love to try out their seasonal promotions as well! Something else that makes this place even better is how safe we feel due to their enforced mask mandate. It has been a challenge to go out, especially during the circumstances we're all living in but with places like these, one feels at ease knowing they're putting their customers and employees safety first! This location denies service and discriminates against those who cannot be vaccinated or wear a mask due to medical issues. This is a common theme nowadays. Some people have health issues in which they cannot wear masks or be vaccinated as recommended by their doctor, and this location still chooses to deny entry to such individuals. This is illegal and also sad that someone can be refused service due to health problems outside of their control. I love Cold Stone. But I have one tip for customers and management: Keep an eye on Danny (he even sent me a yelp message on here in response to this). Not only will he make your order wrong multiples times and leave out ingredients (leading me to believe he doesn't have enough product knowledge) AND overcharge you, but he will give you attitude if you say anything about it! There's more employees there who need an attitude adjustment, but Danny is by far the worst. (He even sent me a message about this review!!! Highly unprofessional.) I am only giving one star because I cannot give none.... As a faithful customer, I have just left this store and had the worst experience. First off, when taking the first bite of my "love it" ice cream, I bit into a piece of plastic that lodged in between my tooth and gum. I immediately alerted your staff of what I had found and got nothing but a harsh "what? and "where?" from Alyssa. After showing her what was in the ice cream, she then placed it on the counter and walked away without saying a word. Darathy then looked at the object and offered to make me another ice cream. After already being disgusted, I was not interested in a new ice cream... I only wanted refund after realizing just how unsanitary this location was. Secondly, I have attached several photos of the area where the ice cream is prepared... I am sure anyone can agree that this is completely unacceptable. The frozen bar had build up with many different topping mix-ins piled together, there was an abundance of trash spilling out of the waste basket on to the floor, and dirty mixers/scrappers that were being used. Third, while Darathy was actually attending to my situation, the two female employees, Serena and Alyssa, were in the back room laughing and standing around. The behavior of the employees and the poorly kept cleanliness is utterly appalling. In my experience with working in the food industry, I know the hazards of a contaminated environment. There are few things more exciting than writing a review on one's lunch hour, especially of something as uninteresting as Cold Stone. I have about 30 minutes to kill right now and I just had an experience that's hotter off the press than a sheet of hundred dollar bills--an experience that warrants some mild bitchification. Yeah, yeah, everyone knows that Cold Stone has crappy over-sweet ice cream, but I was tired of my usual lunchtime ration of an iced green tea from the coffee shop next door. So I'm here with a cup of gingerbread ice cream. It's actually pretty decent--not great but not bad either. I swear, the girl working the counter here needs to get a job as a used car salesperson. Better yet, she should go on channel 853 and sell food dehydrators all day. She just doesn't give up. Not wanting to spoil my slim figure, I asked for a kiddie cup. Although the staff at other locations are very obliging, she politely and understandably informed me that the smallest size I could get was "Like It." So I consent, but then she goes on to tell me how, for just $0.49 more, I can get a "Love It" size cup. What's that? Like a pint of ice cream? She kept going on. And on. And on. And on. Honey, YOU don't have chipmunk butt-cheeks and I don't want them either. I'll stick with the small size. So after she finally shut up and started scooping the ice cream, she proceeded to ask me if I wanted any mix-ins. Let me rephrase that, actually. She started TELLING me what I wanted in my ice cream, as if she knew better than I did. I don't like s**t in my ice cream, sorry. I'll take it plain. As I uttered a more civil version of that, she was reciting the list of toppings. I told her again that I didn't want anything--she interrupted and said that I could add blahblahbladeeblahblah. Dude, do you get a commission for every dollar's worth of ice cream you sell? How much commission *could* you possibly get for selling ice cream? If I buy the whole store, can I do Flex-Pay? Maybe I'll buy a year's worth of ice cream and you can Auto-Ship it to my house? So that's it for my rant. Not much of a review, but I had to vent. We have been to a few branches of the ice creamery but this one in particular has left an impression: happy greeting at the door, great selection of ice cream and toppings, not to mention the choices for other treats, and best of all, customer service. Our server was Cesar and he was amazing: got the orders (4) right and was sure to keep our orders nice and cold by placing each one in a bag and in the refrigerator until order was completed.
