It's served all day thanks to microwaves. So if you can't make some microwave eggs with some microwave shredded cheese and microwave sausage all mixed together with a utensil of some sort, and potentially encased that mixture in a bagel or tortilla, then by all means pay about ten bucks if you also want a donut and coffee thrown in there. Although I ordered delivery to my parents, the donuts were perfectly curated and arrived warm and fresh. One box was a half dozen regular donuts and the second box a half dozen fancies, which included a bear claw, apple fritters and cinnamon sticks. Felt super uncomfortable and didn't even really want to continue paying for our orders. Not returning again, this place needs to train their workers to be able to have good Customer service. Since I live in Northern California I haven't been to, or even seen, a Winchell's Donuts shop in FOREVER! They don't have any up there anymore and it's a crying shame cos when I walked into this Winchell's Donuts yesterday on my vacation in L.A. I realized how great L.A. is in comparison to Northern California. L.A. is just a huge cosmpolitan city and has endless things to do and great places to eat, and sadly Northern California may be a nice place to live in but for food frankly it SUCKS. I ordered a half dozen cos there was no way I was going to eat more. I had 2 chocolate, 2 sugar, and 2 old-fashioned donuts. They were all " hot and fresh " just like Winchell's motto and tasted even better! Sadly the O.J. I asked for tasted funny like rotten mangoes but that was because I think the oranges they used were a little past the expiration date but I just chokked it up to the experience. I would come here pretty often because it's by my house but I just realized that after eating half of my bacon avocado melt that the bacon was completely uncooked. 2 stars for a very average donut place. There isn't really anything that isn't expected out of a cheap 24 hour donut spot in downtown Los Angeles. It's very dirty and doesn't have a great surrounding area, but it does get the job done when in need of a late night donut run.
