I do love Cold Stone, I really do. But this has got to the one of the worst Cold Stone's I've ever been to. It wasn't THAT crowded but it took some time to get our orders in. The red headed girl should probably learn more about customer service. Some guy came in after us and she proceeded to flirt with him, run to the back to grab her phone to show him something and then take his order... and of course he got done before us and didn't pay a dime. I don't care if he's your friend or you want to make him your boyfriend, but if there's customers standing waiting for their orders to be taken those are the people you deal with FIRST before your lover boy. The guy who took our order was great and I had no problem with him at all. It's always a bunch of young people working though, talking to each other as they make ice cream and ignoring the customer. I usually order the Birthday Cake Remix that is one of their Signature Creations, and it's my absolute favorite! It comes with Birthday cake ice cream, fudge brownies and sprinkles. I definitely recommend trying one of their signature flavors, if your taste buds are feeling adventurous. I also get my birthday cake every year from here. My current favorite is Cookies and Cream. I suggest this cake for Oreo lovers out there! I received awful customer service, my order was not complicated at all as I have had no trouble from past visits to this location. However while he was making my ice cream I heard him lean in to his coworker and say "this customer is a retard" loud and clear. I was appalled, I couldn't believe he would say such an awful thing right in front of my face. This is unacceptable, and something needs to be done about his behavior. This Cold Stones was on point the other night when we came in! It was Saturday night around 815pm and there was a Hawaiian looking guy who served us. He was awesome. Very generous portions when serving our orders and he basically gave a "like it" size when handing out the samples! He was also very generous with the mix in ingredients and mixed everything together well. The ice cream was a nice temperature and tasted great! We were very happy with our visit! The location is a little difficult because it is in the downtown Pleasant Hill, so parking can be a bit scarce. But if you park in the shopping center across the street, there's a lot of spots and it's not that much of a walk! There's tons of places to eat around here, so Cold Stones is a nice after meal dessert. read more

I went to try my one flavor, and this sweet girl, I believe her name was Mayson, was very kind to make me not feel uncomfortable to try another flavor. I ended up getting the best order ever due to trying a few different flavors this time around. Since then, I have been back to Cold Stone on numerous occasions. I don't know how to write a comment card, but every time Mayson served me my ice cream (I believe only twice or three times I had her) I had the best experience. But, enough about the Cookie Dontcha Wanna (vomit up your spleen)? To experience the full passive aggressive incompetence, laziness, and overt lack of pride in themselves, their job, or the company that employs them, you HAVE to order online for delivery. See, Cold Stone Creamery's big "hook" is that you can customize your order with any number of ice cream flavors and mix-ins. In fact, they charge about $2-3 more per serving than your run of the mill, non-health code violating ice cream joints to mix-in bits of candy bars, cookies brownies, and such. The BIGGER hook with delivery, is no matter what you order, what you get is a total surprise! Ordered cookie dough? You're going to have a brownie instead. Want Oreos? Nope. Nutter Butter for you. With a side of anaphylactic shock (maybe). You just never know until it shows up at your door. I wouldn't worry much - most of the mix-ins are all dumped into the bottom of the cup with the ice cream on top. The only problem here, really, is the branding. Since it's dumped instead of mixed, they should call them Dump-Ins. Well, they're more like Mix-Ups. Okay, let's go with Dump-ups. Although considering the health code violations, customers may confuse them with the restrooms. Speaking of restrooms, the turd topping on this crapshoot is how soundly any phone call, at any time of day will be ignored even more than your presence in the store upon your arrival. Calls to the corporate office end in a dead end labyrinthine jungle that equates to "press 5 to get bent because we give less of a crap than our employees." So enjoy those Dump-ups, or lack thereof, and DMV levels of customer service for one third higher the price of any other franchise. Horrible experience! They are so disorganized and did a terrible job addressing their customers. We had waited for 20 mins, due to the long line and they were incredibly slow. I love cold stone but I will not be returning to this location. They had turned away a guy who had entered the store before closing but it was 10pm on the dot and still 10 people left in line that had to be served. If you don't close the door on time, that is not the customers fault!!! You should still serve them! Additionally they were out of milk?!?! You're an ice cream store! It has become a tradition to once a week take our girlfriend to get ice cream at cold stone. The staff has always been friendly and helpful including a gentleman by the name of James. One day while out and about we ran across him in a public venue and he looked like someone killed his puppy. It was communicated to us that that just recently the cold stone he worked at was under new management and that he was fired within days of this. He was told that he was "Intimidating customers". I believe that this statement had more to do with his stature and not his demeanor as he is quite tall and would appear to some to look like a fan of the heavy metal subculture. On what was our final visit my girlfriend ordered a large cup of ice cream with a single topping and the final total was near $13 for what was maybe a scoop and a half of ice and 3 reeses peanut butter cups. It was expressed by my girlfriend to the gentleman taking her order that she wanted 4 peanut butter cups with her ice cream. The new manager was looking over his shoulder while her was preparing the order and made him remove one peanut butter cup and several ounces of ice cream.
