I ordered an ice cream cake for my son for his 6th birthday. One of their signature Mario cakes they told me the price great and rang it up. I paid all up front and gave a tip. Then I get a call 5 min later saying they undercharged me and asked if it was ok. I said it was but I was extremely upset. They charged me 20.00 more for Mario character toys and for it being a signature cake. So when I went back I had to pay the 20.00. They also misspelled my son's name and the cake was mashed against the side so a lot of the frosting decoration came off. I did get 5.00 off but that wasn't enough considering all the issues with the cake. I will never buy a cake from cold stone. Buyer beware!!!! read more

I've gone to cold Stone for 20 years and had it in many locations. This locations ice cream reminded me of the taste and texture of rite aide malt ice cream if it was freezer burned. The texture was nothing near their well known slow churned texture. I could barely taste the chocolate flavor in the chocolate ice cream and the mix ins were almost non existent. It's a guilty pleasure. Often have to get 1 pint of each seasonal. Usually have one that I don't eat much of, but that's not worth docking points. Some of the flavors are excellent, but not the type where I would enjoy a dish. Usually one of the flavors is fun to taste--a spoonful here or there--but more about the tasting experience. Moral of the story is that I need to get off my lazy rear and drive the 8 minutes to taste in person so I will know I like it before buying a pint. The service was terrible, rude, and I didn't get what I ordered. The strawberries and bananas were frozen solid. Nothing was mixed together as is usual for cold stone. The store was filthy and the smell inside was disgusting. Then we went outside to sit at the tables and they were filthy. I ended up throwing my ice cream away. Went in on Friday Jun 7 at 345 pm. What a filthy store. Ordered a kids scoop with mixins. The employee made too much and put the excess down the drain. No wonder the prices are a little more than other Cold Stones. Went out side and the tables were ALL very dirty. The service was prompt but gruff as in I wasn't greeted when walking in and there was sarcasm from the employee, granted it would have been fine but the first thing out of the gate was a bit much. I ended up getting the coffee lovers in a Like It which is coffee ice cream, roasted almonds, heath bar pieces, and caramel sauce. I asked if I could substitute the heath bar and that's where the sarcasm happened. I got twix instead and error on my part as the candy bar hardens so the outside chocolate shell as well as the caramel from the bar hardens very quickly. I ended up eating around the candy bar and maybe should have just removed the candy as a whole. While there a couple more customers came in and they were greeted, it could of been because I came in as the emoloyee was finishing helping customers too. It seems like they continually have new flavors which is great and also community event fliers they support. I don't know if I will be back but it does fill my ice cream cravings read more

The one with curly brown hair with bangs was very sweet and was very kind with me and my wife of 53 years. There was another one with blackish reddish hair who was absolutely hilarious. She always knew what to say. I'm hard of hearing but those two always went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The ice cream was like it was when my mother made it as a boy. HORRIBLE Dirty location. Ice cream dripped all over the tables. When I asked for a towel to wipe the tables off. I was informed that those tables are not their responsibility. They are owned by the mall and they only wash them once in the morning. There were 5 girls working all standing around. The glass case was dirty with hand prints and ice cream drips. This is a case where I feel the sound of 4-star ice cream is too much, but I want to give it 4 stars because I can make fantastic creations and their base ice cream is none-too-shabby. It's a chain, you can find one in most suburbs. But unlike other chain ice cream the magic ingredient is you. Pick a flavor you like, pick a size, and go from there. You can stick to one mix-in or get crazy. They even have several suggested combinations to help out those who (like me) sometimes have a hard time getting the creative juices flowing. Even though I feel it can be a little overpriced for ice cream, I appreciate that the sizes usually take me a couple seatings to eat which makes it not seem quite as overpriced. One suggestion I have, if you find the magic combination write it down. I've made and lost many a perfect creation, never to recover that heavenly blend again. read more

I nearly always have the same treat, and it is now listed as the Founders Favorite: sweat cream, brownie, carmel, fudge, pecans. I substitute fresh strawberries for the fudge sauce. To die for.. I love these guys usually, but every time I go there I get a sweet cream banana milkshake. 8 out of the last 10 times I've gone , I was told that the milkshake machine is "broken" only to see someone getting a milk shake the next day, not even 12 hours later!!! This location, as well as the one in Tualatin (I think they have the same owner) are really fantastic. I have purchased cupcakes for events from both locations, and I called ahead of time to see what they had available. They had exactly what I wanted, and offered to make me anything else I wanted. The customer service over the phone, and in store was/is really great. If you are looking for a special pie, cupcakes, or cookie sandwich combo, you should give them a call. Another thing they offer is take home ice cream that you can make. I love the pumpkin ice cream, so I purchase the mid-size option to take home with me and enjoy. Love it!! read more

Let me set the scene: Saturday night, 8 p.m., on a beautifully sunny spring day. As a business owner of an ice cream place, you could have predicted a large crowd of customers, right? Apparently, not! We are currently in line with 30, yes, 30 other people waiting to place our order. There are two, yes, two students working the counter! Ridiculous! If we weren't here with our eleven-year-old daughter, whom we promised an after-dinner treat, we'd be walking right out of here! We certainly will not return to this particular location of the franchise again! Also, the restroom is in poor condition. No wonder--obviously, the two girls running the store do not have time to look after the cleanliness of the restroom on top of everything else. read more

There were at least three employees in the store but only one employee was working, taking one order at a time. After we all got our ice cream we went to pay. They charged us 10x the amount of our bill, instead of $12 they charged $120.
