Decent latte, amazing vibe, and excellent sparkling water on tap. But the lack of any vegan sweets to go along with my pretty good latte was a major buzzkill. I was surprised because I picked this place based upon the promise of vegan donuts. I asked whether they had simply run out of vegan goodies and was informed that "we just don't carry any vegan things. We have gluten free though." One of my favorite non-sequiturs. Sigh. Visited this new shop back during the dreary days of March and it didn't disappoint. The look and ambiance of Colectivo really hit the spot. The bright colors really wake you up after a day of work or anything really. The menu is simple but covers all the bases. The only minor - very minor - setback is the limited indoor seating. There's an outdoor patio with a firepit for the warmer months but it can get rather crowded during colder days. It's also conveniently located right off the California blue line stop. Colectivo Coffee is cool, modern and has plenty of seating for groups or individuals at the bar. Good, strong coffee is served in a classy white mug. Food menu offers a nice variety and appears to be inspired by Panera. The sandwiches are fresh and made of quality ingredients. Music selection was hip and at a volume where you could enjoy it yet doesn't disrupt work! Outdoor patio looks great to chill out in warmer weather. It was very packed on a Friday afternoon so I can see it getting very busy during peak times. Mostly meter parking but some free parking a couple blocks away. read more

Go here. All the food is great. Curry chicken wrap and salad are two of my favorites. Veggie breakfast wrap is very tasty. I can't tell the meat is not real. My friend and I visited mid-week at 9am. At that time the place was about 1/4 full, but by the time we left at 11, it was about 3/4 full and buzzing. There's tons of seating options inside--tables for up to 4, counter seating at the big windows, and the bench seating outside around the fire pit. It was almost warm enough to sit outside--darn that Chicago wind! There's the tradition coffee house drinks, tea, cold brew, chai and smoothies. Their coffee blends all sound delicious and I hope to enjoy one of their pour-overs soon. Bagels, pastries and sandwiches available too, the menu looks fabulous. The latte and blueberry muffin was a perfect breakfast choice. Service was friendly. Seemed like prep was a little slow that morning, maybe because it was a bit empty. Won't prevent future visits, besides that pour-over is supposed to take 5 minutes to completely brew. read more

Have now been here several times for breakfast, coffee and lunch - and have been really impressed with the quality of the food and service. The sandwiches are super fresh and tasty - as well the Italian soda and coffee! Really friendly staff, not to mention efficient. Once they forgot to bring out a pastry we had ordered (no big deal) and they gave us a free one to make up for it. So far so good! First I HATE this eyesore of a building they built in Logan square. This ugly nasty out of place building .... buildings in the block that just don't belong in this area!!!!! The only saving grace is they let Colectivo in here. The coffee, I knew of already from Milwaukee. Smooth taste. The day of dead cups are a great touch. I heard they were here in Chicago. Lots of light, seats, music is great. Food options galore! And even beer on tap I think???? I can't tell. I just had an avocado blt. WiFi is free and strong. Milwaukee is a bitch to park on but California blue line right there too. And cali bus/Milwaukee bus. They have a fire pit outside! I saw it used even in winter! Great addition. I really love this place, mainly because of the aesthetic and outdoor seating. Wooden loveseats and solid stones surround a fireplace that stays lit day and night. Good amount of indoor seating for 1-4 people, anything beyond that I would recommend moving outside to laze around. The table and chair height is just right, something most cafes seem to struggle with. Makes for a great study environment. Service was friendly and informative, of course. I just got the ice coffee and cranberry pumpkin muffin, but am definitely going to return to try out their food items. read more

Pros : A nice, spacious spot to camp out with a laptop for several hours for sure. You will find a seat right away. The staff is always friendly and quick with service, and have a fast-casual table service model which makes things super comfortable. The aesthetic and feel of the place is very modern and welcoming. I love the entirely open-air store front and out door tables during nice weather. To order, I would recommend the turkey club sandwich and the Nitro cold brew on tap. Cons : Nothing terrible, really. Coffee isn't bad, but not amazing either. The wifi connection needs refreshing every hour or so, but a it's free without a time limit. I always have a good time here, definitely recommend. read more

I really like this cafe. Its quite beautiful on the inside, more of a Spanish feel. Their coffee is amazing. They have a large food menu including smoked salmon bagels and gluten-free options as well. Free from gluten, is free from tootin'. I don't usually review chains, but I felt like I had to give a shout out to Colectivo after a great experience this past weekend. I've been many times for coffee, but on Sunday we stopped in for a full lunch with our kids aged 11 months and 3 years. The Colectivo patio is seriously awesome for restless kids. They were able to play on the big boulders, run around and just generally be kids while we enjoyed beers and waited for our food. And the food itself was really tasty! We got the chorizo burrito, the double cheese sandwich and a soft pretzel and really liked it all. With nice weather *finally* coming back to Chicago, I think we'll be hitting up their patio all summer long. read more

I live close to Colectivo on Milwaukee. I have been walking and biking pass this place very often. This place looks nice and the patio looks cool and fancy so I have always wanted to try, but I am not a fan of coffee. So I had still never been there even though I've wanted to ( sound conflict, doesn't it ) However, my friend and I stopped by this place on Friday morning after we were done biking. My friend got the hot green tea latte. I got hot chocolate which was good, but what really made me surprised was their hot matcha green tea latte. It was really great with good amount of sweetness. Honestly I love this place it's kind of a hybrid between a coffee shop and a lunch spot but everything on the menu is pretty delicious so you can't go wrong regardless of whether you're visiting for java or eats. This location is also very close to the blue line, which makes it a quick stop for me on my morning commute. Aside from the food/drink offerings, they also have bagged coffee beans in a large array of roasts and flavors to take home - I loooove the variety! read more

Tried this place for the first time recently. I quite liked it. Ambiance: it's a cafe. You order at the counter, they give u a number and bring it out to you. there is a cute little indoor/outdoor area (converted to be one or the other based on the season. Usually these sorts of areas can be quite cold in the winter but this one was kept comfortable) with mostly two-person tables and a few larger tables. Nice spot because you get the natural light. Glossed wooden tables. My order: sesame chicken salad and lentil soup. Lentil soup- was different from others I've had- different spices. I quite like it, and there were a few whole vegetable pieces in it, it wasn't fully puréed. They give you two slices of thick fresh bread with it. Good and would order again. Salad- this is probably so obnoxious to say but the dressing tasted like one of the sauces that comes with cheesecake factory's Asian chicken lettuce wrap tacos? Lol honestly not a bad thing though. Wish it had a little bit less of the cabbage that was on it. But everything was very fresh and this was very good. I have been to the location in Lincoln Park (and loved it) so was excited to try this one in Logan Square/Wicker Park. I like this one much much better for the winter time, because there is more seating inside. The music is perfect in here (at least today). Usually I put my headphones in at cafes, but the playlist was better than mine so I left them off which was nice for a change. This location also has a nice fire place outside that I was happy to see on and will definitely sit by it on my way out for a few minutes. Great for working. Plenty of outlets. Wifi you can connect too easily just by opening your laptop. Plenty of natural light streaming in Staff was just as friendly as I expected them to be! Very lovely and helpful. The food is delicious and the drinks are great too. I don't have a single complaint about this place. read more

But the last time I was here I had to wait somewhere around 20-25 minutes for a pour over that was said to be ready in 10.
