Cozy little brunch spot, perfect for a lazy weekend get-together. Parking was not stressful as the restaurant located inside a plaza complex. The waitress was very attentive and our foods came out pretty quick. We ordered the avocado toast with side of fruits and the churro toast with an side of egg. The avocado toast was refreshing. The addition of bacon and poached egg added made it more filling. The churro toast was super fluffy and the inside was airy. It was on the slightly more sweet side, so adding a side of egg helped tone down the sweetness if you consume the egg with it. 3.5 Stars with room to grow! I like this place because the service is awesome and appreciated their constant effort to make adjustments. This is their second menu and the food presentation is just awesome. Ambiance is clean and has that farm to table feel. It was packed in our rainy day visit but the outside patio was closed and I think that would be fun to experience too. Ok. Pancakes are huge and thick but a bit spongy. A 2.5 star dish. Fruit garnish was nice, but so few it really was more for color than for the dish. 3.0 for the sliders. Nicely presented and the glaze is a bit sweet but overall a good dish. Avocado toast. Wow, check the pic! Impressive presentation and mostly fresh ingredients. While trying to be an honest dish the salsa overwhelmed the taste. Being served in rye bread, it might be better as a quesadilla. This dish left us happy and sad but deserves a 3 star rating. I like this place and will come again for further review if the menu. What a nice addition to the area. It feels greedy to have so many good Chinese restaurants but we don't have a lot of good Cantonese and the ambiance is wonderful. The stuffed chicken wings are the best and I've had a few. We also could not get enough of the garlic broccoli, I know everyone makes it but Colette's is done right. We also had the salt and pepper calamari. I prefer grilled but the tempura style was yummy. Last but not least the pork soup dumplings. They come in 4 to an order so just the right amount for 2 people. As said the decor is great. I think they kept from previous owner. Only issues were with the waiters. We asked for recommendations and didn't really get any only to find out they were famous for a chicken appetizer the other tables were ordering; we will go back for that. Our waiter also disappeared on us so we had to ask others to put in our main order, we ordered apps first. The chicken was so good when dipped in the runny yolk and Hollandaise. The only problem I had was that the batter was quite thick on the chicken. One of my yolks also was out of place as in not on top of the muffin. I also got the avocado toast which is extremely loaded. It has more toppings on it than it has avocado which is a downer for me since I love avocado. My poached eggs were also not runny. I also saw the waiter drop a couple tomatoes on the floor when serving us which again ruined the presentation. Gave this place 4 stars because all of the food was delicious and a huge portion. They also have bottomless mimosas for 15$. The waitress filled my cup so many times and topped us off whenever she got the chance. I read many reviews where the "owner" responded saying they give their best and sorry it was a fluke, or they will make changes, etc...but those are responses from months ago and they are the same excuses months and months later to dismiss themselves. We ate here for a friend's birthday. She ordered the Fried Chicken Benedict. They cut one small fried chicken in half to put on two separate English muffins! And they dare charge what they charge. It was tasteless in act and in flavor. My friend couldn't eat it even when she tried to fix it with condiments, like mask it with hot sauce. The server tried to fix the shortage by bringing out the other piece of chicken that was suppose to go on the other English muffin. But the chef should not have put the server in that position. I ordered the Loco Moco. Hearing that the chef was from Hawaii, I thought they'd get authentic with this one...but it was a store bought thin hamburger patty that probably came from packs of 50. And the gravy was lacking in homemade authenticity. The eggs were at least done right. The Churro Toast...eh. Looked better in pictures from a year ago. Ours looked like it was fried in old oil. And they skimped on our fruit. Presentation in all our dishes were lacking in what they use to look like a year ago according to the yelp pictures. 180 difference. Service: SLOW. We waited an hour to get our food. Not the server's fault, inefficiency is in the kitchen. We were a party of 6. None of us are coming back. read more

Dim sum places usually give it for free! We ordered five items, plus tea, which ended up at 45$! Let's start with the food. The menu is simple and there's nothing wrong with that. My husband got their basic breakfast which is a standard eggs cooked the way you want, a meat and hashbrowns. The eggs were absolutely perfect. I feel that scrambled eggs are often over cooked and these were buttery and delicious. Very Gordon Ramsay worthy. I got the avocado toast. It is topped with a ton of avocados and two perfectly cooked pouched eggs. My issue with this dish was the construction. It has the salad on top of the avocado and eggs. In the whole, dishes very very dry. Rye has too strong of a flavor with such mild toppings. It would be so much better with a buttered country white. The service was perfect. If you have a party of 10, they will seat you at a 6-8 people table and assure you that table is always intended for parties of 10. Average food, good price, average to sub average service. We had a party of 14, so I tried calling (1pm Friday) 1 week in advance for our Sunday reservation. There was no answer, so I reached out via their website. Got an email in 2 minutes requesting for my #, so they could call. Didn't hear back, so I called at 8:45pm same night, and someone took my reservation. Had to change the party size to 10 on the day of our dinner, which they confirmed when I called at 1pm. They tried to be contemporary with the name, the decor and the dinnerware they use, but service is very much like a Chinese restaurant. When I arrived told them I am with my group and the lady said "oh ya, the party of 14". Didn't want them to expect additional people coming, so I corrected them it should be 10 based the call I made earlier. She immediately said something to another server. They had benches and picnic style tables for the patio. After i joined the group, one of the staff came and advised they were taking 1 table away for another group, since our party had just 10 people. We thought they would be bringing a small table instead, but no, they want our party of 10 to sit with our shoulders touching each other. We did let them know it feels pretty tight, but the staff reassured us that the table typically seats 10 and left. The same tables that night all had parties of 4-6. There was a large party besides us and their table / setup was bigger and seated more comfortably than us. It is an issue if you cannot update your reservation properly and force your guests to sit at a 6 ( at most 8) people table. We ordered: Truffle and chicken Beef fried rice w/ truffle Tofu/veggie Stir fried milk w/ seafood Ho Fan w/ chicken and broth Char siu (tender) Chicken/shrimp paste dish 1/2 order ($38) Laksa Melon dish with salted duck egg Glutinous rice ball w/ sesame filling and coated w/ peanuts ($18/6pc) Food was good and Chinese/Cantonese style with a subtle hint of fusion. Truffle dishes were gimmicky to make them seem fancy, but they are very reasonably priced. Actually prices are typical for a Chinese restaurant. We finally tried this restaurant after hearing so much about it. The food is good and fresh. The service is very good and attentive. Pricing is high comparatively to other Chinese restaurants. I actually don't mind having a pricy nice Chinese restaurant to dine at but the ambiance of this place is pretty poor. We sat at the outdoor bench table which is not particularly comfortable. Loved it! The Kung Pao was a stand out. Very fresh chicken and well seasoned. The beef brisket curry was delicious - get rice to soak up the extra curry. The Singapore Salmon salad is quite large and easily an entree and the blend of flavors was terrible. I've never had this dish before and it was lovely. Our waiter recommended a sake and it was so good. Very interior and ambiance though it is loud in the restaurant (there were three large tables). Nice to have a local restaurant. We don't know how to repay you. We shall be patrons for life at Colette :) The story. I had bookmarked Colette for a while and my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try today. The food was pretty good (quite tasty). We had Avocado Toast + Smoked Salmon (add-on), House Salad and Carnitas Breakfast Burrito. We've enjoyed it all and service has been good, but it was afterwards that really touched our hearts. At the end of our meal, my boyfriend was feeling unwell (nothing to do with the restaurant, purely personal). He had a medical condition with his heart and it acted up. He begun to sweat and laid his head on the table. I was about to call 911. That's when our server came by and offered to call 911 for us. Another patron came by and helped out. He helped my boyfriend to the floor and kept asking him questions and comfort him. For a minute I thought he was a nurse or an EMT. Anyways, many thanks to the man who provided all the help and support! Unfortunately, I didn't get his name, but I wanted to say, "Thank You" and tell that man, "You're truly great!" The fire truck & ambulance came. My boyfriend had turned pale, had shortness of breathe and low blood pressure by then. The paramedic/EMTs worked diligently. Our server also came by couple times to check up on me while the paramedic/EMTs worked on my boyfriend. She was so sweet! Another employee at Colette also offered support. He suggested chanting something printed on a card. I don't what it meant, but I really appreciate the emotional support. His caring heart and simple gesture was rather nice and sweet. (Actually, I think he said the phrase/chant was intended to be some sort of spiritual blessing - hoping my boyfriend will become well). The paramedic & EMTs worked their magic and my boyfriend was feeling much better and his blood pressure was up. "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you" to everyone that was there! Again, we couldn't thank everyone enough!! They were all very professional and did such an excellent job that we don't know how to express our gratitude. (Crying & thankful face) All the kindness, care, help and support we received today had made us feel warm & fuzzy inside. We truly appreciate everyone that was there today - the employees at Colette, the patron (man) at Colette and all the medical personnels. I must say I've been wanting to try this place since the day it opened and especially since it's so close to me but I hadn't had a chance to make it there until this morning and I'm so glad I did. I started off with a latte and it was superb. I ordered the breakfast burrito and to be honest it was the best I've ever had and so gigantic that I took the other half home. Surreal to see the local eggs benedict place turn into a Cantonese fusion restaurant, but I'm happy it happened. Service was great, parking was plentiful. Would suggest ordering the golden yolk luffa for veggies, crispy stuffed chicken (half order is enough for two) for protein. . Their laksa was better than others in the area (Prima type of flavor is you are familiar with the brand). If you are ordering tea, try the "Tou Cha with fragrant sticky rice" It's different in a good way. Dim sum is decent but nothing to write home about, considering you are minutes from many world-class dim sum powerhouses.
