I wanted to like this place. I've been past this shop many times and finally stoped in to try and it I have to say. Meh. Got an oat milk latte. It's my go to when I try a new place. The interior was warm dark coffee shop with hints of the buildings gilded age roots. They have their politics flag on display which lets you known you're welcome here. Lots of seating. Service was a little slow with one person taking orders and making drinks. But it's after noon so it's not unexpected. My only problem is that the coffee itself wasn't great. The coffee flavor was weak and just a hint over the milk. I wanted to like it more. It might just be the barista making the orders. I'll try again but just once more if the coffee is t

I discovered Command Coffee listed #11 after a search of breakfast options on yelp within a radius of my hotel in downtown Indianapolis. It was then I considered, chose and ordered from this cafe which was no more than .1 miles in distance from the hotel at the time, right within Monument Circle. There was a wait due to there being only one employee working behind the counter, plus other customers ahead of me. While waiting, I immediately identified and ended up ordering the 'plant-based sausage, egg, cheese and tater tot burrito' listed on the menu that was plastered along the counter. I chose to take my order to-go since I had an early flight with limited time to dine-in onsite. Command Coffee is an ideal spot for coffee, tea, breakfast or brunch; the restaurant itself appeared clean, and the atmosphere gave off a nice calm vibe. There are several tables and seats available inside the dining area. And with it being located within Monument Circle, there is the view of the Soldiers & Sailors Monument which sits feet from the storefront. Now as for my food, the plant-based sausage, egg, cheese and tater tot burrito was beautifully presented! It was also acceptably sized. My oh my and it had a taste that made my tastebuds salivate for more, * chef's kiss *. I was deeply satisfied with it! And the sauce given with it only enhanced what already tasted good about it. If you are one that enjoys plant-based foods, I highly recommend it because you will not be let down. Being that I had a great experience, I would gladly re-visit Command Coffee again when staying at any nearby hotel within downtown Indianapolis. And with that, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all. Ambiance: 5 | Service: 5 | Food: 5 ~ Good vibes coming your way ~ Thomas G

My friend and I were in Indy for a concert on Saturday night so we grabbed coffee at Command Coffee the next morning. I got a latte and it was good. The shop was cute and had good ambiance. Service was quick and friendly.

We went looking for the old Starbucks and found this instead. I really like this coffee place. Immediately the waitresses were very friendly. We ordered a coffee and a pastry. The inside was nice with nice furniture and very clean. I was able to ask for the bathroom code easily and the bathroom was very clean and nice. The location is great right in monument Circle. The coffee was good. The pastry was a little sweet, but very good. It was a nice little stop in from the cold. We would definitely return.

Walking around, I ran into this place and decided to give it a try. The picture of the drink speaks for itself. $7 straight in the trash. Looks like they gave me a mud pile.

Coffee lid drips. Expensive coffee not to have a lid that fits

Ok coffee. Bathroom didn't have soap. Coffee cup lid didn't fit and dripped all over my clothes and shoes

Cute little coffee shop right in the middle of mile Square went Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. They had one person on Barr but sorry for her, but she was hustling her little lineup order the flat the option of almond milk for regular milk. Seating may be only had spots for 15 people happy birthday this place looks like the awesome sort of hot food too would be hard to get if they only have one person on bar and a lineup.

Some speciality iced coffee drink whose name I do not know but the thing you see on top is cinnamon.

Okay juuuust when I was about ready to give up on this place because I didn't like my first two orders, they knocked my socks off. Full disclosure - I am new to the coffee game and simply don't know what I'm doing. But I eventually told the people working what I was looking for and they hooked me up with some sort of iced, chocolatey, drink with cinnamon. It was a party in a cup. I believe the people working were named Brie, Victoria, and Destiny. They were like a lil coffee consortium. If you have a coffee craving, I recommend going in there, describing for these ladies what you like, and enjoying what comes out at the service counter.

Yes! Yes! Yes! So happy to have a local coffee shop directly on Monument Circle. *This* is what we want visitors to see when they come to our city. The staff at Command was very friendly during our visit. I've been to their midtown drive thru location several times as well. They make a delicious cold brew! Word on the street is their vegan breakfast burritos are great too. They're in my hit list for next time! The space offers a few tables with the best view in town- Lady Victory. If it's full during your visit, worst case scenario you can sit on the steps of the Monument.

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

I will cut some slack on the service, however - I arrives after what seems to have been a very atypical rush of Journey fans who inundated the place before heading to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The staff seemed a bit rundown and slap happy - not really attentive to the bar where I sat. I waited a bit long before I was greeted with a menu, waited awhile with an empty glass, waited with my food pushed away before it was cleared. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.

It was super fresh and very flavorful. The chicken actually had a good buffalo flavor which many claim to have but don't. We also tried the Nutella crepes with bananas, strawberries, whipped cream and Nutella. In addition to being very large, it had a great taste and was very fresh. Another hit for sure. The avocado toast with salmon was really good. The flavors were spot on and as with the other food, very fresh and well prepared. The brisket burger patty melt was also done perfectly. The brisket patty was a perfect medium and the onions were grilled just right. We opted for mayonnaise instead of the Thousand Island dressing it comes with.
