They have WiFi but enforce a no-laptops policy after 5 pm! a little bit of parking in front but otherwise mostly street parking. also they actually no longer serve açaí bowls contrary to what's listed online but smoothies are served and are around $8-10. Cute little spot that's a cafe by day and a wine bar by night. They host cool events and fill up quickly inside. One thing my partner appreciates is the availability of chilled reds on the menu. My only complaint is I get eaten alive by bugs in the back, but they do have bug spray and fly fans! I just wish there was treatment (even citronella candles would do) back there too. read more

My friends and I met at this charming cafe in East Austin, and I was amazed by the inviting warmth of the intimate shop. The baristas greeted us, and they were so helpful. They gave us a quick rundown of all the drinks and food items they offer. They like to encourage conversation & creativity amongst the people in the community, so laptops are prohibited on the weekends as well as after 5pm on weekdays, they are closed on Mondays. There's a handful of parking spots in front of the cafe, or you can choose to park on the street in the neighborhood. There are beautiful plants and board games for you to play while in the cafe. They have tables outside on the patio, or they have tables, chairs, benches and couches inside. They have a dj booth since they have a dj at night, and they even had music records and merch shirts for sale. There were only 2 other small groups of people when we went on a Saturday morning. I choose a #2 smoothie, a turkey pesto sandwich (Turkey, Basil Pesto, Provolone Cheese, Sun dried tomato spread, mayonnaise. Served on a toasted ciabatta from Texas French Bread) and with a side of fresh berries. It was fresh, flavorful and delicious. I love to support small businesses, so I plan to be back on another quiet weekend morning. read more

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while, and finally made time to meet a friend for lunch and a little bit of work. Right off the bat -- there are very few parking spots in front of the business. Your best bet is free street parking in the neighborhood. Once inside, there are a few tables and two couches facing each other, as well as a few barstools, and then a little outdoor area. The place fills up quickly, especially since it's on the small side, so keep that in mind or try to get there early. The decor is really cool - lots of plants and vinyls. The menu is small, so easy to make a selection. I chose a hot latte and chicken salad sandwich on ciabatta. The latte was good, but sandwich was a little bland and mostly bread. This is probably a super cute spot to come to in the evenings when it's a wine bar. However, it was difficult to work here because it was pretty loud. You have a high chance of being served by the owner, and the baristas are exceedingly friendly and knowledgeable about their wine list. Their turkey pesto sandwich is deliciously crunchy. This is my favorite spot!!!! They serve natural wine and always have really good house wine picks. They have a packed schedule during the week with fun free events meant to get people together. Their new food and coffee is amazing!!! I never feel uncomfortable coming alone because the people who frequent it are a good time. Music picks are awesome. ALSO I love that they don't allow laptops on weekends or weekdays after 4 PM. I've had to leave coffee shops MANY TIMES because every table is taken up by a single person on a laptop. However, when I get there they say no laptops allowed on the weekend, so we had to leave. I totally understand no laptops after 4pm or 5pm but when people have stuff to get done or even in my case just working on personal projects for fun, it was unfortunate that we couldn't stay and try their coffee and food. I was really disappointed because there was so much space available including the outdoor tables as well as the indoor space, and they missed out on $30+ just because laptops weren't allowed on a Saturday morning. Stopped by this cute acai bowl place on a weekend afternoon for what I hoped would be the happiest of acai bowls, but the wait was a major letdown. It took over 45 minutes to get our bowls, which is a bit much for a quick snack. The person who took our order did warn us that it would probably take 20 minutes, but the actual wait was still much longer. I stopped by here with a friend for a light lunch and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is super cute- its trendy and fits in with the neighborhood well. There are some parking stalls in front but mostly its street parking, which is typical for East Austin. I do think the food options at this location are a bit limited- I hope as they keep growing they expand the menu a bit. However, if you are in the mood for some good coffee, matcha, and acai bowls- this place is great!! I thought it was interesting they have bowls with bee pollen in them. At first I was skeptical, but it added a little flavor and apparently theres a ton of healthy benefits to it! It is counter service, and orders come out pretty quick. The staff were all very friendly. If I lived close by I could definitely see this as becoming my new spot! Highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

An incredible vibey little spot in East Austin. I went around 2pm on a weekday and most people, myself included) were working on laptops indoors. They also had a pretty spacious outdoor space. I noticed however that the staff personally knew by name/interacted so wholeheartedly and communally with 3-4 customers who walked in during the 2 hrs I was there. They really seem to have a strong positive ethos going on. I ordered a cold brew banana smoothie add protein powder which was delicious and will go again just for that. I felt it was worth the $14 as it was large and just had a really nice flavor. Filled me up for sure. Turns out they transition into a wine/beer garden in the evenings so will be going back to check that out. read more

Nestled in a a visibly changing residential neighborhood near the Mueller neighborhood, community garden provides an approachable and comfortable vibey space in a clearly changing Austin landscape. After discovering them back before their official opening was announced on Instagram, I was so glad to finally have made the chance to venture out. There is plenty of street parking with a few spots in front. This may change as the neighborhood continues to establish its new residents as tear downs and new builds are completed. The interior is a plant lovers dream, with a beautiful interior that clearly boasts meticulous thought and effort for both the interior and exterior patio space. They host pop ups and seem to turn the remote friendly working space (lots of people with their laptops working) into a bar vibe in the evenings. Have yet to experience this for myself, but I was a big fan of their smiley açaí bowl ($10 - $12) and enjoyed the beautiful flowering vines and beautiful breeze (enjoy it while you can, y'all!) in their outdoor patio. Only thing I didn't enjoy - the bathroom. While it looked clean and tidy, it was very dim and smelled like someone had relieved themselves in a corner. Eek. Overall, great vibes and would definitely frequent again if in the area. read more
