I ordered the Smoked Redfish Toast. This was surprisingly incredibly delicious and filling. It was a tad on the sour side with the dill and lemon, but I still really enjoyed the fish and texture of the toast. Be careful of the birds here. There are a lot of birds that hang around, and one swooped in and stole the bun off my friend's breakfast sandwich LOL. Our waiter was kind enough to bring her a replacement bun, so don't worry if it happens to you! There's a lot of seating too. We got there at 1130ish but did not order til after 12 waiting on others. They have a smaller section bakery section indoors in one building and the bar in the other. Bartender was rude. We were informed that we could go to the bar to order drinks so when I went, she rudely commented that she was not taking any orders, we will have to order at our table. Other guests arrived so we ordered. I had the migas quiche and 3 others had the wagyu burger, with side of fries, mimosa (very small 6-8 oz glass) but light on the OJ which was perfectly poured so it kept me quiet. The food was good but disappointed while ordering in the app that other lunch items were not available, just the daily and brunch menu. Maybe that's all they offered, IDK. I love sour duck! Portions are huge and it's a great spot to grab a quick lunch. I came with a friend on a Monday. There's plenty of seating inside and outside (also lots of birds). You order at your seat and the servers will bring it to you. It doesn't take that long at all. I got the turkey sandwich with fries. It was very filling! I have been to this market quite a few times now, but this was my first time doing a pick up order and then deciding to drink coffee while at the location. I strongly recommend ordering an iced coffee drink while there because it does seem to be a bit bigger in size and also the customer service is incredible. I ordered the double Wagyu burger without any cheese and my order was perfectly received. The fries were limp and not cooked fully, but they were edible and had a nice seasoning on them. The Mexicano latte was the highlight and I recommend getting it with oat milk and iced. My friend got a black tea iced and it was really good. I've heard about this place being related to Odd Duck, but didn't check them out until recently! They have indoor and outdoor seating but whenever I see outdoor seating, I usually opt for that in good weather. Dog-friendly! They have WiFi for guests (password is on the napkins) and they have parking in the front and back of the market. You can order from the QR Code at the tables or head inside and get a whiff of their pastries. Water is self-serve. When ordering, you start a tab. If you forget to close out, they'll automatically charge you 20% tip. I ordered the honey cake all to myself! I probably should've shared it since it was pretty filling, but it was so delicious! I believe I finally have had enough trips to Sour Duck Market to write my review. Here's my take, why just go once, come back for more of their menu. One thing I take seriously are my reviews and giving any place the opportunity to show me consistency and all around goodness. First and foremost, I will like to compliment the friendly staff. They are extremely friendly, helpful, and everyone seems to really enjoy working there. Whether offering seating or sharing more about their menu:) That said, Sour Duck Market is a great place to come for a relaxed atmosphere and enjoyment. They have seating out back, some spots out front, and inside. I come here to study, but it's also a great spot to have a time with family and friends. The true yelp topic, however, is the food. And let's just say I'm on board with what others have said. I have tried the burgers, fries, sweets/pastries, and of course the drinks. My favorite of all these is a brisket sandwich with their fries! The brisket itself has an amazing sauce which I heard is made in house. This sauce is also used on the burgers and if you order either with their amazingly seasoned fries you won't be disappointed! As for drinks, I loved the Mexicano latte, that's my personal favorite. The spices and the espresso is well balanced and is my go to drink. That said, it is my favorite. They also have a caramel latte, but it is on the sweeter side. It's good, but sweeter than my liking. As for any pastries you get, I tried some of their fan favorite which include the honey cake and wow! As a baker myself, I quite enjoyed this cake since it was moist and the frosting itself was the perfect consistency and texture. It was also not too sweet and not overly powerful, but added what it needed to the cake. Anyways, I come here often, and would recommend to those looking for a sweet spot to enjoy with family. 1 Star Honestly, one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant. The bald waiter with the black earrings was extremely rude and had such a nasty attitude toward us. We specifically requested no sauce on our burgers, but they still came out with sauce. When we tried to address the issue, his attitude made us feel uncomfortable and like we couldn't even speak up about our order. The way we were treated also gave us racism vibes, which made the experience even more upsetting and uncomfortable. Customer service should never make someone feel unwelcome or disrespected. Tried brunch at Sour Duck Market recently. It's self-seating and you order through your phone, so service is pretty minimal overall. I went with the smoked brisket chilaquiles. The chilaquiles themselves and the egg were solid, but the brisket was extremely dry, very lean and chewy, which was disappointing and kind of took over the dish. Other dishes at the table seemed to be better received, so it might just be a matter of ordering differently next time. The setup is cute and has a great indoor spot for a more intimate setting, and a covered patio or outdoor section for larger groups. They had music playing and all the staff seemed in good spirits. We got the brisket sandwich (GENUINELY PHENOMENAL- my only note will be to order extra mustard next time) and the gnocchi on special (also great but heavy on pecans for my taste). The place: It's got a 50s diner vibe from the outside as viewed from MLK, but that opens into a vast outdoor beer garden with covered seating by way of permanent structures and folding umbrellas. If you have a question about your order it's hard to flag down someone to ask. The menu resets with happy hour specials, but I was told sometimes you have to remind them. Food and drinks come out fast due to a highly competent kitchen. The food: At happy hour prices (everyday 3-6) you can't complain too much about the Waygu smashburger although it's awfully thin. The fries were crispy but unusually small. The drinks were good. The bakery items unfortunately were hit or miss. We got the lemon pound cake and it seemed like it did been at the pound for a few days--stale. The bakery ran out of some of the cookies while we were there. (it does not come with fries btw) I was very impressed by the quality of ingredients here. That being said, everything tasted very good but was so close to being great. I would say that their sauces could use a little bit of work and their fries were almost perfect but seemed a bit overcooked.
