I had the best possible experience with Complete Heating and AC. We wanted to get central AC installed since our house gets insanely hot during the summer (due to our west facing windows). Our furnace was also towards the end of it's life, so it was a perfect time to get new heating and cooling setup for the house. Anita was great over the phone and explained the whole process and provided a ball park of what it would cost. Her knowledge and advice was very comforting. The actual estimate was easy and thorough. Ryan actually spent more time writing up the proposal with very specific details on what would be installed. I think he spent more time on the proposal than actually inspecting the house. That seemed weird to me, but it was just because he knew exactly what the house needed. The install took 2 full days, which was a little more than we anticipated, but based on all the work that needed to be done, I'm surprised it didn't take longer. From the fabrication of new vents, to the electrical work, including drywall, the crew did an amazing job. After it was all said and done, we're extremely happy. Ryan was very knowledgeable and patient with my questions, even responding to texts at night throughout the process. He didn't up sell me on bigger, stronger furnaces and AC units because of the efficiency gains that the new equipment provides. After talking to Anita and Ryan, I actually never got additional bids. I felt comfortable that I got a great price for a new furnace, new AC and new exhaust vent on the top floor. Now that we have everything installed, I think I made a great decision. Our air conditioner unit stopped working on a hot Friday evening, and in a Seattle summer, 77 degrees in a house is excruciating when you're used to having A/C. I tried the simple DIY checks but ultimately got to the fan motor not working and decided I need to find an expert. I asked friends and family for some recommendations and received three separate ones from people who don't know each other for Complete Heating and A/C. I tend to value personal recommendations more than internet reviews, so after deciding I would call them I look on Yelp and read reviews from other folks. I called on a Saturday morning (because there weren't business hours listed on their website) and spoke with Anita. She was surprisingly pleasant for a 9am phone call asking if someone was available to come look at my system. We agreed to speak again on Monday. After some phone tag back and forth, They were able to get someone out that day and we agreed on 4pm. I received a call from Ryan around 1:30 stating he was in the area and could be there at 2. I was already at home for the day anyway, so the sooner the better. Ryan came and did his diagnostics trying to see if it was something simple enough to fix quickly. He has a very professional and kind attitude as we walked through all the potential problems. Unfortunately it was determined that it was a larger problem, most likely being cause from the unit being over 20 years old. We weren't expecting to purchase a new unit, however we knew the old one was...well...old so it wasn't a complete shock that it finally broke down. We asked for a quote for a new system, which he provided. After some discussion we decided to go ahead and get a new system. We called Anita back and the soonest they had an opening for was in a week. Seattle forecast was for the next week to be in the upper 80's, possibly 90's and we just weren't prepared for that (having A/C kind of eliminated our need for portable a/c and fans). She was able to move around a couple of appointments and free up some fantastic folks to come two days later. In what turned out to be an absolute full day of work for them, Ryan, Jeremy, Ken and Wally did some completely stellar work. Taking out all of the old equipment and putting in the new equipment in a rather tight space, and making it look like it all came that way from the start. The new A/C unit connected with all new lines and ran in such a nice manner. And they even cleaned up some old dryer exhaust tubes to route them away from the A/C. I have had a lot of good companies work on various things around my house, but it is rare to find one where the entire process is so smooth and satisfactory. From the very first call, I felt like they really wanted to help me fix my stuff, and did everything they could to make sure we were repaired quickly. The gas furnace went out yesterday and the house was freezing! I had no idea who to call and checked some good company reviews on yelp and they were all able to come out in 1-2 days and charge me $150-175 as a base charge. I then realized there was a service schedule sticker on my furnace from this company and I gave them a call. (I just bought the house 2 months ago so everything was new to me!) They literally came out in 30 minutes! The technician was nice and walked me through everything he did so I could troubleshoot or call them next time. He fixed the problem quickly and they only charged about $72. I am very impressed and will continue using them for future services. read more

Awesome. My furnace just needed to be reset but I didn't know where the button was. I called at least 5 places on Friday and they all were "booked" but happy to send someone out at night or on the weekend at overtime (of course) otherwise I'd have to wait until Monday. I think Ryan sensed the desperation in my voice and offered to come out at 4pm - no upcharge. He reset it and did a maintenance (what we should do every 2 years). Cost $140. read more

Tom and Ryan are awesome. My husband and I decided to finally get A/C. We did not want a replay of last year. I called multiple companies and Complete Heating was the first one that could squeeze us in. Tom came over gave us the estimate and it was a better price than anticipated. Due to our house being built in the 70s and a very creative previous homeowner our Furnace had to be moved and we also had to add another breaker to our power box. Which Tom had no problem doing, I was expecting this to take a week or so since so much prep had to be done but they were here in the morning and when I got home from work I had a full functioning AC unit. The Complete Heating team from the very first phone call to the final good bye were friendly and professional. The other plus of both Tom and Ryan is how well they cleaned up. Amazing and thorough job! We just had air conditioning by Complete Heating & A/C in April, and couldn't be happier with the results! If you want a reliable, informative, on time furnace repair and service, this is the company. Called and set an appointment, Ryan called 20 minutes before arrival, diagnosed the problem (needed a new motor), ordered all the parts immediately, gave me a written estimate, and said he could pick up the parts and return to install the next day at 1 pm! He called the next day 20 minutes before his arrival, installed the new motor in less than 1 hour, cleaned an serviced the furnace and was done within an hour and a half!! Wow! On site electronic charge to pay, written detailed invoice and email charge receipt!! Furnace runs great! Ryan also took the time to explain how the furnace works and showed me all the major operating systems!! I will definitely be calling Complete when I service my A/C this summer!! I seem to have had the same experience as many others on here. I like to support local business, but not with this company. I called to set up an appointment and like others, was told I would get a call back. I waited a week and then called back. The woman said she was at the DMV and would call me back in an hour. She did not. I finally called back again and was able to set up an appointment for about 3 weeks out. The day came but no one showed up. I had taken off work to be home for them, so it was really upsetting. When I called to ask what happened, there was no apology and no explanation. First they didn't bother to call me back when I called and their administrative lady was away from the desk. Then I called back to schedule and they no showed my furnace maintenance appointment. They only do maintenance M-F, and since weekdays off are a rarity for me this is a major inconvenience. I'll be going elsewhere. read more

We didn't have / know HVAC company so I looked at Yelp and found this company. Anita was helpful when I called and explained our situation. Thank goodness Anita said that she could fit us in the afternoon. Wally came later in the day (as other reviewers said - may not always be the case of same day service and Anita was good about explaining that). I recently decided to have A/C installed in my home. I did a lot of research on different companies and finally decided to go with Complete Heating & A/C. It was the best decision I ever made. All the guys were courteous, respectful and extremely helpful in making sure that I understood what was happening and what I needed to be mindful of in the future. They took such wonderful care of every detail and went above and beyond to make sure that all of the odd machinations that had previously been done to my furnace were attended to before the A/C install so that I won't have problems in the future, including installing a needed shut-off valve on my water heater that was recently installed by someone else. I purchased a Rheem furnace from Complete Heating in 2009. Their service was excellent and the furnace is great. Since then I have had the furnace serviced every year. The price is very reasonable and the technician, Ryan, is very knowledgeable and professional. One month ago I had to have new heating ducts installed in my crawl space. This involved replacing almost every one of them. Ryan completed this job in one day and did an excellent job. I am now getting heat in my addition, which has been a problem since we had it built. Ryan, Thom and team all did an amazing job. First, on the consultation side, Ryan did a fine job making recommendations based on my size of home and current equipment. He provided both the pros and cons and didn't try to up-sale me. Anita, back in the office, was very pleasant to work with and got me scheduled as efficiently as she could. The best part was installation day. Thom showed up at the agreed upon hour. The rest of his crew was not too far behind. The scheduled electricians came out and got their part done in no time. My furnace is located in my attic, which even on a warm day (75 degrees) like today, made the work up in the attic at least 115 degrees since we get full sunlight all day long. Despite that, there were no complaints from the team and they were extremely professional and pleasant despite the hellish conditions. They got everything installed and they put drop cloths all over the place and cleaned up afterwards. Everything was done extremely well and exceeded all of my expectations. Now, I did provide a huge jug of lemonade and donuts to keep them going, but they would've done great even if I didn't. Anyway, if you want a great install team and a seamless process from beginning to end, you'd do well to trust Ryan, Thom and the entire team at Complete. They said they would give us a call ahead of time as we had some errands to do and did in fact call 30 minutes prior to arriving. Our furnace died on Sunday and it was 30 degrees outside. We called our usual company, they couldn't fit us in until Friday, and that was just for a look see. So we were fortunate to find Complete Heating, Tom came over within 45 minutes of my initial call, and determined we needed a new furnace, . Tom didn't try to sell us the most expensive furnace, he discussed options with us and didn't pressure us in any way, I never got the slick salesman vibe at all, His company also replaces water heaters and they were more than happy to replace ours, which was on its last legs anyway. He and his crew came on Thursday and did the whole job in a matter of hours. They were friendly, they were efficient, they cleaned up beautifully after they were done, they walked me through some of the important points about the furnace and the water heater, and it was the best experience. I picked this company because of many positive reviews I read online. Unfortunately, I did not have their same experience. My experience matched those few negative reviews. Made two appointments to get a quote for an AC install, no one showed up either time. It was difficult enough to schedule the appointment as I had to email them a couple times to get it set up. When I finally did, I didn't officially confirm via email (which is probably my fault) so they decided to email me the day of. Didn't get the email until I got home, which was 30 minute before my appointment. I sent a quick email that said I was home and waiting. Then I got a phone call that said they had cancelled my appointment because I didn't respond. If they had my phone number, why didn't they call me before they cancelled the appointment? Angry and frustrated, I told them to forget about it and I'd call someone else. Anita told me I was being unfair to them and then followed up with an email asking to please let them quote my AC. I was feeling extra nice that day, so against my better judgement, I agreed. We scheduled an appointment for the following week. This time I left work even earlier to get to their appointment. No one showed up. This time I didn't get an email or a phone call. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more
