There were 6 of us on 7/21 for dinner. We went early to ensure we could get a seat inside since the weather was so HOT. Our waitress, Alexa, was so fun and very helpful! She never let us sit too long without coming by to see if we needed anything. My sandwich was awesome along with some great sweet potato fries. Husband and I went for our anniversary dinner. Waitress took our drink orders, came back to drop one drink, said she was waiting for the other and started to walk away. We had to ask to order an appetizer. She brought the appetizer and started to walk away again. We had to ask to order dinner. The food was good. She asked if we needed to go boxes and brought those promptly but then disappeared again. A bus boy came by and cleared our table before she ever returned with the check. The first time I visited here on a Saturday night and we sat inside, I ordered spicy crawfish and it came out at lightning speed! Our waitress was nice but visibly very busy as there were quite a lot of tables. The crawfish was cooked well, tasted great and $10/lb. We also got a flatbread that was good but nothing fantastically noteworthy. Food was good, view even from inside was good, a DJ outside, atmosphere was nice inside and party outside, service was good for how busy they were. The second time we sat outside on a Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was nice but again was very busy, to the point she seemed to rush a bit too much. Crawfish took a normal amount of time to come out but we also ordered a grilled Cheese that took over 30 minutes for someone else, not our waitress, to come out and say that "the kitchen lost the ticket". A few minutes later we had to remind our waitress of the grilled cheese and that someone came out to ask what he had ordered and my son was still missing his fruit cup. She was very confused and began asking who it was that came out and what they said. About 5 minutes later the grilled cheese finally came out. It was very good, though not worth the wait and price. I would like to try a weekday and see the atmosphere and if there's a better service quality when it's not so hectically busy. After temp and humidity moderated we were excited to have lunch on the patio. Great view of lake activity, service was excellent and food was very good ( boudin egg rolls and fish tacos). The only downside was the music was so loud you couldn't talk to each other. Asked to have it turned down but still not pleasant for us. Love this place and will be back if they dial down the music. I've been here before with my mom on lunch. We had the shrimp tacos and friend shrimp. They were good then. Tonight, I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday and what a difference. He ordered the large Bloody Mary and I can honestly say it was the worst Bloody Mary mix I've ever tasted. I'm not sure what it was, but it wasn't it. I ordered the bbq glazed salmon and it was so overcooked, I could barely get my fork through it. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp platter. The shrimp were so overcooked and rubbery, it looked fake. The best part about the meal was the pineapple coleslaw and the waitress being kind about the entire situation. After she removed the two meals off our tab it was STILL $82. 2 drinks, a side salad, and appetizer with tip. This place is nice but it's not worth it. Will not be back. read more

What an amazing location for a restaurant on the lake! They had a huge outdoor area with a playground, a dog park, some cornhole, a little beach so you can swim, and they also had a stage for music as well as plenty of outdoor seating and a bar outside. The inside was SUPER cute! The menu was very much "Texas" inspired with queso, tacos, brisket, and chicken fried steak and chicken. I really liked my shrimp tacos, my husband had the grilled cheese with brisket, and my kids loved theirs meals, too. We will absolutely be spending more time here. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was because it took a VERY long time to get our food, and they gave us drinks in red solo cups (my guess is their cups haven't arrived from restaurant supply?). We visited this past Saturday, 3/26. The place was hopping! They have a great setup to wait, with a playground for the kids and an outside bar. Win win. Our wait time wasn't bad, ~45 minutes or so on a Saturday afternoon at 5:45. I felt like the crew did a good job seating people as quickly as they could. After being seated, our table had been "cleaned" but not actually cleaned. There were no dishes or anything on the table, but it was dirty. We wiped the table and booths down with a baby wipe we had in our diaper bag. The kids ordered a flatbread pizza & the Mac & Cheese. Both were solid. Us adults orders crawfish as well as the peel & eat shrimp. The shrimp was seasoned well but overcooked. The crawfish on the other hand had very little seasoning. A solid indicator for the season is always the potatoes and corn, they soak up the boil well. The potatoes were bland, no seasoning at all. They were sold out of corn. Their menu says crawfish served with corn, potatoes & melted butter. When you order, all of them are charged separately, they are not included with the crawfish. We left there with a big "meh" feeling, but it was specifically because of the crawfish. We will likely dine in again, just sticking to the main menu. Why 4 stars? Because there are still a few kinks to work out. --- --- --- When this opened recently, the wife and I made a conscious decision to let them get a little time before visiting, as it's pretty common for the early days of a new restaurant to be a bit chaotic. So about a month after opening their doors, we thought it would be a good time to stop in. We saw a lot of cars in the parking lot, so we were worried there might be a lengthy wait, but little did we know how massive this place is and how many tables they have. Not only was there an open table for us, but there were many others. The issue is that they probably should have purposely not sat the entire section we were in because we had several problems. But before I get to that, I will point out that the beauty of the location is the best I've seen off Lake Conroe so far. They did a great job at making sure the entire lake-facing side was essentially one giant window so that you have a great view of the water from pretty much anywhere. Now, to the issues. 1) We ordered chips and queso and attempted to order it with brisket added, but they were out of brisket. 2) That also meant I could not order the BBQ burger as I intended, because it came with brisket. 3) After our server left, a few minutes later, I grabbed her and ordered a drink and meal for our toddler, which I forgot about. We had to ask twice for the drink later on before finally getting it about 15-20 minutes after ordering. 4) We heard the server tell a nearby table that they couldn't order a drink because they were "out of cups" and needed to wash the ones they had recently bussed. 5) Our food took an inordinate amount of time to come out (30+ minutes), and when it did, it did not include our son's food. 6) We never received our chips and queso, so we just asked them to remove it from our bill and forget about it. 7) After eating, we took our son to the playground, which is half the reason we went. The playground is surprisingly junky and not the safest because some of the bars are loose and not fully screwed in. Ok, that's all. So why am I still giving 4-stars? 1) The aforementioned view and scenery is superb. 2) I realize that service issues are not unique to this place and plaguing tons of other businesses in the restaurant/retail space right now. 3) And once we got the food, it was actually pretty great! I went with the Mac Daddy burger and really, the only complaint I have is that I really wish I could have tried the BBQ burger. But this one was a solid consolation prize. And my wife's chicken fried steak was one of the better ones we've tried, and we've tried MANY. So we will come back, especially when bringing visitors to the area, but hopefully they are able to hire some more staff during this challenging time. read more

Problem was it took forever to get the crawfish and apparently the rest of the food and drinks we ordered sat in the window waiting for the crawfish to cook because the food was cold and the drink was melted. Like other reviews have said they want to like the place and they have good views. I know it's very hard to get staff and that may have been the problem but when you don't get any communication you get to decide it out for yourself. The new owners also own moonshiners, combined your staff and focus on one restaurant until you figure out how to make one good one read more

We had an unfortunate experience here tonight. It's a Friday night and the parking lot is full. We've been here before and had no qualms returning. My husband and I both ordered a burger and fries. We got our food quickly, but as soon as we took our first bites, we both had the same thought, the burgers were not at all fresh. I took about 3 bites and hit a bone chip. My meal ended. My husband was a trooper, he kept going. He had powered thru the first half, despite the flavor. Then he bit into a bone chip. Very unfortunate. We got our server, Ellie to get us our check. It seemed obvious to me that we didn't like our burgers, but she didn't even ask. I don't know about that, I know I would definitely ask if everything was alright. Part of me thinks she didn't ask because she already knew. Even the water was nasty. We both ordered waters , but after my first taste, we ordered other drinks.
