I literally just left and got home to try my spinach empanada. Unfortunately, they gave me spicy beef instead. Although, I bit into it and the flavor is good, I can't eat any spicy food due to my ulcers. My suggestion, for anyone going is say what you want loud and clear so the order isn't wrong. I had to throw it away which was a bummer! Im on my way to Rainbow Donuts for a ham and cheese croissant now. Definitely will try this place one more time and hope they get my order right. read more

Their empanadas are to die for. You place your order at the back of the store and wait for like 5-10 minutes, during which you can pick up a bottle of the chimi churri sauce. When your empanadas are ready, they give them to you in a box piping hot, and finally you can walk up to the register and pay. Then you can go home and enjoy your empanadas with the chimi churri sauce and be happy for the rest of the day. My favorites are the spinach and the pomodoro, but there's a variety, so I'm sure you can find one you like. read more

They advertise on side of building their Empanadas which are very good, but it's also a great small grocer that carries many needs for Latin American cooking. I decided to try somewhere different and had read about their empanadas being amazing and since I had never had one before thought I would give it a try. We ordered 12 empanadas and some carne asada and produce and salsa. I thought this place would be like any other meat market but I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was and how helpful the employees were. One of the guys behind the meat counter even gave my son who is 2 and a half several cookies before we left. The quality here is really good, the place is very clean, and the main reason I will be returning is the customer service, everyone was pleasant helpful and seemed very happy. I left in a good mood. I'm pretty sure this is my new go to place for asada and of course empanadas. I'll be back! - after actually eating several of the empanadas I must say, these things are amazing! So delicious! Nice little meat market to purchase products from Argentina and other South American countries. It's clean, aisles well organized and full of different products. Customer service is nice and helpful and make you feel welcomed. You will also find a meat market in the back with meat cuts from Argentina, sour cream from different countries, a small bakery corner with cookies and "alfajores", and you can order empanadas. My favorite are beef, but you can mix and match if you want with your options of spinach, chicken, spicy beef, spicy chicken, and I think ham and cheese. It takes them 10-15 minutes to get them ready in the oven for you to take home nice and warm. They have a parking lot next to the market, so you do not have to park in the busy street. The only thing i have tried are the empanadas...every single one of them are delicious! My favorite is fhe spicy chicken and beef...too bad they don't come with chimichurri and they should sell some fresh chimichurri on the side too! They have some other dipping sauce that are freshly made but i believe it's not chimichurri. Wow, thank you yelp for this recommendation. We finally checked out this little gem in our neighborhood. We couldn't wait to get them home so we sat in the parking lot and popped open the box, the spicy chicken an spicy beef were our favorites, the meat to dough ratio is perfect the dough isn't too thick, the fillings are flavorful and seasoned just right. I found this awesome store by accident while driving. Went in and bought a dozen epenadas. Two of each spicy chicken, regular chicken, spicy beef, regular beef, spinach, and one that has cheese inside can't remember the name. It took about 5 minutes for them to prepare. The guy at the counter is super friendly. He dais they are cooked half way then when a customer orders them they put them in the oven to finish cooking them. At home, I ate one of each. They are all so delicious. I can't decide which is the best one. The guy also said I can buy them uncooked and sore them in the freezer. I'm going back for more soon. read more

I've been buying empanadas from the Hawthorne loc for couple years. I decided to start buying in Gardena bc it's closer. I went in today and they were totally undercooked. I don't get it after driving 30 min why would you wrap the box and hand me pail undercooked empanadas with soft dough. I had to come home and put them in the oven. It's not always like this but I guess you have to mention to them to make sure they're cooked. I like this store but I want to mention this so that they can do better. read more

We live down the street from this market. Recently it changed hands and it has really improved under the new ownership. The people are friendly and they keep the property clean. They have a great selection of Latin and American products, sodas, beer and wine. Meat case is full of nice cuts of meat. It has a deli for sandwiches and very tasty empanadas. read more

Ordered 1 dozen empanadas and had been waiting for a while when the lady asked me what I ordered. I told her specifically of combos and she even confirmed "12". Stupid me that I didn't check until after my 20min drive home. While getting out of the car, I noticed the box is a bit smaller so I counted and there was only 10! So I called and told them. A lady asked me if I wanted to come back to get the remaining two. Told her I live sort of far. Again , she offered for me to come pick up the two empanadas!!! I can't believe there are only 34 reviews at the time I'm writing this! Went to Shin-Sen-Gumi about half a mile away from this place, then after lunch needed some dessert. Walked in for some empanadas to take home for dinner, and got some churros for a dollar each. OMG the dulce de leche churros OWN the churros that are served at Disneyland and those cost eight dollars each! Seriously, the quality of the food is superior. Although I love the price point, I would understand if they needed to raise prices a little bit just to match the quality they serve. Amazing! Great empanadas, had the spicy chicken and beef, had the regular chicken and beef, and a wonderful version of spinach, kinda like a crispy pastry version of a spanakopita, so nice that they warm them in an oven to properly crisp them.
