For a fast food experience hands down better than others around it. Nothing fancy but for 5 dollars get a decent burger and two sides and drink or for a buck more get a shake. Second time ever going to Cookout in two days. This location is usually packed after going out so be prepared for a wait. The food, actually the first time I had it was yesterday was very good, no complaints. I had the cheddar burger, no mayo and it was superb! SLOWEST DRIVE THRU OF MY LIFE. I've been here a dozen times, various days and times and it's always the same. Once it took 33 minutes from the time i entered the drive thru to pulling away. I used to go to cookouts every other day in college in NC where theyre known for their minute or less drive thru!! But with this location i rarely stop as it's never worth the wait. Please wrap your food in another paper if you want to keep it neat. No one likes wet sloppy buns. It makes the sandwiches sloppy and slippery and defeats the purpose of the "keeps the sandwich neat" concept. I went there the other night and requested that my burger not be wrapped in foil. The young lady replied with an attitude. I am sure others don't like wet sloppy bread and if Cookout considers this and spend a little more money on the right paper to wrap with, you might have 5 stars but then again you probably won't have cheap prices right??? Always your best bet when it comes to a quickly prepared meal at a great price. Fast food would be an insult due to its implied association with McDonalds down at the bottom of the barrel. There isn't a competitor in business with the ability to even compare when you consider the huge variety of choices, the serving size, or the taste of all available ingredients. Slow drive thru. Took 30 min to get through the line. Order taker forgot the order at least three times. Chick fila is next door.

My fiancé stopped at cookout on the way home and sat in the drive through line for 5 mins with no one taking her order. She then went to the drive thru window and had to tap on the window for someone acknowledge that she was there to place an order. After placing the order the drive thru worker did not tell her the price just took her card and suck her teeth as she handed the card back. After placing the order and waiting for 5 mins for two milkshakes and an order or hush puppies we finally got our order. When we got home we notice that they got one of the milkshakes wrong and when we tried to call the restaurant the phone just rang and rang and rang with no answer. Called 4 times with no answer. When we were there numerous workers were playing on there phones and just standing around instead of helping customers. Very unhappy about the horrible service we got and the fact that no one answered the phone to when we called to let them that they screwed up the order. I want something done about this! We also got charged for things we did not order as well. I bet this just goes unnoticed and I will not get any response from anyone. Very DISRESPECTFUL RESTAURANT! My first time at Cookout because so many of my friends recommended it. Great food highly recommend it! I had the cookout tray and it was cheap and amazing, a lot of food too! The customer service is some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. I felt like they actually were excited to have me eat there, and very very attentive. Very very clean. THIS IS FOR THE 1112 NORTHSIDE DR, Atlanta, GA. location. Since there isn't a Yelp page for that location somehow. My husband and I had the misfortune of visiting your 1112 Northside Dr location in Atlanta, GA. We went through your drive through. For a 14 dollar order, we were charged 40 dollars. Then when I was trying to speak with the manager on staff regarding getting my money back, he put his head through the drive through window and yelled at us. I am not exaggerating when I say that he YELLED. He raise his voice at long time customers, he was insanely condescending and rude, not to mention mean and nasty. He trusted the receipts in our faces and yelled at us and told us it "wasn't his job bc he doesn't work in a bank". We were appalled by the treatment we received tonight from the night manager. We have been longtime customers of cookout (ever since cookout came to atlanta) and this is the first time we were treated so disrespectfully. We were appalled that someone like that was hired to manage a popular chain restaurant location. He has horrid customer service skills. He treated us with contempt and disrespect. He was condescending and rude and we cannot believe he would yell at us when your restaurant screwed us out of 40 dollars over 14 dollar food. The night manager we are referring to is a middle aged African American man. He almost wouldn't give us our food, we had to physically ask for our food. He was going to tell us to leave without even giving us our food!! Regarding the money we were owed, there was no apology. Super inexpensive...you get what you pay for. Food was bland (even the Burgers that they are "known" for). It's not awful food but unfortunately....you can get McDonalds for the same price and McDonalds tastes better. Very loud inside as well and they use styrofoam EVERYTHING which is very wasteful. Let me first say that this is the most extensive late night fast food menu that I have ever seen. They pretty much have anything that you could ever want available which I think is the absolute bomb! Spicy chicken sandwich is so good and someone had a cheeseburger which was also delish, the fries were good too. Everything was hot and fresh and didn't taste like it had been sitting out like typical late night fast food places. The prices are also very reasonable. Do NOT eat at this location if you have any allergies! I asked for my milkshake to be made without coming into contact with peanut butter or peanuts specifically because I am allergic. Yet I still found a peanut at the bottom of my milkshake and ended up having a severe allergic reaction to it. It's one thing if it happens normally, it's another if it happens when you ask for it to specifically be made to avoid it. They could have at least told me that it wasn't possible if they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't come in contact with peanuts. read more
