Cute spot with plenty of room in a very busy shopping center. A few stores from SF market. Plenty of parking space but good luck with getting one up front during the weekend. Had their Taro Milk Tea with Boba and Lyche Jelly. Young lady asked "want to make this a large?" In which I replied "why not". HUGE!!! It contained a generous of jelly and boba which I appreciate but the taste was just mid. Mid as in - I've had it better! It has this after taste that just didn't register well to my taste buds. Took it home and my son had the rest and he too said it was just ok. They have a nice menu selections and offeres desserts so I'll come back to give it another go!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I walked in, and it seemed pretty empty and no music was playing initially. Strange boba environment at first, but it didn't bug me much. I order a regular Passion Fruit Green Tea with lychee. First off, their sizes are HUGE for the price. It's hard to find affordable boba these days, and this place had great servings. Secondly, the drink came out in a timely fashion and was pretty good. Not too sweet and the toppings tasted fresh too. Will be coming back!

We usually go to the Cool Tea near us but since we were in Sacramento we figured why not check it out. It's super clean with tons of seating. The girl working was super nice and helpful. We ordered Kumquat Green Tea, Blueberry Matcha with boba & Mango Smoothie with Lychee Jelly. Everything was super yummy! We'll be back next time we're in town!

I have a soft spot for this boba shop because I used to come here all the time, but I can't help but feel like the quality has went down a little. Maybe they changed their recipes because I remember the roasted milk tea being darker in color and having a stronger roasted tea taste. Customer service was good, as we were greeted right away and our order was made fairly fast. The drinks here are usually on the sweeter side, so I make sure to adjust the sweetness. The inside of the store was redesigned to look more modern. There always seems to be a distinct smell inside that reminds me of cleaning products, but I do not mind. They have a cute photo wall, board games, and a good amount of seating available!

just very mid tbh. i got the dragon fruit black tea and it was just meh. 70% was mildly sweet. flavor wasn't too bad but j tasted a lil artificial fosho. also me and my duo were like the only ones in there but the drinks lowkey took a minute. mid

Oolong Milk Tea

This place is underrated, it may not be as Instagramable as other newer hip boba spots, but it has never failed me and always consistent. Although they don't have as many unique drinks as other places, the drinks here are legit and very tasty!! One of my go to places given reasonable price for what you get. The sizes are much larger than most other boba places. Drinks I've tried: 1) Oolong milk tea - my go to favorite here! Perfect blend of tea and milk. I typically like to add either boba or aloe 2) Roasted milk tea 3) House milk tea 4) Honey green tea 5) Lichi green tea 6) Taro smoothie - A MUST TRY!! -recommend adding boba, although still delicious without it -love how they use real Taro! -they will ask if you have tried it since it's not going to be the artificial purple power that most places use There are plenty of tables and seats inside to hang out or get work done. Overall: do not sleep on this place! You get more bang for your buck and excellent quality.

Hands down the best boba shop in Sacramento! My drinks are always made perfectly, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond--one of the employees even remembers my preferred sugar level! It's that personal touch that makes this place truly special. I absolutely love it here.

Ordered a large Thai tea, with Boba add on. They now have waffle desert options in store. I bought 2 loose leaf teas oolong and camellia green tea to take home they were on sale for 2 for $10.

Ask the Community - Cool Tea Bar

What are your hours? Have they changed because of Covid?

We are open 11am - 9pm

Are there options for dairy free , or substitutes like almond milk, oat milk etc?

There are no substitutions but the milk tea is made with a non-dairy creamer.

Do they sell pearl milk tea and just not put it on the menu?

Employee here! Yes we do. Just say pearl milk tea and we'll know what you mean. It translates to a Tea Bar Milk Tea with Tea Balls at our location.

Recently discovered Nameless Tea & Coffee, and I'm already a fan of their Mango Matcha Latte!…read more The shop was a little tricky to find at first, but it's tucked behind the Governor's Mansion. It's a very small spot with a self-ordering kiosk and a couple of small tables inside. Their menu has a great variety of drinks, from matcha and smoothies to coffee and tea. I ordered the Mango Matcha Latte at 50% sweetness, and it was excellent. They use real mango, the matcha wasn't overly bitter, and the flavors were smooth, well-balanced, and refreshing. It was a really good drink, and I'm looking forward to coming back to try more of their menu.

Inside was a little small, but again that's just downtown for you. If you think you're gonna be able to sit and study here that's not likely. If there are 3 people sitting inside you'll likely have to stand awkwardly around till your drinks come out. While the staff was really kind, I felt really bad cause there was only one person. All orders, all questions, all DoorDash orders.. only one. My friend and I ordered only two drinks but it took over 30 mins to get them. Overall the drinks were good but nothing I'd go out of my way for. I'd definitely give it another chance, maybe i came on an off day. But truthfully I felt it was overhyped.

Everyone ALWAYS carps about how great of a coffee shop this is. WELL LET ME TELL YOU. It's…read moretrue..these aren't like the other beans..And I've encountered plenty of legumes. I must say, the way I salivate at night while the thoughts of the bean water parade on my tongue, traversing through my mind. Oh my. Each morning I wake up EAGER to swirl my tongue in a fresh cup of mud, flicking the flavor notes off my palate, the cold foam droplets landing on the leather bound couch. They know me. I'm a regular. All the baristas flirt with me, well the boys do at least. Specifically the short one. I don't mind it. Makes me feel special. One of a kind. It's as if, I am being cradled in the same way they cup their hands around the milk pitcher while inserting a warm wand. So assuring and safe. I order the same drink once or twice a day, a light ice soy milk venti quintuple dirty matcha with vanilla & extra whip. Probably nobody orders that other than me. I'm obviously unique. That's why I get my coffee from Temple. I've tried to order this elsewhere, and every time it's just not the same..That's why Temple coffee is MY SPOT. They know how to satiate my lust for craft coffee. I know what I'm getting. They know what I want. And they always deliver. Keep grinding, JC

Temple is hit and miss. Their places are nice but it's overstated and overpriced for mediocrity…read more $19 for two beverages?! I ordered a Camp Oasis and Campfire. The Oasis sounded good but it was revolting; one sip and no more, straight to the trash. The Campfire was better but meh. I wish there were an option to take back charges and tips. If businesses can do it, why can't we, it should be a two way street. I judge a coffee shop by their cappuccinos. If a basic can be crafted well then that's a good foundation of espresso for other beverages. Some are too bitter, some are too bland and some are just right. Temple's espresso, at all of their shops, is too bitter. It's a bad foundation for everything else and it shows. And why I don't visit more often. Oh, and one more thing, their staff. If you don't look like them, you know the type, then they aren't friendly to you. I watched and then experienced this disparity in the interactions with "like" people in front of me and then myself.

I Go Nutty For Brazilian Coffee!…read more SITREP On my walks home down K Street from the Central MIdtown Sacramento District, I often pass by World Travelers but had never gone it. Today that changed! THE SETUP Living in Midtown Sacramento, I (try) to pride myself in discovering every nook & cranny of caffeine goodness that lurks in my neighborhood (at least within a 6-7 block radius). Well well well, it was high time for me to discover World Traveler Coffee! ARI AND HER BRAZILIAN No no, not THAT kind of Brazilian, but the varietal of coffee that is Brazilian! Ari got me turned on (no no, not THAT way) to her delicious brew of Brazilian. I usually go for the fruity (and, yes, I am THAT kind of quirky fruity), but in this case Ari convinced me to NUTTY (and isn't funny how coffee notes of "Fruity" and "Nutty" can ALSO refer to my state of mind? :D So rich, so earthy, so sublime. It was revelatory choice for me and I thank Ari for it. I MIGHT have actually caught a glimpse of the owner too, who laughed when I showed Ari her picture of herself I posted on Yelp to "Make her famous." The owner said, "It's about time!" I laughed. THE LOWDOWN A great place for coffee, for Brazilians (coffee-kind) and teasing Ari! :D

Stopped by the Midtown Sacramento location and ordered the strawberry matcha latte with soy milk…read moreand the Calabrian chicken sandwich. The strawberry matcha latte looked pretty, but the flavor was just okay. The strawberry was pretty mild and got a bit lost behind the matcha, and with soy milk it tasted more earthy than creamy. Not bad, but not something I'd go out of my way to order again. The Calabrian chicken sandwich was decent but didn't live up to the name. The chicken was cooked well, but I was expecting more heat and bold Calabrian flavor. It also felt a little dry and could've used more sauce to bring everything together. The cafe itself has a nice, relaxed vibe and is a good spot to sit and chill or get some work done. Service was fine, nothing memorable, but no complaints either. Everything was okay, just not standout. I might come back to try other drinks or food, but this visit didn't fully impress.
