I would give 0 stars if I could. Do not go here they will rip you off on your credit card. I am disputing a transaction with my bank because they over charged me almost twice what they should have. They said I tipped them $68! Ridiculous! These people are liars and shady. I didn't ask for a receipt because I didn't think something like this would happen or I would have addressed the issue immediately. The next day I tried to settle the matter with them directly but they refused. I am more than happy to and capable of paying for an honest charge, but I don't appreciate getting ripped off. I come here quite often on Friday and Saturday nights and service is really a hit or miss as well as the entertainment. Here on a Saturday morning for the first time and cannot express how great the service from the bartender, Jose, was. On point. Always checking up on me if I'm okay with my order. I will say I liked the burger I got. The reason I am giving a low star rating is the way they treated the band that was playing. After the show the band sat next to me. I was talking with them. They were a local band from Ventura county. One of the members was talking with the manager about getting paid. She told them they were doing the show to get free drinks. She said if they have some kind of proof they they were to be paid then she would consider paying them. One of them had an email from her saying how much they would be paid. She said that was only if they were asked back they would be paid. I won't support a business that doesn't want to support local talent. read more

Very disrespectful treatment from TRACY a supervisor, this has been one of the most unprofessional experiences I have had to where paying customers have bumped into her on accident (in a crowded BAR!) and she kicked out a group of loyal recurring customers off of pure emotion. People in our group who didn't drink a drop of alcohol were just as/more surprised and confused by the situation. I LOVE the decor inside of Copper Blues. Drinks were delightful. But the food left us wanting. I had the cheese pizza and it seemed cheap. The crust was dry, thin and flavorless - like a cracker. I like thin crust pizza but it needed some olive oil or other flavor. When I asked for some parmesan, I was brought shredded mozzarella. My boyfriend had the chicken quesadilla and wasn't happy with it. There was a lot of chicken but there should have been far more cheese. And it needed some real spice, like chopped peppers. The menu claimed that the tortilla was jalapeño infused but we couldn't taste it. On top of that, the corn relish was pickled. With little cheese or spice to offset the vinegar, the taste was overwhelming. We had the ice cream sandwich for dessert. I should have asked to have it taken off the bill. After trying to break the dry, hard cookies into edible pieces with 2 spoons, the minimal amount of ice cream dissolved. We left it pretty much untouched at our seats but no one noticed. On the flip side, drinks were great. They have local beers on tap and creative mixed drinks. What I really liked were the copper shots. The Copper Fire (whiskey infused in-house with vanilla, cinnamon and chili pepper) was AMAZING and perfect for Fall. I'll be back to try other menu items to go along with more Copper Fire. But not pizza. And not dessert. Hopefully there are some other dishes we can find and like. read more

If this has a minus I would rate it a minus 10 the supervisor Tracy is the most unprofessional person ever my server was really slow and just chatting with people so my drinks were on the bar for ever so I kindly walked over and asked if I can just grab my drinks and the supervisor was bothered by it and just walked in front of our table and gave me a big dirty look like she wanted us out. This was the most uncomfortable experience ever. The night was slow it was not packed so for the server to take long and the supervisor to be acting like that was bad. Decided to drop by this place because walking outside I hear live band music. I could not pass that up so decided to walk in with a quick bite dinner. Started off with 2 local beer flavors (tastes great!) one was more fruity flavor compared to the other. Also order some chicken wings (saltier than expected) did not like it that much. Then ordered some steak, fries and Mac cheese on the side. It starts to get crowded around 7pm, with people coming in for the live music. Ambiance was lively and fun. Had a great night tonight at Copper Blues! Really cool vibes all around. Want to give props to the manager Craig. GREAT host! You can tell he takes great pride in the restaurant. Very welcoming, nice, charming, and attentive to our needs. someone offered our dog a box of water. Super cool. Betsy was our watress and she did a great job! Very friendly and nice as well. We had a hard time reading the menues, we asked her what they said lol. She had to pull her phone out and use her flashlight and as the that she agreed they were hard to read. Some of the print has been warn off too bad. Unreadable. So I asked her what she recommended. She suggested the filet mignon street tacos. My date and I both got those. They were the bomb!! Guacamole salsa, very tender and perfectly cooked steak. Comes with beans and rice (I will say both of our plates the beans and rice were cold and the serving size was very small. Definitely not enough beans and rice. But the tacos were good. $15 for 3 tacos and small (very small) serving of rice and beans. Only reason why I can't give 5 stars. But like I said the service and the tacos.... REALLY good. Craig was telling us about all the cool nights of the week they have there. Live bands, karaoke, Mariachi Buffet... I Went to Levity comedy club in Oxnard last night and had a really nice time. When I came out of the show I heard a really good band and love live music so went into their bar area which is attached to Levity. (BTW...we could also hear the music anytime the wait staff opened the door to the comedy club). The children behind the bar had bad attitudes and didn't know how to smile nor greet their guests. I ordered drinks for my guest and we went to watch the really talented band which is what lured us in there after the Levity Comedy show. One of my guests went to the bar to get a second cocktail (because no waitress ever showed up) and this time asked for a double and got the same amount as when it was a single. but for more money of course. So I went to the bar to enquire as to why...and the young boy behind the bar with his baseball hat on backwards (classy) poured our drink into a shot glass and showed me it was 2 oz. I tried to tell him I knew that but my point was THAT is what a single is and what the first drink was and this one is supposed to be a double. He just continued to argue with me...didn't understand the point...and I ended up walking away and looking silly to one of my clients. I will NEVER go back there again. Who is the manager?? TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CLIENT RETENTION SKILLS!! Its service101!! There are so many better places in the area to go. The Yardhouse is Waaaaay better. Wow! Copper Blues was a choice made with a group of friends after supporting a local event in Camarillo. We were all tired, sweaty & hungry from our walk, so a nice lunch at a new spot sounded great. The inside is very high impact with an open air feel due to the windows & doors being open. There are cool copper pipes running along the ceiling & there is a cool brick wall with graffiti type art. All in all, Copper Blues has a cool vibe & a beautiful looking bar. My boyfriend ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, which was fairly large. Although some may share it as an appetizer it can be eaten as an entree. It was good, but not outstanding. I ordered the a chicken sandwich which sounded skittle interesting & different. It was good, but I had ordered a salad instead of the kettle chips & still, they gave me chips. I never received the salad & we were charge for the salad. My cousin ordered a wrap, which was a decent size. According to her it was good, but it wasn't amazing. My other friend ordered the lamb balls, which she loved. They were in a great presentation! My sister ordered the portobello mushroom pizza, which another friend ordered. My friend's pizza came out first, even though my sister ordered hers first. Our friend's was bigger. My sister received hers last & it was substantially smaller. The kettle chips are crisp, but very bland, unless you order it with the cheesy dipping sauce like my sister did. If you ask for more, they charge $1 for a little dipping container, which isn't expensive, but the chips shouldn't need it if they were seasoned even just a little bit. Texture-wise, the kettle chips were amazing, they just need to go up a notch in flavor town. Copper Blues' food is 3 1/2 stars out of 5. The price is 3 out of 5 stars. The service is 3 out of 5 stars. The location & decor is 5 out of 5 stars. The food is just a tad bit more expensive considering the culinary experience. It's not something I'd rave about. If I ever come here, it would be more for the ambiance & drinks with friends. It wouldn't be my first choice. They are still fairly new, so I'm very optimistic that they'll make adjustments to make this place successful on its own, independently of Levity Live, the comedy venue they share the space with. Regardless of my opinion, I think everyone should check it out & decide for themselves. read more

This place is a bar and closes at 12am, compared to other bars closing at 2am, plus, it's 5 dollar entry, and on top of that, we weren't allowed to sit outside near the fire as it was reserved and didn't know it was until security told us, security also told us they didn't know either. So no notice on that before i paid 5 bucks for each of my friends, and also can't have drinks on the floor? Had a supervisor come up to me really fast. Place is super lame. I used to have an apartment in the collection and went to Copper all of the time. The service was great and I loved the apps. I would go at least once a week. I had t been in a few months and it has gone completely down hill. They only serve $5 bottled water which is illegal according to California state law. We ordered fish n chips but they don't carry tarter or cocktail sauce. Tacos but they didn't have salsa or any hot sauce but Tabasco. Pizza was soggy, couldn't even fix it in the broiler when we got home. Server went on break without telling us so it took us as long to cash out as the entire time we spent there. read more

First of all the location and decor are amazing. I love the vibe in there. It was self-seating so I picked a spot that worked for my friends and me. The food was good, I ordered the carne asada fries and Under the Mango tree at the suggestion of my server, Mags. Both were soooo good! Speaking of good, Mags was so much fun to have as our server. When we ask for a menu or service they tell us to scan the bar code...this white circle is the bar code, the one at the table next to us is scuffed up and the other table across from us worked but no menu came up. It said Haily was going to serve us...she never came, my husband goes back to the bar for the 3rd time and again they tell him to scan the bar code, we told him it's damaged so they bring us a paper menu. The waitress that gave us the menu, never came back and so he went back to the bar again to see if we could order. They said again to scan the bar code, he explained the issue and tried to order from the menu and they say the menu is wrong.. we gave up and left, if you're going to come here..don't come hungry or thirsty! Stopped here on Sunday for brunch. The restaurant is very open and airy with greenery and unique decor. We sat outside, they even had live music for brunch. We started with a build your own bloody mary bar- it was great! There were a lot of spices and hot sauce options as well as sides to add to your drink. There is also a bottomless option if you choose to utilize the build your own bar. We mixed it up with some brunch items and some regular menu items (both menus were available, you just had to ask). We had the spinach artichoke dip and had the french toast, breakfast burrito and veggie bowl with shrimp as our appetizers. The veggie bowl was light and filling- I really enjoyed it. Have been here multiple times; brunch, dinner, night time for party hardy. Breakdown: brunch: Menu is limited but still offers good items. My friend order the fried PBJ sammich and I wasn't impressed. It was deep fried but tasted super greasy. I hardly tasted the peanut butter or jam. She said it used to be stuffed with Nutella and I'm sure that would have made a difference as hey now stuff it with bacon. Maybe they haven't changed the fryer grease in a while. Bottomless mimosas for 15 and bloodys for 20. Our waiter was great with the refills and the bloody bar offers an array of toppings/spices. I order off the brunch menu; veggie bowl and added fried egg and avocado...slamming! Dinner: Pretty much same hung minus the bottomless drinks. Everything I've ordered I have always liked, although I'm usually doing a salad or something vegetarian. Night: The only thing I dislike about this place at night (typically fridays and saturdays) is the live music goes all night instead of having a DJ play. Ilana Glazer brought me here! We got here way early for our show and decided to sit at the bar and drink. The hostess informed us to grab a seat wherever and that someone would come over. Well about 20mins go by and nothing! I then got up and walked over to the bar to just grab us drinks myself. The bartender was too busy on his phone to notice me and waited about 5mins but then someone FINALLY came to our table. However, once we got into the theater the service was excellent!!! We were immediately greeted and our waitress placed our food and drink order. The drinks came out right away, as soon as the waitress walked away. It was impressive! The food was food! Buffalo Cauliflower had a kick but very good, tasted fresh! The Spinach Dip was delicious too. The Grilled Chicken Quesadilla was good too but I thought it was a little overpriced. I literally waited 30 minutes, made eye contact with a bartender to get him to tell me "I'll be right with you" across the bar and to never return.
