It boggles my mind how stupid some people can be about GOOD business. Example: Me: Ask for a Growler of beer Server: Let me ask if we can do that one Me: Ok great but if not I'll just BUY 4 glasses of it at normal price but pour it into the growler instead of the glasses. Server: They told me they wouldn't do it. Then said I can pour them from the glasses into it myself but due to the way the pour the glasses if I do that it will go flat. Me: Are you kidding?!?! The only good part about this was our actual server but the rest of them such as the bartender, what seems to be the manager (that was a joke) are simply worthless. I had planned on also buy some swag items but Badger State Brewing ended up with that cash. read more

The food was ok. The beer was good. At 930 pm on a Friday the bathroom was closed for cleaning and the chairs were being put up on the tables in the bar area as people were leaving their tables. Made us feel like we needed to rush and hurry up to finish our meals because as the waitress said 'they were closing soon.' We ordered our dinner at 820 and our food came out at 920. All the tables around us had the chairs put upside down on the tables 'so they could clean the floors well at closing time.' Weird. Not a place I'd come back to. I get that you need to clean, but it made us feel like we needed to hurry up and leave. Maybe wait until you actually close to put chairs up and close your bathrooms for cleaning. read more

This is a go to spot for me; the food is always phenomenal. Highly recommend the Thai Brussel Sprouts and the Pretzel. Anything off the menu is delicious. Their beers are wonderful and the coffee bar is great. Honestly you can't go wrong here. Their outdoor seating is quite nice and comfortable, and the inside is cozy and nicely done. Bar is stocked with a large variety of liquor and wines in addition to their taps. Staff and owners are always a delight as well. read more

Stopped in here passing through, Erich happened to be their 4th anniversary. We got a flight of six beers. All of em were great. Merch game was a solid A- Guess if I had a gripe is their tacker signs were TOO big to fit into a suitcase to take home haha. And they don't ship (yep I checked). Outside seating. Waited over an hour for our food and our server only came up to us a few times to ask us how we were doing. My sandwich was incredibly dry and straight up tasted only of pepper. The sandwich was smaller than my hand and took six bites to finish. I will never return it was a terrible experience. Don't come unless you are super into craft beers read more

First time visit and was not disappointed! Friday night for beer(s), dinner, and dessert. Every box was checked; the only minor hiccup was the coffee after our dessert wasn't very hot. Beautiful interior in an older building downtown; lots of wood and brick with the newer furnishings (tables, chairs, lighting) to match. Tasteful old-world decor. Bars upstairs and downstairs with a coffee bar downstairs. Classy and relaxed atmosphere without being pretentious or too trendy. Plenty of seating with areas on 2 floors kept the noise down and able to carry on a conversation. Maybe not a place for a quiet, romantic evening for 2 but if you like good food and good beer this is all you need. Nine beer selections: did a flight of 6 (only $12) and wasn't disappointed with any of them. Especially liked the Platinum Coffee Blonde. Food menu was simple but unique with a nice selection of starters, small plates, and large plates. Not a lot of food on the small plates but that's the idea: just enough. My wife and I were able to share a starter, 2 small plates, and an incredible chocolate mousse for dessert. Don't expect to find "the usual" on the menu; you have plenty of options elsewhere if you want a typical burger or wings. Food was well-prepared, delicious, and beautifully presented. This review is specifically for the coffee, the atmosphere, and the service, as I was working when I visited and couldn't partake in the beer flights, which I'm told are terrific. That said, terrific seems to be a theme with this place. The first thing you'll notice when you arrive is that parking is fee, easy, and plentiful. On the way in, you'll walk through a really nice outdoor patio with seating for, I'd say, 50 people or less. Keep in mind, this is Green Bay, so an outdoor patio is only useful for 6-7 months out of the year. That's where Copper State's beautiful cafe and bar room come in to play. The space is huge and offers something for everyone. A top of the line barista bar sits just inside the front door and that bar is staffed by friendly and talented baristas that can make any drink you've ever heard of, and they'll make it a lot better than, say, Starbucks or Caribou. The other side of the building has the beer bar. It looks great and is, presumably, the liveliest part of the whole place. If that level of activity is too much for you, there are pockets throughout where you can escape, sit, and read a book with your super fancy delicious coffee. read more

Great location- near the river, across from a couple of hotels. The beer selection is incredible- nice to get a flight of beers that are all dark! The service was excellent. We were allowed to sit upstairs away from other diners. We thoroughly enjoyed the Spinach salad, flled with walnuts, blue cheese and fruits!! The burgers were flavorful, the toppings incredible and the side of mac n cheese perfect- not too rich!! So happy to have discovered this gem in Green Bay Wisconsin- highly encourage a meal here! I've lived in Philly, Grand Rapids, Vegas and Portland before moving here. I've also experienced many breweries around the country and some outside too. After moving to Green Bay a couple years ago, I decided to give this place a shot. It was busy, so we decide to go upstairs to drink. My girlfriend and I wanted to sample a couple beers each before ordering, so I asked the lady with the septum piercing if she could help us with those. She said the rule was that they don't allow more than 2 samples per group. I have never in my life come across any such "rule" at any brewery that I've been to. As we didn't like the samples, we ended up ordering a Bloody Mary and a drink of whiskey instead. I requested if I could get my drink on the rocks. I did get it on the rocks and got charged $3 for the ice. The ice tasted pretty much like the ice I make at home, and wasn't worth $3. I'm sure the place has beer worth trying, but my experience there has helped me conclude that I'm never going back there again. The prices are worth 5 stars, but the service is 1 star. I give this place 2 stars because we met some fun people who were visiting Green Bay for the Packers game. This morning, revisiting my last night's experience, I also wish I hadn't left any tip. read more

I went out of my way to drive 1.5 hrs due to great reviews. After a long wait, we were finally seated in a less than preferable spot. But it was OK. When my burger arrived, the bun was BURNT on top and bottom, ( see image!) I was courteous and asked the waiter if I could get a bun toasted correctly, he returned sarcastically with 2 very raw buns. I asked for them to be toasted. Again. And he rolled his eyes saying that is how the kitchen gave them to him, so I asked again... he continued to be passive aggressive, saying no one ever complains..... while he was gone, trying to get toasted buns, I asked for a manager. Which I was told the manager could not come because she was cooking . When the waiter arrived with the buns toasted , we thanked him, despite his continued sarcasm. The burnt bun was not that big of deal. The Incredibly poor and rude service was off the charts. I have never been treated so poorly. Better places to go. One right across the street. read more

Everything was great. Food, service, atmosphere. Recommend the Cheese Curds and Truffle Shuffle burger as well as the brussels sprouts.

Atmosphere: Multilevel establishment. There is a great outdoor seating section to hang out during summer and fall months. Very clean interior and nice layout. Host/hostess station is right when you walk in. Bar downstairs and upstairs. There was some construction going on when we were there I think, because it was very loud and hard to hold a conversation. Service: Very friendly server. Knew the menu well and had recommendations. Drinks, apps, and entrees were so fast, we were in and out in less than 40 minutes at 5:30 p.m. on a Friday. The whole experience felt like it was done in a blink of an eye. Drinks: I ordered their Bare Brick IPA, very flat and had almost no flavor. My fiance ordered the One Cent Wheat, again it fell flat in flavor. I don't think I would come back here to grab beers with friends. I'd rather go over to Titletown across the street. They did have a nice scotch/whiskey selection, if you can afford it. Food: I noticed other tables were given bread baskets, I'm wondering since we ordered only a sandwich and salad/small plate we weren't given one? It looked good from where I was sitting. I think if you are spending over $50 on dinner you probably should get a bread basket. The caprese salad was on point. The shrimp and grits small plate I ordered was very good, I think a little less chorizo and a bit more shrimp would have made it great. My fiance ordered the Rugged North Burger, medium, with the beer cheese mac as his side. The burger was on the very raw side of medium rare (I know because I order my burgers medium rare). I know he could have sent it back, but by then I'd be finished with my meal which ruins the vibe. I took a bite to see what he was disappointed about, and I see where he was coming from. The bun wasn't toasted very well and it kind of just was a mushy mess two bites in. The bacon had zero crisp. He left over half of it on his plate. The beer mac n cheese had good flavor, but not good texture. It tasted like it had been nuked was mushy minus the panko breadcrumbs on top. I'd consider coming here again for apps with friends or lunch. read more

I stopped in for a light bite to eat. I was directed upstairs to the bar if I wanted a quiet place to eat and it relatively was. I was disappointed that they did not have any iced tea but the seltzer was crisp and fresh tasting. I ordered the soup of the day and a grilled salad. The soup came out in a small bowl but was very pleasant to look at and was very tasty. I'm not real sure what it was other than a root cream based soup. The star of the show was the grilled salad though. It came with bacon bits, cheddar cheese, small tomatoes and a beer mustard dressing that was just right. It was delicious even without the corn bread croutons which I am not supposed to have and didn't miss The place is a charming old building that has modern and comfortable touches. Stopped in for food on a Friday night. It was a last minute stop and they actually were still able to seat us quickly. I really like the variety of their menu. Even picky eaters can find something to try. I ordered what I would consider their classic type burger. I always search far and wide for a good classic. Lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and with some cheese is what I consider classic. First things first they cooked my burger medium just like I asked thumbs up for that. The toppings to meat to bread ratio was perfection. The thing that really set this up as one of my all time favorite burgers was the toasted bun. It was served with a light and refreshing side salad and cute little pickles. I will be back for this burger! Whenever I visit Green Bay for work or with my family I always have at least one meal at Copper State. Lately when traveling for work I go to copper state and sit at the bar. Everyone is incredibly friendly and the bartender is busy, but I always feel taken care of. The beers are great and they offer suggestions if you're at a loss for what to get. Last night I got the Ruddy Amber and the Oktoberfest - but very good, and a French dip with the beer Mac and cheese. It was excellent. They were busy but even so, I was taken care of. When we finally received notification that our table was ready our server asked us how long we waited because she had empty tables and told them to seat whoever came in. Not cool. We promptly order and the food takes forever, the appetizer came out with the food an hour later, they weren't even busy. The service was alright; the menu was NOT child friendly (No kids menu) The Reuben that I order was nothing I would go out of my way to get again. Flavors were good on everything just little things to finish your product that would make the great. The Cuban mojo pork tacos were Juicy and flavorful; however the single corn tortilla they came in could not hold up to the moisture. Excellent choice. Great building/interior. I am pretty much a snob when it comes to a place like this -- I've been around the block when it comes to brewpubs and microbreweries, and they exceeded my expectations and they nailed it with their food and their beer. Beer: The Kolsch is crisp as it should be, and their Bare Brick IPA was decent and not obnoxiously over hopped. Food: Deviled eggs: yes please. Carnitas Tacos: delicious and not commercial shell Mac and Cheese: amazing. Bartender said only open for about 2 months -- hard to believe because of the consistency. I stopped in on a drive up the state for some drinks and a quick bite to eat, and this place seemed great, as it had its own coffee company indoors, and food as well as craft drinks. When I got there, I headed straight for the coffee, but was bummed to see it closed about 20 minutes before I got there. However, a worker noticed this and actually came over and started getting me a drink with their cold brew! How awesome! They basically stayed open late for me to get a drink! And the coffee was great, and pretty well priced as well! Great service. I then ordered food, and was rather bummed that the Thailandia, a peanut curry pizza, was sold out. However, ten minutes or so later, the worker sought me out specifically to tell me that it was still available! How great. I ordered it, and was delighted by its comforting flavors. It was very tasty, the peanut sauce with the spring onions, garlic, cheese, and wood fired crust all paired beautifully, and again were not overly pricy. Lovely. The service here was fantastic, and the food was great, not to mention the epic outdoor patio where you could purchase alcohol, this place was great. It was my first time here, and the process was a little confusing. Wait to be seated? Just take a seat? Who knows? Eventually we figured it out, however, I was surprised to find there really were no servers, you go inside and order, and hope to not lose your outdoor seat.
