I would tell you how the food was but my our food never arrived. I was with my 8 yr old son and I ordered the soup and sandwich combo; he ordered the kids' lunch: ham sandwich, fruit and juice 30 minutes for a cup of soup and a half a sandwich? Never mind that we asked both a manager and a 2 servers at 3 different times and still nothing. At 30 minutes, I decided to cancel my order. The only thing we got timely were our drinks...and that's because WE got those ourselves. The only highlight was that the cashier provided us with two samples of soup (roasted poblano corn chowder and zesty tortilla soup). Both samples were pretty bland, almost flavorless-think of chicken broth with a dash of pepper and cumin. Actually, chicken broth has more flavor. Update: I filled out one of their surveys (the one on the receipt) AND went to their corporate website to let them know about my experience and I STILL have not heard from them. read more

Like the kind you buy in that box that is all pre-cooked and all you have to do is heat. Ok, well on top of that, either it was baked off earlier and tossed on the bagel or microwaved on the spot, but mine had a lovely chunk of wax paper still attached. I am going to have to go with a "no thanks" on this. On top of that, the whole thing was cold (you will find this is a common theme throughout this review). The croissant was never heated, just sliced and served. The rest of the sandwich was cold as well. Cinnamon Roll ($2.79) -------------------------------- Cold? COLD?! ARE YOU SERIOUS? This was never heated, just pulled off the shelf and served. I may be crazy, but I think cinnamon rolls are to be served warm, ALWAYS! If I make cinnamon rolls at home, heat 'em up. Anywhere else I have ever gotten cinnamon rolls, they heat 'em up! Corner bakery, lazy. Kid Scrambler ($3.99) ------------------------------- Good amount of food here for the price. We usually have the issue of trying to get her to not be upset while her food cools (most places we go serve hot food). I guess the bonus to the kids meal is that they can eat it right away because it is stone cold. Everything Bagel w/ Cream Cheese ($0.99 - - $1.40) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Toasted and luke warm, but that is not the glaring issue here. It's the price! I would not flinch at $1.40 for a bagel, but $1.40 for 1 TBspn of cream cheese? Is this some kind of a joke? To me, this is an exorbitant price for something that should come standard with a bagel, STANDARD. I would like to offer the advice of charging $2.50 for the everything bagel and not breaking out where you are deriving the amount, at least then customers won't feel robbed if they look at their receipt. BOTTOM LINE --------------------- I think Corner Bakery came first, but go to Panera now. This store wishes it could be what Panera Bread is. All I found inside was lackluster baked goods, lazy cooking practices, cold food and robbery prices. You work hard for your money, spend it somewhere else. read more

I've been here twice and have gotten the Pick Two both times, and I have to say it's definitely the best option. At just $9 with the option to get a half size of just about anything on the menu, there are just about limitless options. I've had two different salads, and both have been fresh, crisp, and the toppings have been fresh and tasty as well. The chicken they slice to top the salads with is juicy and tender, and there is always just the right amount dressing given to you. You also can't go wrong with one of their soups. The Cheddar Broccoli was the best of it's kind, and the Loaded Baked Potato has fresh chives and delicious sharp cheddar sprinkled on top. Are the sandwiches decent? Yeah, sure. Are they great? No. Corner Bakery is a chain and as such they produce a product that is what one expects from a chain. The sandwiches are good but lacking in flavor. The meats are just factory produced loaves of uninspired product. The meats are no different then what you get from all the other big sandwich making chains. The, there are the soups. Again, decent but obviously made in some enormous factory somewhere. I had the spicy coconut soup and enjpyed it but their chicken noodle was marginally better then canned soup. Where this chain does excel are their baked goods because I believe they make them in house or at the very least bake them in house. I have liked all their baked goods. For me the bottom line is getting what you pay for and I just don't feel I am getting a premium sandwich for the premium price I am paying. read more

We've eaten here before and had a hair in our food. At the time the Manager was very professional and refunded us our entire meal plus remade all of our food so that one of us wasn't eating alone. Today I came in and sat at a table with a clear view of the kitchen (this was unintentional). After sending my order back for a second time, because they didn't bring what I purchased, I noticed the two cashiers standing in the kitchen eating full meals. I didn't really think that they should be doing that but I figured they may not have gotten a break. Then one of the cashiers goes and gets cheese without washing his hands. I thought it was pretty disgusting that he was using his hands to grab cheese considering he was handling the money. It then dawned on me that the reason we had hair in our food the very first time we visited was because none of the employees are wearing hair nets. My go to here is the Anaheim scrambler, a scrambled egg bowl mixed with bacon, tomatoes, scallions and topped with avocado served with a side or potatoes or fresh fruit. As you probably also assume from the name they serve a treasure trove of fresh make treats including cinnamon buns, cookies, bundt cakes and fresh bread. Everything is usually great here and the staff is always friendly especially first thing in the morning. Young girls with thick-rimmed glasses and tattoos giving me "we're almost closed" attitude is a huge turn off. I realize you have to get home and cram for a psych final - but you do have a job to do. They took our order, and then starting talking loudly about how bad they had to get out on time while they were cleaning. We ate fast to get out of there. The food was, as it is CLEARLY described on Yelp, plain. We had breakfast in Dallas, which was good. When we went up to get refills - they already dumped the tea out (?) and took the nozzles off the soda fountain. I figured this out by pressing the lever and the coke shooting all over my shirt. I had bookmarked this place for a while and this morning was finally our opportunity to try it. My fruit was translucent, sign that it has been sitting for longer than a day. The eggs and overall dish was nothing that will bring me back. 8:45 am, it's no reason why our food should be this bad. I ordered pancakes and bacon. My bacon tasted as if it was re-warmed stale and my pancakes were under cooked. My co-worker has a breakfast platter that included bacon, scramble eggs and potatoes. Her bacon was warm and greasy. Her eggs were watered down or powdered. The only thing hot and fresh was her potatoes. So sad so mad because I was the one that recommended we ate here this morning. But Won't happen again!
