I ordered the chicken, cheese, and ham sandwich. The taste of the bread and sandwich was excellent. You order at a counter and they deliver your food, although sometimes they don't know exactly who in your party ordered the food. My colleague received the completely wrong order and it was remade for her. Otherwise, mine was fine although the prices are a bit high at over $9-12 for a sandwich. There's plenty of dessert options. Open seating with 4-person or more tables. Note that tables cannot be moved as they are attached to the ground. read more

First time trying the pastries at Kneaders. The cinnamon roll was a disappointment. Maybe they have a new baker but it looked nothing like the cinnamon roll reviewed 6 months ago by Raven R. I pointed out that it was lacking icing when I purchased it. The cinnamon roll is not gooey, buttery or filled with enough cinnamon. I've frequented this place quite often to say that it has been a favorite of mine. This time I went solo and ordered the chicken pesto sandwich; I changed the bread to Asiago cheese (grilled), well when I lifted the half sandwich to my mouth the "pieces" of chicken fell out of the sandwich onto my plate. I should have taken a photo. I opened the other half of the sandwich and saw there was just one "slab" of chicken. Very disappointed in trying to eat this sandwich.., I felt like the cheese was melted on the sandwich and then the chicken was thrown in. Truly the "chef" did not take pride in this sandwich because the way it was presented. No trace of clam in the clam chowder. Basically potatoe soup with maybe an eyedrop of clam juice. Crack chicken sandwich was soggy.

The food was fine and cinnamon roll great but the decor is dated and the coffee is terrible. I am guessing since the mormons dont drink java joe they cant make it either. Went here today for the first time and it will be the last time! Food is 100% overly priced for the amount you get in comparison to what you pay. I got the chicken pesto sandwich that hardly had any chicken! For the sandwich & a cup of soup I paid $18. It took 25 minutes to get our food. My friend has been talking about this place for a good week by now so finally we came to have lunch & the walk way to get the register was really cute! They had little things you could buy and on the side they also have aprons! On the other side there is tons of bread and baked goods! Everything was so tempting to get. I order a cheese, egg and bacon croissant for $6.99 & my daughter for a kids meal that was a ham and cheese sandwich, chocolate milk, apple sauce and a cookie for $6.99. One of my favorite spots in Stone Oak. My usual is the Thai Salad with Chicken (not pictured) but this time I decided to get a BLT and a soup. So delicious. The bread is to die for. I will come here again and again until I try every item on the menu!! Not only is the food incredible, the staff is always so nice and friendly. I came upon Kneaders a while back, during my endless search for an excellent cake and coffee combo place. Somewhere, where both coffee/cake, stand out and can be in enjoyed in the company of like minded individuals. Although, Kneaders is not quite that place, their coffee tends to be always be more on the lukewarm side, they do have a good selection of goey, yummy desserts. During this last visit, they did not disappoint. They had rolls, cakes and a slice or two of pie. I ended up with a caramel cheesecake and a small personal sized carrot cake. Got them to go, which was a quick and easy process. As for Covid safety, the place was clean, not many people and service was quick. They also have curbside for those who prefer. I visited Kneaders yesterday at 8:11 pm. There were 3 associates working without any sort of procedure, they were lost. A blond guy with curls burned his hand because we were working without precautionary and he licked his hand. After more than 7 minutes of waiting I ordered desserts that were on display and I paid. He did many mistakes on the order and had to call Patricio to fix it. Patricio put in a box some desserts and I thought were the ones I paid. I was waiting for a long and I told the blond guy I need to go. He told me I sorry but we are running out of desserts. They sold the ones I had purchased and this is unacceptable because I had my grandchild 4 yrs old waiting for dessert for 16 minutes. I told I guess the manager and he said I'm sorry that's it. I LOVE chocolate, so the variety of chocolate dessert options brought pure joy to my Saturday evening. I opted to try the chocolate brownie and mint chocolate brownie. Personally, I preferred the regular brownie as the mint chocolate was slightly strong for my liking. Regardless, the brownies were rich and tasty! I was also pleasantly surprised at the home decor options for sale and the discounts available on those items. The food is good, the customer service is outstanding. Truly nice people. I could go into anecdotes but suffice it to say they bend over backwards to make the customer happy, even at the drive through. Their sandwiches are hearty, the soups are comfort food, and then you get to the bakery- I LOVE the raspberry danish and their eclairs are darn good too. And we occasionally buy a full loaf of one of their special breads. Their slices of pie are good too. The sandwich did not have much flavor for me and was very salty. Half of salad was taken up with a large salad core that was covered up with salad. My mom usually caters from them a lot for her work and we would get all the leftovers () but when COVID hit that stopped so I hadn't had it in a while. I figured I'd treat myself today and try a new sandwich and I'm so glad I did. Their focaccia bread is heavenly and the turkey is delicious. I like this turkey a lot because it doesn't give me that "wet deli meat" vibe and instead it's slow roasted and hand pulled so you know they care a lot about their quality. This sandwich was super flavorful with all the other fix-ins including artichoke hearts, mayo, pesto butter, mozzarella, spinach, tomatoes, and red onions. My tuna salad was very delicious as was his sandwich overall. His croissant was out of this world! My soup was OK, not something I would normally order and his cheddar broccoli was very tasty. I've noticed that this location is always very clean and has a pretty aesthetic on the inside. A very large party were in front of us, but our food came out very quickly and just as we ordered. I wish I had taken photos of our food, because everything was so delicious! We stopped in on a Thursday night after a full day of moving to San Antonio. My husband and I were exhausted, but wanted something healthy and filling, so we hopped onto Yelp and found Kneaders! We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and were warmly greeted by Craig, one of the managers. He was so patient with us as we perused the menu since it was our first time here, and even suggested many menu items that all ended up being yummy! It could be the lids on all the soup pots were open and some tilted (I assume nearly empty). The sandwich was a complete disappointment. There was one single slice of roast beef in it. A thin one. There was more of every other element in that sandwich (tomato, onion, even mayo) then there was meat. I'm a sandwich person and Kneaders sounded like a good place to try. I was wrong. Arrived at 7:35, walked in and asked for it, only for the receipts to just be taken off the printer at that time in the order start to be made after I was already there. Did not leave until 7:42 AM. During the time I was there four separate cars went through the drive-through and got their orders. What is the purpose of order ahead if it is A- Not ready until more than 20 minutes after the order time, and 10 minutes after the time it was quoted to be ready and B) four separate orders placed at the drive-through are ready immediately after ordering during the time it takes to wait? I have given the Stone Oak location repeat of chances and I'm officially done.
