I found Corner on the Market because I was looking for homemade sourdough. After searching through reviews for somewhere that was open in the evening (after work) I came across Corner on the Market. So I stopped by..on my way home from work... and was delighted to find a good assortment of breads to choose from. The only server I saw was happily moving pizza into their big pizza oven. Then she was quick to help me with other options I might be interested in. While I was tempted to try their scrumptious looking cinnomon rolls I ended up leaving only with my sourdough in hand. Later that evening we enjoyed their sourdough bread with garlic butter and it didn't disappoint. I will definitely be back when I need more sourdough and just might pick up a cinnomon roll or two or three. read more

My favorite thing to purchase here is the amazing fresh made bread. The hard workers here arrive at 4:30 to bake it daily. The baked goods are also wonderful. This is a great local spot to sit down and have a cup of coffee in the morning. read more

Not ONE employee even acknowledged me let alone take a simple bakery to go order. As I was waiting, I see they have an UNCOVERED half empty pan of what looked like bread putting at the register. Not refrigerated, just sitting there longer than me. LOL, Then I see a small note stating 2.5% credit card fee. Come on!!!! This is a cost of doing business. This is two separate establishments sharing a space. The Hatch Chill side has a menu including hot dishes, pastries,breads and products to go. The owner was friendly and accommodating the hatch chili is a creature of its own. Had a breakfast burrito big and tasty, coffee drip for me tasty but placed in a paper cup not mug. A bit too loud radio background. Seating more for bigger parties, tried a scone needs to be worked on. But will come back again. read more

The burritos are ~15/each but massive and packed with flavor. The cinnamon rolls had a nice texture and were not overly sweet but we would have preferred more cinnamon flavor. My friend and I wanted to get a quick little brunch while her son was at soccer practice. We decided to check this little spot out. It offered breakfast burritos, sandwiches, yummy toasts, and pizza. I am so glad we decided to try it! We tried the green chili toast which was delicious!! It reminded me of a Croque Monsieur/Madame but with queso instead of bechemel and bacon instead of ham and roasted hatch green chili to make it even more interesting! I added avocado. I would definitely be back. The place was very cool. It is like 3 spots all in one. Attached is Suss Bakery and Hatch It which makes green chili items, burgers and tacos. They sell artisan loaves of bread along with other baked items--and they had all kinds of canned and bottled beverages--like a bodega offers. There was also a man outside roasting and tumbling hatch chilis that you can buy by the pound. The service was great too! I can't recommend this cute little place enough! What a neat local find!! Wonderful freshly baked breads, pastries, bagels, sandwiches, salads and pizza! Connected to Hatch-It Chili next door and it appears that the green chili on the breakfast sandwich I ordered came from Hatch-It! Breakfast sandwich with house made sausage, egg, green Chile and mustard was basically 2 meals' worth of food! And SO delicious. Definitely ordering that on repeat. Also had their mixed green salad, which was big enough to share with hubby. Speaking of hubby, he ordered the BLAT (BLT w/avocado) and even thought he meant to take half of it home, he ended up eating the entire thing. He also got a chocolate chip hibiscus cookie, which he said was really tasty too. Staff was very sweet and attentive. The lady who brought out my sandwich mentioned that the sausage is house made, delicious and pink--it is fully cooked, it's just not brown, like most sausage patties we may encounter. I'm not sure I would have noticed, b/c I only paid attention to how well all the flavors worked together! It's very low key and relaxed in Corner on the Market. This place is amazing!! They have coffee, pastries, sandwiches, salads etc.. they have it all. It's also attached to Hatch Green chili! We got an iced latte, chicken salad sandwich and a pistachio muffin. Oh and some fresh baked treats for the pups! The latte was made perfect. No butter taste and perfectly sweet. The pistachio muffin was big, fluffy and full of flavor. We really enjoyed it with the coffee. Now, the chicken salad sandwich was the star for me! If you know my reviews you know I love a good Sammie. The chicken salad had green chilies in it which I've never had and I'm mad that I've been robbed of such a delight. I got it on the cranberry walnut bread and it was heaven. The customer service was quick and friendly and the food and coffee was amazing. I found "Corner On The Market" by accident, while waiting for a friend next door at "Green Chilies" for lunch. They actually share a common doorway. Being an amateur baker, I could tell immediately something special was going on. The fragrances were overwhelming sweet and made made me salivate. Looking at the markings on their bread told me a lot (see photo) too. It was then that I saw the sheets of their freshly made Bread Pudding. Wow. I knew right away that some of those breads and desserts would be joining me on my ride home. The other thing that makes the Corner On The Market special, is Cathy the store owner. She walks around and greets her patrons and making everyone feel welcome. Nice! read more

We were at the uptown farmers market and found this great place! I wish I had taken photos of our food. We both had the breakfast plate. It is fabulous, homestyle cooking! They make their own sourdough bread and sausage patties! I overheard they use past-down family recipes. We hope to get back for lunch soon to try the Hatch chili stew. I couldn't leave without trying something from their bakery. I had a lemon-lavender cookie. I loved the cookie, great flavor, and wasn't overly sweet. 5 stars! read more

2nd time here...Truth, I had a dream & woke up with a need to serve others via the simple things (breaking bread) . Those of you that have strong faith will understand when the Holy Spirit talks, you listen or you miss out on blessings that you never realized were there for you or your loved ones. So I drove from Surprise to Phoenix to get several loaves of bread to share with folks I've never even sat down to break bread with. The plain sourdough is just ridiculously fabulous . The cranberry walnut sourdough, who knew? (not I)... Well it's all about community & family in my heart so ... This was a great start to my morning by giving away something that I love and appreciate made from a fantastic lil spot in Phx.. I included menus & flyers that came from the restaurant so the chosen few could frequent this cool spot on their own and see & taste what brings me joy. The staff was simply perfect noting one young man that worked there celebrate his mom this morning by taking her out early for coffee before he started work.. This place is hands down incredible. The food is top quality. The flavors are all southwest/New Mexico the lady who was there in the early morning is an absolute sweetheart. It's definitely worth a try even to go out of your way. The prices are decent for the quality of the food. Corner on the Market is a wonderful little family eatery, full of amazing home baked goods, delicious entrees, sandwiches and treats. I went here with my son for breakfast. I had the breakfast plate, and it was stellar. The homemade sausage was large, amazingly moist and perfectly spiced. The sourdough toast was perfect. The shredded fried potatoes were both crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The eggs were cooked just right. We both also indulged in scones for our visit. This was a homerun. My blueberry scone was the perfect blend of soft baked, puffy lightness, juicy blueberries and sweet and glorious drizzled icing to accent the monstrous scone. My son had an almond scone which was likewise really delightful. To top it off, we had a chai latte and coffee from their barista. Nice to have custom coffeehouse drinks at a restaurant. Before leaving we bought an extra scone to take home, along with a couple loves of their beautiful whole homemade round loves of bread. Wow. The staff was helpful, kind and very fast. The prices were also very reasonable. The inside of the restaurant reminds me of a market in the south with small market stock to purchase and a delicious restaurant combined. Have eaten here several times but today we got a loaf of fresh baked sourdough bread. Had it with dinner and I can say it is one of the best breads I've had. Love the walnut cranberry bread as well. With the mask mandate LIFTED by our Governor I had no reservations about staff not wearing masks. Any restaurant you go into you remove your mask when you sit down. I trust the health and safety of the employees more than sitting with a bunch of strangers. The review by the health department before and during Covid has been no issues. Small business needs our support more than ever. read more

I asked my friend where he wanted to eat and he suggested this place. I had never been and upon arrival was underwhelmed initially. Then I stepped inside to the most comfortable and quaint setting. The aroma from the wood fired pizza oven was intoxicating. I haven't seen green chili pizza ingredients since visiting Albuquerque so congrats on featuring! The folks taking orders were very friendly. I had an Italian baguette #3 and enjoyed it. Just a bit too heavy on mayo and mustard but the bread was really good. Friend had BLT on levain and it disappeared quickly to his enjoyment. Wine selection on the shelves looked really good with a wide selection (next time). I have not been since it was the french place about 5 years ago. I stopped by today and I am sure glad I did. One side is a cafe with a small bakery, coffee house, and shelves of wine and cheeses and staples. The other side is a New Mexican style, hatch chili, fast food restaurant. Same owners. Oh my! I am not the biggest fan of breakfast foods but man I had the hatch chili toast breakfast plate. Ummmmm, it was totally delish. i took home a Magic Bar, which is this chocolate, coconut, graham cracker chunk of heaven and a bread baguette. Yummy, it is hard to find good bread and baked items here so that was a find. I hear their bagels and pizza are pretty good too so you know I will be back. Oh yeah, and the folks are super nice. I had a delightful conversation with a fellow east coast bread lover. The owner's daughter is amazing. Very disappointing. I live in the neighborhood of this establishment, and have heard a lot about it, but just recently visited for the first time. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich, for my wife and I to split. Awful. It gave my wife significant digestive distress. So spicy, the meat was totally overwhelmed by the heat of the Hatch chiles. I like green chiles, but not when they blot out the taste of the overall meal. I could get around that by ordering something else next time. What struck me was the rudeness of the proprietor(?) toward her employees. I would try again, but I do not trade at establishments where the employees are abused. Stumbled across another hidden gem " The Corner on the Market " a wonderful bakery & deli with the best fresh baked breads, soups, salads and sandwiches. They also gave a coffee bar and pastry counter with a wonderful and unique assortment. You will also find a nice boutique wine selection and the owner shares the space with his sister's Hatch-it Green Chili burgers and tacos next door which we will try on another occasion. My wife enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich on cranberry walnut bread. I had the Hatch green chili meatloaf both were delicious and the bread was crispy good on the outside and soft on the inside yum...So, go give them a look I really like market feel inside do yourself a favor and look them up. read more

I randomly found this place and pulled into the parking with low expectations, was I ever wrong! I walked in and was greeted by a pleasant-sounding woman behind the counter. As others have mentioned, the smell of fresh-baked bread is/was something to enjoy, never mind the food. After staring at the wall menus, I asked this lady what she recommended. She suggested a BLT with Turkey, and I went with it. I am a fast eater, and after my first bite, I intentionally slowed down to enjoy this sandwich. Every bite was amazing. Understanding that this is a hard time for the service industry, I'm trying to be fair in my assessment. They do not require masks. They have a sign on the door but for the past 2 weekends in a row, we've been there while they happily served people not wearing masks. Furthermore, those people were, in both instances, leaning over services areas, including the freshly baked bread on the counter, and generally just not being respectful. The owner wears one of those clear plastic shield masks that do almost nothing. The staff never seems happy, supported or trained. We hoped the no mask service was a one time fluke last weekend and seeing that it wasn't we won't be back.
