This place had amazing sandwiches. My wife and I were craving an Italian sub, luckily we have had friends tell us about this place, and they raved about it. I ordered the Italian sub, and it was very meaty. The bread was soft, the flavors just worked so well. My wife ordered Italian salad, man it was a lot of food. Not sure it was healthy enough to be called a salad, but the taste was amazing! I absolutely love this place for their sandwiches ! Their cortinas special is by far the best Italian sandwich I have ever had . I make it a point to go there once every two weeks to get my fix. They get very busy during lunch rush but their service is spot on and it's an easy place to pick up quality food to go. They use boars head premium meats and fresh baked breads on every sandwich ! I have also been to their anaheim location , which is their store , to buy Italian pastries (cannoli's for christmas dinner) , pastas and meats. Love this place, ALWAYS packed during lunch time, because it is just so delicious!!! The bread is to die for and they put so much meat on your sandwich you can barely fit it in your mouth. Very clean, friendly staff gets everything going in the right direction. Next their menu is full of wonderful options it makes it hard to choose but I have a feeling u can't go wrong no matter what u choose. In less than a month I've had about 5-6 different Sammy's and 2-3 times I've had the grilled chicken Parmesan and I love it. I know I'm in the minority here, but simply put, I don't like Sandwiches... However, one day my co-workers finally convinced me to tag along. I was very surprised! I loved it! The Chicken Italiano, Meatball, Russo, and Philly are my favorites! So much so that Cortina's became our weekly lunch spot. Actually, more like our 2 or sometimes 3 times in one week spot. The food is good but they forgot my order after I had waited a good 35 plus minutes so I went back to the front to ask about my order. Then the cashier yelled my order to the cook! Quite possibly my most favorite place to get sandwiches. Everything is good. My favorite is the All-American. The bread is always fantastic and fresh. The ingredients are superb. If I had to survive on sandwiches for the rest of my life, I would eat here. I wish I could just pick up a packed lunch from here every day on my way to work. For some reason, it's hard to find a good sandwich. I think that's why I love this place so much. All you people that love Subway, this is not for you. Or maybe it is, just don't plan on wanting Subway ever again. It will ruin you. It's not cheap, but it's not expensive. It costs what a sandwich costs. Discovered this place, and literally went there every single day for a week. Pastrami, Italian sandwich, sliced chicken breast- all fantastic and huge. Small is definitely enough for the normal person, I was surely quite full after the larges but they're worth it! I had food from here a few times through my job before they told me it was Cortina's (I finally asked because it was so good). My job got me started then I started coming often on my own before my job relocated to a different city (i come periodically now). I decided to swing by after getting off work early and had the 10" philly cheese steak with a San Pellegrino drink(Pomegranate Orange flavor). All I can say is WOW AMAZING! Food here has always been great, its unbelievable to me that it can be this good. Sure they don't have the best hours and its hard to find parking when you come and there is very limited room to eat but to me the food is so good that it makes all of that a non-issue lol. I lived in the East Bay Area until I was 10, where there was a deli named Genova Delicatessen. This place was the criteria by which I would judge every sandwich shop I visited while I resided in the OC. For the first time in 12 years, something rivaled Genova. Cortina's is a blessing to this area - an ideal lunch spot with an infallible menu. I've gotten sandwiches such as Cortina's Special, Philly Cheesesteak, American Cold Cuts, and even the Chicken Parmigana one. Each was stacked with improbably great ingredients (when a place advertises the use of Boar's Head, you know they care about that sort of thing), incredibly filling, and incredibly priced. My friend pointed out that he got a hot sandwich to go, and by the time he got home the bread was still crisp and not soggy - we are in awe of their secrets. I've also tried some of their pasta selections and was not let down - ravioli and lasagna are rich and in generous portion size for ~8 bucks. The Dream Cookies rocked as well, but unfortunately I never had their canoli (I bet it was amazing). Stop reading, go try it out! read more

Okay, this is seriously one of the best sandwiches that I have ever had! I drove by this place many times not knowing it was a sandwich shop. I finally went here when a couple co-workers recommended it. The seating can be limited if you go during the lunch rush (call ahead order is highly recommended). There are a few outside seats too, but it fills up quick. The staff is always busy, but always friendly. I've never had any issues with the quality or accuracy of my order. I would say that my favorite sandwich is the baked ham with deli mustard. The bread is probably the best part.
