I came in to kill time before a show. Sat at the bar and ordered the cacio e pepe fries and a house white off the HH menu. I also had a Calabrian hound that was tasty I also ordered a small lattuga salad. I wanted to love the place because I have family that highly recommended it- but it was just a miss for me on the flavor front. I had high expectations/excitement for the fries, but they surprisingly just tasted like regular ol' French fries. The plus was the crunch. The salad was an odd mix of veggies- not for my palate. HOWEVER, keep in mind I only did Happy Hour. They'll definitely be getting a follow visit to try the full menu. I had made my reservation online and when they noticed my bday had just passed, they surprised me with a nice little bday dessert as well, which was much appreciated. 3.5 stars. Dropped by for lunch on a Monday afternoon very shortly after they opened and we were the first people in the restaurant. The waiter had a bit of a strange vibe; I couldn't tell if he immediately hated us or liked us, but he was cool and standoffish for the most part. However, I do give him credit for being really nice and bringing over one of every of their complimentary postcards from the front of the house and a matchbook for me when I asked him if the postcards were for sale or if they were free. He didn't have to do that and I thought that was cool of him. The decor is really nice here, definitely has those Instagrammable vibes and is going for the trendy, modern Italian feel. As such, the menu pricing reflects the area and those vibes. While it's not going to break the bank, it's definitely a splurge for lunch and not somewhere I'd come regularly as a result. I ordered the tagliatelle bolognese ($26) and my husband got the mushroom pizza ($25), while we shared the calamari appetizer ($17). The calamari was perfectly fine but a bit basic, and I likely wouldn't get it again unless I came pretty hungry on a second visit. The bolognese had great flavor and the pasta seemed to be fresh, but the bolognese was a bit on the greasy/oily side and the portion was pretty small, especially for that exorbitant price. My husband liked his pizza, but again, it was perfectly fine but slightly forgettable. I can't say that our overall experience justified the price tag. Twenty-six dollars for a bowl of tagliatelle in a basic ragu that any Italian-American learns how to make at home (and is always better than what you get at a restaurant) was nuts to me. It was somehow a dollar more than an entire pizza. And I've had calamari with more complex flavor at other Italian places in the Bay Area. So while nothing was bad and everything was pretty tasty overall, Corzetti isn't a place I'd recommend going out of your way for. I'd say it's worth checking out at least once, but whether you feel it's worth a return visit is going to be up to you. read more

First time here to celebrate a friend's birthday and was very disappointed. The only good part was that the staff was able to move our table to a booth when we requested. At the front stand, the hostess asked if we are celebrating anything. We mentioned it was a birthday and was very disappointed at the end when they said they don't do complimentary desserts or anything. I am not sure what the point of asking "are we celebrating anything" was then. They even cleared the table which made it seem like they were bringing out a birthday surprise. The food itself is mediocre. Our waitress said it was her first day and did not write down our order. We asked if the appetizers could come out before the entrees which she said she could do. Later, she came to tell us there was "miscommunication" with the kitchen and that all the orders will come out at once. Not a big deal, but then she disappeared and did not notify us if there would be a different waiter taking over her place or anything. We were stuck looking around for someone else the rest of the night. I would not really recommend this place; the ambiance alone is unfortunately not enough to bring our group back. read more

It was quiet this Sunday afternoon, so a seat right at the bar top (my favorite spot) was definitely available. For drink, I had the bees knees. A classic cocktail. It was everything I wanted it to be; sweet, strong, and delicious. I grabbed the meatballs as a quick snack, which paired well with my bees knees. I have fully immersed myself in the protein craze, so this were perfect. Saucy, meaty, yummy, and with some crispy bread to dunk in the sauce. Came here for a team dinner and it was great experience! We were requested to order from the pre-fix menu due to a large group 10+ people, and we loved it! Very cute and cozy spot, but also formal and elegant enough for business dinners. I was especially a big fan of the pastas here, amazing flavor that's just right, creamy, and full on umami bomb from the mushrooms. What stood out was the FAZZOLETTI AL PESTO: basil, pine nut, parmigiano and CORZETTI: talegio crema, pancetta, hen of the woods, brown butter, sage. Must try if even you're ordering ala carte. The Cesar salad was CORZETTI CAESAR: gem lettuce, sourdough croutons, parmigiano, anchovy was a must try as well, I especially liked the anchovy - it was quite fresh and flavorful, especially if you like seafood. Our group was really happy about the cocktails overall, I personally really like the whiskey sour like drink. Overall I would consider a full 5 star experience but we did have a hiccup on missing some sides or a pasta plus a final bill miscalculation. Denying a service that is clearly being served, with open availability, is a strange and customer-hostile choice. Date of Visit: 12/8/2025 This is my second visit to Corzetti, the Italian restaurant located about one block away from Union Square. Corzetti was opened back in Summer 2023, and is one of the Adriano Paganini's restaurants. If you have lived in San Francisco for a while, you are mostly likely visited one of Adriano Paganini's restaurants. Including the rooftop bar El Techo, and Hayes Valley's a Mano. Currently Corzetti is offering Christmas's afternoon tea in December, and it is open for reservation every day from 11:30am - 3pm. Once we were sat at our table, we were offered Lambrusco or Sparkling wine. I got the Lambrusco from Cantina di S. Croce winery in Northern Italy, and my friend got the non-alcoholic cocktail. And we can also select one pot of tea. I got the Paris with fruity flavor and my friend got the Earl Grey. The three layers of afternoon was soon served to our table. On the top layer it was petite sweets, with mini tiramisu cups, almond & Pistachio biscotti, Penettone bread pudding and Amaretto Panna Cotta. The middle layer is the savory snacks, with Crostini con burrata, Prosciutto di parma, and also Caviar bruschetta. The bottom layer is the warm bites, with warm rosemary focaccia, Sicilian arancini, veal-parm meatballs, and marinated Castelvetrano olives. read more

This Italian spot wins you over with its adorable decor, vintage Italian postcards with the restaurants name on it, warm lighting, and the right amount of a modern look without being too overdone. Our experience with the service told two stories. We were seated and promptly someone came by with menus arriving quickly. Then the theater crowd came in, and everything went to a halt. As for the food, it landed in the "fine" territory. The beef ragu over pasta was competently made, the meat was tender and the sauce had a mild depth of flavor, though it needed salt or some parmesan cheese. More surprising was the fried chicken and greens on an Italian menu. The execution was good enough. Neither dish was bad, just forgettable. The restaurant has the bones to be really special, but the service bottlenecks when the crowds come in from the nearby theater. We made a reservation for Valentines Day recently. We called and asked if they were serving in the limited VD menu or their whole menu. They told us the whole menu would be available. Great. We arrived a few minutes early and were met by a grouchy hostess who seemed annoyed by our presence, didn't smile or welcome us. Not a good start. We were told to wait so we sat down and were seated a short time later. Then we found out ONLY the small Valentine's Day menu was available. Quite small with a few questionable items. BEET ravioli? Surely it's only red colored right?. Nope. Stuffed with beets. Uh, no. We ordered the Calamari. The meatball appetizer. A steak and a salad. No drinks because we were getting a bad vibe already. The steak came out first(?) and it was only decent. 7/10 The meatballs were next and pretty good. 8/10 Then the calamari with shrimp and onions.(?) No mention of this on the menu.. Then finally the salad which was rather sad and came with potatoes?. Another first for us.. All in all, a lackluster meal that was neither memorable nor particularly good. I stopped in for a late team lunch. The restaurant was almost entirely empty on a Thursday at 1pm. Service was slower than expected because there was only 1 server on the floor and was having to multitask between other prep work and serving us. However, we reserved around 2 hours for lunch so it didn't bother us much but something to keep in mind. Now let's get down to business - the food was fantastic. I had the Onion Focaccia, the bolognese pasta and a side salad. Although the food was delicious, I thought that the side salad was rather small as it disappeared with only a few bites. The pasta, on the other hand, was plentiful with rich beef and perfectly chewy noodles. The focaccia was also fantastic. Served hot with a mushroom / olive spread. If you want to do happy hour you either have to sit in the cocktail area or at the bar we ordered mostly from the happy hour menu. We ordered the Vessalico pizzeta that is a mini version because it's for happy hour, the marinated olives that came out very warm and delicious, the calamari fritti (small portion), polpette Della nonna which were delicious meatballs, a couple olive leaf martinis and a espresso martini as well as the fazzoleti Al pesto pasta from the regular dinner menu. Everything was absolutely delicious freshly made, and at the correct room temperature. I loved the small portions, which meant that you are able to try more options. The ambiance is nice and the decor is vibrant, it feels like a hip spot. The prices seemed pretty high for what it was, but it is the city in a pretty touristy area, so I wasn't surprised. Where they fell down was the service. It felt like our server totally forgot about us and left us for a really long time not asking if we wanted anything or even coming to take our check. It was SUEPER busy because of santa-con so things were a bit slow coming out but we were told there were som eissues with the payment devices etc so it was not in their control. Very cute space and a fun twist on a tea spread. I was slightly disappointed because I had wrote in my reservation one person was a vegetarian, and I even messaged on instagram to ask if there was any accommodation for vegetarians with no response. On the day of I asked the server if they could remove the fish eegs form one of the toasts and she said they couldnt do modifications.... So I misssed out on a few bites! The desserts for me were the absoloule highlight - it was so fun to try a few different types. The best was the biscoti and the little fruit bread with cream. Vibrant colors, geometric architectural lines, unique artwork, and chic vibes transport diners to the Italian riviera. There is a stand that has cute Italian riviera-themed postcards located by their entrance which you can take for free. It makes a perfect souvenir or home decor. The food and drinks never seem to fail us. I've been here three times and the quality and service is consistently amazing. Corzetti stands out as one of the better options in the downtown area. Service was incredibly friendly - we were given water refills quickly and without asking, and our waiter stuck around to check on our meals and drinks. We also made a couple of accommodates and the staff was really nice to help us out by placing some ingredients on the side! Everything tasted fresh and yummy but funnily enough I liked the salad more than the pasta even though the pasta was still good. This is a great place for a casual meal or a date or something. After long travels from UT to see Sam Smith at the Castro Theater, we walked over to Corzetti from Hotel G where we're staying, for a bite to eat. Despite not having a reservation, we were greeted warmly and seated in a cozy corner area. Our waiter extraordinaire, Jacob, soon arrived to take our drink and food orders. Jacob was efficient, attentive and informative, and we thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with him. The pasta dish, side Caesar salad (with anchovies!) and dessert we had were fantastic. The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is that the onion focaccia with tapenade we were served looks nothing like the photos of focaccia in other reviews, which look as we expected. Ours looked more like small pieces of pizza, and although the taste was okay and the tapenade was delicious, we're a little bummed that we didn't get the real thing.
