First time going for happy hour. We arrived around 6 PM on a Monday night and we're greeted and sat immediately at the cocktail area. If you want to do happy hour you either have to sit in the cocktail area or at the bar we ordered mostly from the happy hour menu. We ordered the Vessalico pizzeta that is a mini version because it's for happy hour, the marinated olives that came out very warm and delicious, the calamari fritti (small portion), polpette Della nonna which were delicious meatballs, a couple olive leaf martinis and a espresso martini as well as the fazzoleti Al pesto pasta from the regular dinner menu. Everything was absolutely delicious freshly made, and at the correct room temperature. I loved the small portions, which meant that you are able to try more options. Corzetti was recommended to me on Yelp with some great reviews. The food was pretty good - I really liked the meatballs and the pizza with white sauce. The ambiance is nice and the decor is vibrant, it feels like a hip spot. The prices seemed pretty high for what it was, but it is the city in a pretty touristy area, so I wasn't surprised. Where they fell down was the service. It felt like our server totally forgot about us and left us for a really long time not asking if we wanted anything or even coming to take our check. My husband and I chose Corzetti for our reception dinner after getting married at city hall. We were able to book their private dining room and it was perfect! It was SUEPER busy because of santa-con so things were a bit slow coming out but we were told there were som eissues with the payment devices etc so it was not in their control. Very cute space and a fun twist on a tea spread. I was slightly disappointed because I had wrote in my reservation one person was a vegetarian, and I even messaged on instagram to ask if there was any accommodation for vegetarians with no response. On the day of I asked the server if they could remove the fish eegs form one of the toasts and she said they couldnt do modifications.... So I misssed out on a few bites! The desserts for me were the absoloule highlight - it was so fun to try a few different types. The best was the biscoti and the little fruit bread with cream. Vibrant colors, geometric architectural lines, unique artwork, and chic vibes transport diners to the Italian riviera. There is a stand that has cute Italian riviera-themed postcards located by their entrance which you can take for free. It makes a perfect souvenir or home decor. We made a reservation for six, and arrived promptly but had to wait til our party fully arrived. Soon, we were seated and given some room temp water. Drink and food menus were passed around and there are a lot of your typical Italian restaurant choices like pasta, pizza, and apps. We got some bread and salad and we each ordered some items. Service was incredibly friendly - we were given water refills quickly and without asking, and our waiter stuck around to check on our meals and drinks. We also made a couple of accommodates and the staff was really nice to help us out by placing some ingredients on the side! Everything tasted fresh and yummy but funnily enough I liked the salad more than the pasta even though the pasta was still good. This is a great place for a casual meal or a date or something. First time coming to Corzetti. I went on a Sunday afternoon. My table and I made a reservation and was seated immediately. The inside was fairly empty at 4pm, so the wait was minimal. The pasta looked like scalloped potatoes. At first we thought we ordered the wrong dish. Once we took a bite we realized we were wrong. After long travels from UT to see Sam Smith at the Castro Theater, we walked over to Corzetti from Hotel G where we're staying, for a bite to eat. Despite not having a reservation, we were greeted warmly and seated in a cozy corner area. Our waiter extraordinaire, Jacob, soon arrived to take our drink and food orders. Jacob was efficient, attentive and informative, and we thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with him. The pasta dish, side Caesar salad (with anchovies!) and dessert we had were fantastic. The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is that the onion focaccia with tapenade we were served looks nothing like the photos of focaccia in other reviews, which look as we expected. Ours looked more like small pieces of pizza, and although the taste was okay and the tapenade was delicious, we're a little bummed that we didn't get the real thing. I went on a Friday night for dinner. It was busy so reservations are recommended. Loved the decor and the wallpaper. Pretty noisy, it was hard to keep a conversation. Not for dates. My pasta, Ravioli di Zucca were well cooked. I'd have added some sage but it was good, not heavy. Any dessert caught my eye. With so many summer pictures on the wall I was expecting something interesting, from the south like Delizia al limone. Italy is more than panna cotta, tiramisù and gelato. party of 2, arrived around 645-7pm on a saturday, 5-10 minute wait for a table (vs. bar). i was slightly offput by the wait upon entering -- we got to the front and stood for about 5 minutes before we eventually got addressed by a server whose hands were full of plates (thus, it probably wasn't their job to seat us in the first place & someone else wasn't doing their job). after getting seated, there seemed to be a better flow. we got waters, ordered, and the food came out in a timely manner (appetizers before entrees). fritto misto -- would much rather have just gotten the plate of calamari only. sauce has a bit of kick to it but was pretty good! bolognese -- pasta was cooked to al dente (yum!) and the dish was pretty much as you'd expect for bolognese. vongole -- they gave a surprising amount of clams for such a small dish, but the noodles in this dish were slightly undercooked. also has a bit of a kick to it, probably from the chili flakes. my main note with this restaurant is how small the portions are. if we hadn't gotten the appetizer, our entrees would not be enough to fill us for dinner. for each dish to be $25 on average, you would expect much better quality & service. however, all aspects seemed to fall short & we left with a pretty subpar experience from here. read more

I was looking for good pizza around Union Square. Corzetti happens to be on the list. And even better they have happy hour everyday 4:30-6:30pm. We got a couple rounds of food and drinks - calamari fritti, baccala, polpette short rib and guanciale meatballs, margherita and vessalico pizetta, pizza spritz, and house beer. The happy hour pizetta is a smaller pizza that can be found on the regular menu. I gotta say the pizza crust is REALLY GOOD. That's a rare compliment coming from a pizza snob. The crust is crispy too and bottom with a soft chew in the middle. The ratio of the topping to crust is just right. The quality ingredients- fresh mozzarella, light tomato sauce, and higher quality soppressata made the pizza a real treat. All the other food we ordered were excellent - good ingredients and well executed. The cocktail menu looks very interesting as well. Looking at the menu, the bar is not afraid of using salt to accentuate certain flavors. The pizza spritz drink I got almost tastes like a Bloody Mary. The service was friendly and courteous from our server. The restaurant is well designed with an elevated relaxing vibe. We had the brussel sprouts which were perfectly cooked to be just tender enough with a bit of brown/char on the cut side. We had the beet salad which had both red & golden beet slices & arugula, lightly dressed. We also had the roasted cauliflower, tagliatelle bolognese (wide handmade ribbons of pasta with tomato based meat sauce), pepperoni pizza (thin crispy crust and very shareable size), and lattuga salad with added grilled chicken. My daughter & I shared a few menu items - focaccia with olive tapenade, calamari and pesto fazzoletti. The focaccia had onion and flavorful seasoning but was dry (maybe over baked? So, my least favorite item)- the olive tapenade that was served with it was delicious. The calamari was tender and cooked perfectly served with chili aioli and fresh lemon to squeeze. The pasta was amazing. The pesto so fresh topped with Parmesan and pine nuts - the pasta was done just right ( al dente). I really like the kind of the pasta ( frazzoletti) large, flat and square shaped translation little handkerchiefs. The ambiance is a cozy art deco vibe with some walls of lemon motif wallpaper and photos of Italy hung. They give out Italian themed postcards.
