Yes, be prepared for some time waiting. Plenty of people give really low ratings because of that. If you show up knowing you might have some time to kill, and bring something to read, things are fine here. We've bought probably 5 or 6 full sets of tires here over the years. Installation is always well done, it has always been done more quickly than they estimate, and the lifetime repairs have been really helpful for when we pick up the occasional nail on the street. read more

At that pace, the wait time for others would have easily exceeded an hour. Most of the time was spent walking around the tire area searching for inventory, with little sense of urgency. I made an appointment to get my mom's tires changed and we arrived a bit earlier than our appt. We went straight to the lobby and waited for someone to help us but no one was there. We rang the bell multiple times and no one came out. just stood there waiting, assuming someone would finally show up since, you know... we had an appointment. After several minutes, someone finally came out. I didn't catch her name, but she checked us in only to tell us that we were "late" and that they had given our spot away. We were standing in the lobby the entire time -- waiting for help -- and not a single employee bothered to come out. If they review their security footage, they would clearly see what time we walked in and how long we stood there waiting. We were on time. The only reason we were "late" in their system is because nobody came out to acknowledge us. Instead of owning the mistake, we were told to come back another time, as if it were our fault. Absolutely unacceptable. If this is how they treat scheduled appointments, I honestly don't know how they expect customers to rely on their service. I've always trusted Costco for their efficiency and customer care, but this experience was honestly infuriating and a huge disappointment. read more

Got a set of Michelin Primacy Tour All-Season Tires to replace the original tires of my 2023 Genesis GV70. The dealer's quote was $400 more than Costco! Plus Costco included installation in the prices, inflated the tires with nitrogen, included free tire rotations, a 5-year road hazard warranty, and flat repairs. The only challenge was ordering the tires online the. Having to wait till the tires came in to schedule installation. I scheduled for 7pm, Costco closed at 8:30pm, I go my car at 8:45pm. I would definitely go back for my next set of tires! read more

We had an appointment for service last week and after showing up on time and waiting in line we were told the credit card system was down and we'd have to reschedule. I go back in, drop the car off, and am told it will be 60-90mins to complete the service. About 90 mins later I get a call that they will be unable to complete service on my vehicle and that I will have to make another appointment after ordering parts. I asked why I had to wait 90 mins before anyone even LOOKED at my car and they told me "I wasn't the only customer there", completely missing the point. Why are people showing up at X time instead of 90 mins later when they are actually going to begin servicing the car. All in all, between travel time, waiting in line, and waiting for service to be done I spent about 4 hours of time that got me absolutely nothing but frustration. Then to have that frustration met with complete indifference and an attitude akin to a certain soup restaurant on Seinfield really just sent me over the top. Costco may be the cheapest option, but my time is worth something too and I don't intend to return to this location for tire service. I hope anyone reading this reconsiders as well. read more

Terrible service all around at Costco Coleman Tire Center, and don't expect them to honor a warranty on tires they sold you and installed. Got a flat because of a road hazard on a $250 Michelin tire with only 3000 miles/3 months driving, and they were too busy to even repair it for 2 days. When I had the car towed in to have the flat fixed or replaced, they were 2 hours behind schedule for the appointment. Then they refused to honor the warranty on the tire. They need new management -- and a course in ethics. Would give a negative star if I could. read more

I recently brought my car in for service at your Costco location. After the service, I noticed that someone had gone through my trunk and left all the contents scattered in the back seat. I wasn't informed that this would be necessary, and nothing was put back or even mentioned when I picked up the car. Good place to buy tires from, but get warranty work done elsewhere, like AmericasTire. My tire warranty was voided because the tires were apparently installed improperly at this Costco and was overlooked each time I had my tires rotated here. Zero accountability . Disappointing wait time for tires to arrive and even more disappointing wait time, two hour or the whole day, for any tire service. Stay as far away from this place as possible. Usually have a very positive experience with costco tire centers but, this one is different. Had an appointment at 6, was told it would take 1.5 hours to change 1 tire on the car. Are you sucking the air out and blowing it in yourself to take an hour for changing a tire? Takes 5 minutes at any other shop. The whole time I was there, there were employees just loitering around not doing anything, making the situation so much worse. On top of this, they had no idea which tire they had changed out, I had to ask multiple people to find out if the correct tire was changed. Finally, to top it all off, come back to the car and see the tire pressure light on my car is not reset. Asked the "mechanic" and he said "drive the car a few miles and if it still does not go away, your tire pressure sensor is broken." I mean what did I just pay for? Thankfully I have some more mechanically inclined friends and they forgot to reset the tire pressure sensor. Each wheel has nicks on it because the tech is either in a rush or careless in the quality of work they are doing. They were super nice but it took almost 2 hours to rotate and balance my tires when it shouldn't have taken over 45 min. I was not told they were short staffed and then when they apologized for the delay it took another 30 minutes and I'm still waiting for them ti put it on the floor so I can drive home. My food is being jeopardized and I'm generally a very patient person. I would have liked better and communication for a simple service. read more

The thing that got me, at first, was that I was told "you're trying to do a walk in, now?", as if some how I could schedule my flat tires. From the start, there were no vibes that anybody wanted to help us. Never the less we tried to get ourselves squeezed in for a tire repair, we arrived at a little after 6pm and closing was 8:30pm. The man at the counter went to the back and then came back and told us he had to turn us away. We asked to speak to a manager and then Tim came and after he went to check with those above him, after the counter man suggested that over time would have to be approved, manager Tim got a little OT approved and we were finally checked in at some 6:27pm. Counter man, I will say his name was probably Joseph, per the invoice, tells us that we will likely get the car back after 9pm. Not an hour later I get a phone call and I am told that the tire is not repairable and that I have to have it replaced and they do not have the replacement for it, I should try Almaden Costco. At this point, I have to grab the car and rush to Almaden, I have to have the car fixed, I have a road trip to Los Angeles the next morning. We make it to Almaden Costco and I explain to them the situation they look at the tire and wonder why I was told it could not be repaired. They repaired it and I was able to travel the over 350 mile journey on the repaired tire with no problem. I had forty five minutes wasted and I was lied to and told the tire could not be repaired. I was also told by the tire center, likely Joseph, that it was a run flat and that because I drove on it while it was flat, that that was the reason it could not be repaired. My tire, according to Almaden is not a run-flat and it not only could be repaired but it was. The Santa Clara Costco just wanted to pass us off to another Costco. I truly want to give special thanks to Eric and Liz at Almaden Costco Tire Center for their courtesy and kindness from the beginning, at Santa Clara Costco, on Coleman, I was immediately told that I would have to be turned away because I tried to "walk-in" at little after 6pm, almost two and a half hours before close. Where as Almaden was able to take me in and out with less than an hour to close and do what Santa Clara said could not be done. I am glad that Santa Clara didn't have the replacement, this helped me to learn that I could never go there again. I was told it could not be fixed and that I had to get a new tire which turned out to be a lie. I have the receipts to prove it. This kind of behavior really is what makes people distrust those in the automotive industry and any industry in which we are not an expert in and I have to point out the actions of this Tire Center and I hope the other person, who arrived when I did, with a flat tire, that was poorly timed, was able to get taken care of. read more

We had an appointment on a Saturday which we had to book 2 weeks in advance which is already insane. While waiting for my appointment, I got a flat tire and was on my spare. I go into the shop and they say they can only take 8 walk-ins a day and people start lining up an hour before they open just so they can get their car worked on. I told them that this was a safety issue and I did not feel comfortable driving it. The manager said there was nothing they could do and they told me to come in at 8 am to wait in a cold line outside until 9 am when they opened. I had no other option so that's what I did. I waited an hour in an extremely cold and uncomfortable line for an hour before giving my car to them when they said they had no time estimate for me. I ended up waiting THIRTEEN hours. I got my car after they closed. There were literally cars behind me in line that probably did not get their car that day. Changing tires should take an hour to three hours MAXIMUM. This is absolutely astonishing that this establishment is this good at f-ing up this bad. NEVER go here, EVER... read more

Brought back my 7 year old Costco batter (that's right I said 7 year old) "most battery's don't live past 5 years." I told told the guy behind the counter I wanted a different style "one without the side post and instead with the post on top" He rolled his eyes at me and said you can't do that because every vehicle has a specific battery application. I politely informed him that this was for a custom built car and that's what I wanted. He then perked up and said oh ok and began pulling different batteries off the shelf until he found exactly what I was looking for. I had a pleasant experience with this Costco tire. I was leaving work and saw that my tire was flat. I called and asked if they could check it for a patch job and they told me it could take a while but they can do it. I drove my car over after inflating my tire and they greeted me kindly and again told me it could take a while. This isn't too much of an issue at Costco though since you can walk around and they have food and Wi-Fi. It actually only took one hour so faster than I expected! Lies, Laziness, Incompetence, or a Combo?? I had a nail towards the center of the tire with a slow leak. The tire still had about 80% tread and I deemed it as repairable in my history of catching nails in tires as it was not close to the sidewall. Coleman Costco told me it was non-repairable after holding onto my car for half the day (I arrived 30mins before opening as I did not have an appt). They did not have the tire in stock so they said I would have to order a new tire and set an appointment. I did as what was suggested which took about 2 weeks as my car sat idle with its spare on. I had the tire ordered and set an appointment with another Costco which was a more convenient distance for me. When arriving at my appointment I showed the photo of the nail placement in order to get a second opinion. When they investigated the problem, they found that the tire was indeed repairable. This saved me $180.31 and the tire was patched under warranty free of charge. I do not usually leave negative reviews for minor issues, but this one would have took needless money out of my pockets and have wasted a close to new tire. If I was to assume what happened here, they were really busy (understandably and expected) and they wanted to rush me out the door to come back at another time. Straight bullsh*t regardless of the reason. I have lost my trust and will not be coming back to this Costco location. Get your second opinion folks. read more

Costco tire center's service is unfortunately disappointing. I purchased 4 new tires from them and setup an appointment a whole week later (earliest available slot) to have them replaced. I went in the following week and gave them my car for the work along with a request to check whether 1 problematic tire could be covered on warranty if possible and to go ahead and replace all 4 regardless as I'd already purchased 4 tires. Costco called me back and informed me that my tire would not be covered under warranty and that they didn't have my tires in stock nor could they guarantee when my tires would be available. Why did Costco go to the trouble of scheduling an appointment for me? Why wasn't I informed that the tires weren't available when I dropped off my vehicle for my appointment? Why can't Costco's associates inform me when the tires will be available in stock? It is all a mystery. read more

Make sure you arrive early if you have to go because of an issue or repair, because you just never know if they have the tire you will need to replace and in my case the tires I purchased back in Jan 2021 are now discontinued, so they had to find a compatible one, in which case I was very happy! An 83-year-old friend of our family needed new tires for her car and we went to the Costco tire center located on Coleman Ave. We arrived about 9 and the place was already hopping. My friend had forgotten her Costco card and wanted to check that they could look it up there, otherwise we could go in the store and get a temporary card. Even though there was a line she just needed to ask the staff so we would not get through the line only to lose our place. Everyone in line was gracious to her as they knew she wasn't going to cut, just ask. When she approached the desk, Kat, one of the staff, told her "Ma'am you need to get in line". My elderly friend said I just have a question about my card and Kat replied "Please get in line". The other person at the desk, I believe his name was Hung, took the second to assure her they could look it up there. There were multiple signs all over the store that showed there was an instant rebate of $150 for Bridgestone tires. When we got to the desk, I was relieved that we got Hung to help us. When he was ringing us up, I asked regarding the rebate and was told sorry that expired yesterday. I asked then why are the signs still up? Kat piped in, yet again snarky and replied "It's because we didn't take them down." No sh*t Sherlock. We asked if that could be honored since there were many signs up and Hung was doing everything he could to honor that. There was another woman at the counter that I assumed was a manager, with black lipstick on, who said she could override it. She seemed mad to do it and never said a word to us about it. There was just this attitude because we were insistent that they honor what was advertised. Hung continued to provide us with outstanding service and he was so respectful to my friend, taking the time to explain to her regarding the tires, the time it would take to install and answered all her questions. I appreciated his caring nature. The tires took about 4 hours to install and everything is perfect with that part of the service. read more

Just left here in an attempt to get 1 tire changed. Arrived there was was an elderly couple being attended. The husband was having trouble remebering details about the car and the attendant was giving attitude to the couple as a result especially when they were explaing what tires they were trying to change. The wife asked how long it would take because the attendant didn't say. He got annoyed and quickly said "1 hour" ( remember this time). I was second in line and during this whole interaction with the elder couple some guy literally comes in and stands next to me and in my head I knew he was trying to cut. When the elder couple was done the attendant said next and that when the random guy hurries forward. I got annoyed and said excuse me we were next. The attendant with attitude said no he was getting stuff and was here earlier. Before I can even respond he then tell me of want us to help you put this on your car (number roof cap) and give us the mileage number. I didn't respond and thanked him. I went I put the cap on the car since already had the mileage. Only a couple secs passed and I came back in and the attendant was attending another customer. I finally get to talk to the guy and explain that we needed one tire change after he asked what we wanted. He then tells me that it will take all day and the car won't be ready until 830pm. I got very annoyed because I heard him tell the the couple that their tire change will only take 1 hr and costco closes exactly at 830 but i didnt day that. I simply told him oh ok in that case we will go somewhere else to get the job done. He looked shocked and then with attitude asked "so your going to go somewhere else?" And told him yes because we can not be waiting all day for 1 single tire change ill just bring back the roof number. Before I can even finish my response he grabed his clipboard and started walking away and cut me off saying just leave it outside already having his back towards us. Somehow, I managed to run over a nail and puncture 2 holes in my brand new tire. Not a big deal because it was a VERY slow leak, but I wanted to take advantage of the original warranty. First issue: The place where I bought the tires a few months ago is off the radar. Maybe they closed? Went on vacation? I can't tell. I called and went by many times, to no avail. Slow leak or not, I felt like I shouldn't wait around too many days/weeks to fix the tire. So, I finally gave up and took my car to Costco. What did they do? Despite the fact that 4-5 employees were milling around, only one person was helping. Its the middle of a pandemic and we all need to be nice, so I patiently waited in the very long line. After I finally got to the front of the line, they offered to "look" at my tire, but said it would take 5-6 hrs. Well, I know the issue - I need a new tire, since this one can't be patched. I already verified this with the dealership. I couldn't wait 5-6 hrs, so I made an appointment to get the tire fixed in a few days. My mistake - I assumed that when they scheduled the appointment, they actually had the tire. When I showed up for my appointment a few days later, they advised it will take 60-90 minutes. What did I get? Apparently my appointment was just to "look" at the tire. Looking at the tire includes taking it off, DESTROYING the tire (that was perfectly usable - remember, it was a very slow leak), replacing it with the spare donut, and advising me they had to order a new tire that would be here between 3-10 days. Common sense tells you that, unless I have have multiple cars and drivers at my disposal, that's not going to work. Multiple days, $15, and three visits to end up in a much worse situation than I was already in. Then, they tell me - there is nothing else we can do. No apology, no acknowledgement that this is a difficult situation that could have been handled better. Just go off and drive on a donut for almost 2 weeks. They do not have a incredibly extensive set of tire options but what they do have is good enough. Had an awful experience here. Got a call that the tires we ordered are ready. The supervisor said just drop by within half an hour and your car will be ready in 90 minutes. We rushed there, mind you we have a 1-year-old. We get there in time, but the front desk guy now says the wait is at least 3 hours. Disappointed, we tell ourselves that this was just a fluke and schedule an appointment for the day after. Having a 1-year-old, we get there 30 minutes late. A very rude front desk guy practically yelling at us "you're late" and that it will take 3 hours to the job. The supervisor does nothing. I would avoid this place at any cost.
