    Rigatoni Happy Hour
    S R.

We went to Cotto for dinner which happened to be during Happy Hour. Since there were five in our group we ordered several items from the HH menu to share. Everything was delicious, from the pizza to the pasta. The standouts were the meatballs and the rigatoni. The short ribs were from the regular menu and those who sampled agreed they were tender and delicious! The waitress was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was casual but inviting. Luckily we walked from our hotel because it is difficult to find street parking in the neighborhood.

Came on a Saturday evening and there was no wait. We both felt like our food was a little lackluster in seasoning or taste. Could have been more flavorful. But it still tasted fine. Just a little underwhelming. I did like the ambiance of the restaurant and the service was pretty attentive.

Made reservations on OpenTable for Valentines' Day. Staff were super friendly. Was seated promptly. There was a lot of bar seating and indoor table seating. They also had patio outdoor seating. Food was very flavorful and we loved all the pasta dishes we ordered. Restaurant was clean inside and perfect for date night. Need to come back for their happy hour.

Super cute restaurant in a boomin area. Their date night deal with a pizza, pasta, appy and wine is great!! Good pasta, good pizza, good service.

Amazingly tasty food. I ordered the gnocchi and was VERY pleased!! Best pasta I've had in a while. Service by that adorable Turkish bartender was fantastic, he's also pretty fun to talk to. I recommend!!!

This was my second time visiting Cotto. Finally I came around to write the review. Both times, my friends and I were able to just walk in and get seated instantly. Started with a classic gin & tonic and it was good! We ordere the Funghi pizza, it was yum with earthy mushroom flavor and the crust was delicious. We also got an appetizer that came with bread with greens/pickled bites on top. It was flavorful and rich in taste. The vibes are cozy, intimate, and the staff is genuinely so nice, attentive without hovering. Perfect spot to even plan a nice date night! Overall, solid food and good drinks. I'd def go back!

Service, Food, Locals and background Seattle sports in the screen for the perfect experience. The owner Brandon makes the place feel like home away from home.

This is a really cute Italian spot in Belltown. Make sure to ask for the special 2 person menu! It comes with your choice of wine, appetizer, pasta and pizza to share with your dining partner. It's a great deal for $70! My BF and I ended up getting the Brussels sprouts which were quite toasty and flavorful! A very nice size portion too. Then we had the pasta with brisket. This was the highlight of the meal, with homemade pasta and savory brisket. Then we had the funghi pizza with wild mushrooms and fontina cheese. It was quite good! We couldn't even eat all the food and had to take some home as leftovers. Nice service and ambiance as well. Not too crowded on a weeknight either.

    Braised pork hash and shakshuka

The food was absolutely delicious! It is a little higher end for brunch in terms of pricing though so once in a while is ok for me. The braised pork dish was really good. I thought there would be more pork under but it was mainly potatoes and veggies. The shakshuka was probably my favorite with the eggs and the amount of flavor of the entire dish. The drinks were an iced americano and a Paloma. The server was very nice and check in with us every now and then. The interior is fancy but not too fancy so wearing casual clothes is ok. They also have an outside seating area for really nice days.

Sometime after Covid, restaurants in Seattle started closing early during the week. I mean, like... 8 pm early. What's an east coast girl living on the best coast to do?! Thankfully when hunger struck at 9:35 on a Thursday night, Cotto was there to answer the call. We actually popped into another restaurant down the street and their kitchen had just closed; we were en route to a pizza spot that I know is open super late, but we spotted Cotto and thought: will they take us? Fear not, not only is Cotto's kitchen open until 10 but they also have a late night happy hour! I had dined here twice before but never for HH. We ordered a cocktail and a glass of wine (each $10 on HH) and then made three choices from the HH menu. Our first was the Brussels sprouts, which came out crispy, topped with hazelnuts and a balsamic glaze. (A more perfect appetizer does not exist!) Our second dish was the malfadine pasta with pecorino and lemon. I'd had this before and was so pleased it is still on the menu. The lemon is subtle yet punchy, such a beautiful surprise of a pasta dish. Out last was the margherita pizza, which my +1 declared his fave in Seattle. Fresh ingredients, good char on the edges. PSA: save your crust to sop up the pasta sauce. Total bill ran about $80 for two people, including alcohol, tax and tip. (A near bargain these days!) Thank you, Cotto, can't wait to return!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a server at another establishment. When a server tells you to go someplace, you go. The best thing about this restaurant: THE WINE! So many Italian wines to choose from, with several options by the glass. I had a glass of La Gerla Sangiovese and it was AMAZING. The menu was transitioning from summer to fall, so a few items weren't available. The new menu hadn't been printed yet, but our waitress hand wrote all of the options for us to choose from from the whole menu. I actually thought that was a beautiful touch. Our table of five experienced the seasonal burrata (be sure to order focaccia to go with it!). Among us, we had a pizza and three pasta dishes. Everything was delicious! The restaurant is fairly small, but we had no trouble getting a reservation. We loved the decor and vibe. It was a great experience!

Food was good but didn't have that wow factor to it. Out of all the dishes we tried. bruschetta was my favorite, it was fresh, bread was toasted perfectly, definitely recommend, it's an appetizer so you can't go wrong! Pasta al vodka was ok, flavor was there, it had a hint of spice. I usually never order any marinara sauce pasta because I'm an Alfredo girly but they didn't have a big selection of pastas. Gemelli was pretty good, I would have never thought brisket would be good with pasta but flavors mixed very well. Out of the two pastas, I recommend the gemelli. It's my first time here, and we came between 2-3 pm so right before happy hour. Definitely will be going back so I can try other items on their menu because they didn't have pizza I want to try but wasn't craving it at the time. Service was good. We sat outside because it was sunny and it was cute but they do have indoor seating if you don't want the sun in your face.

The pasta and appetizers were both DELISH! The service was okay, not super attentive or particularly memorable. The ambiance of the place was nice and cozy. Overall, I recommend it for the yummy pasta but it's not my absolute favorite.

A couple hours later, I checked again and there was 1 cancellation. I am SO glad we had the opportunity to try this place. It's small, so would be difficult for large parties. Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The food was INCREDIBLE. Like close your eyes, and feel all the emotions while you're eating incredible. There was not a single dish I didn't enjoy. I would love to return and try the option where you get to try every antipasto, primo, and second on the menu for $122/person. Can't wait to come back to Seattle just for this!

Even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy during our visit, our server was extremely quiet and difficult to hear, which made communication a bit challenging. One nice touch was the complimentary bread service, which came with a generous amount of butter. We started with the artichokes from the seasonal menu. I was expecting them to be served warm or roasted, but they arrived cold, which was admittedly a misunderstanding on my part. The accompanying sauce was excellent though and definitely saved the dish for me. We also ordered the tajarin al ragù, one of the restaurant's signature dishes. Unfortunately, this was where my expectations and experience diverged. The pasta felt under-seasoned to me, and the noodles seemed overcooked. Rather than the silky texture I was hoping for, I found myself eating what felt like clumps of dough. It was a dish I really wanted to love given its reputation, but it just didn't click for me. We weren't looking for a heavy dinner, so we only ordered a couple of items. It's entirely possible we came on an off night or simply didn't choose the restaurant's strongest dishes. I'd be open to giving Cascina Spinasse another try in the future, but this visit left me feeling a bit underwhelmed compared to the hype.

I tried to order the fettuccine de mare, listed at $29 (no extra fees on Toast), but they told me it would be $43. That already didn't make sense. Then the server says, "We actually have 50% off happy hour until 11, come in and dine." So I came in. Ordered a drink, escargot, and a steak medium rare. The escargot came out fine. Then... nothing. 39 minutes later (at 10:45pm), the server asks if I'm waiting on anything else. Yes... my steak. She goes to check, disappears, and then comes back with something that honestly felt DISTESPECTFUL. The steak looked like scraps. Uneven, mismatched chunks, all different sizes, with burnt, crispy edges and covered in sauce like they were trying to hide it. It didn't look like a single cut of meat it looked like pieces from multiple steaks thrown together. The plating was sloppy, and the side looked like an afterthought. I didn't take a bite. I looked through it and said, "This looks like pieces from different steaks." She told me she watched them cut it... then immediately followed that by saying she saw them put it under a heat lamp to reheat. So which is it? I work in the food industry. I'm not going to be gaslit over a plate like that. She offered to refire it, but at that point it was almost 11 and they were closing. I paid for my drink and left. Honestly, I wouldn't have been upset if they had just told me the kitchen was closing when I called. But don't invite me in, forget my order, and then serve something like this and try to pass it off like it's normal. Just be honest.
