I paid with card, and when my card and receipt were given to me, they were both wet. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but I probably wouldn't recommend or return to this place.

Great bang for the buck. Generous portions. The fluffy biscuit and gravy is a must, you can taste the homemade. All the food items were served hot and crispy. The crapes were excellent, a must try on the special list. Will come back if in the area.

Plenty of parking as it's in a shopping center with lots of other businesess Food: Chilaquiles with pulled pork were very tangy. The chips themselves were perfectly crispy. Although they say not spicy, they are actually a bit spicier than that. Chocolate Chip Banana Pancakes were really yummy. They slice bananas and place them into the batter so they're fully whole throughout the pancakes. Perfect balance of the sweetness of bananas to the chocolate chips. Bacon was kinda tough and the sausage was okay. The Home fries had good flavor. No hash browns sold here but home fries are similar in texture

Been to this spot several times, and I always have a good experience when I'm there. There is typically some wait time to get seated, but there's a booth available to wait at. The service is good, the wait staff are polite and seem like they're always on the move. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are booths and smaller tables inside, and a handful of outdoor seating options that are covered with parasols.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Out of all the times I've been here, I've never had an issue with the food. I mainly get the breakfast options like the eggs Benedict, pancakes, waffle combo, crepes, and best of all the sirloin. Everything is cooked to perfection, nothing is under or over, and it's the right level of crisp. The home fries/hashbrowns are soooo good. The idyllic potato side for breakfast. My latest choice was the sirloin steak and I can definitely attest to it - juicy, a nice medium rare with a bit of fat to add flavor. Only gripe was that the side of A1 sauce they gave me wasn't enough, and it wasn't ideal calling them over for more. Prices are fine, not too crazy. I think for 3 people with drinks, it was around $60 after tip and tax. Good for a brunch spot - they do close a bit earlier so it's smart to check the times. Overall a great spot! Definitely my go to when I want a nice cozy brunch restaurant.

Wanted to try a local small business. Just an Average Breakfast Spot Country Cafe Visited: May 9, 2026 Stopped in for breakfast and overall it was an average experience at best. The service was adequate and the staff was polite enough, but the food didn't really stand out. I ordered the BLT with fries ($15.65), and honestly the sandwich was on the small side with very little bacon on it. The bacon itself was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while before being served. The oatmeal and toast ($8.50) and drinks were fine, but nothing memorable. Prices were: * BLT with fries - $15.65 * Oatmeal and toast - $8.50 * Hot chocolate - $2.95 * Dr Pepper - $2.95 Total for two people came out to $32.38 before tip. Nothing terrible, but nothing that would make me want to come back either. Just an OK experience overall and probably not a place I'd return to.

When my mother-in-law comes down from LA to have breakfast/brunch with us, this is the ONLY spot that she wants to go to. Our visits are usually mid-morning so that most of my house can sleep in a little bit on the weekend. Our last visit here was Saturday morning (11/8) around 10:30am. There were about 4 parties ahead of us but our wait time was about 10-15 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They offer indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor. They sat our party of five at a booth in the back of the restaurant. They offered us an additional chair but we made it work comfortably in the booth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only issue was after we had all ordered, we were playing Tetris to get our plates and cups to fit...which is definitely a good problem to have.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I decided to give the vanilla chai a try this time around instead of my usual coffee. I was NOT disappointed with this decision. It was so delicious. Everyone's food came out piping hot and didn't seem like any of the plates had been sitting there for a while waiting for the others to be finished. I will ALWAYS recommend that upgrade to spuds with your breakfast and their jam is made in-house so I'm pretty sure the special ingredient is love. We were jamming to some island jams while enjoying some great customer service and delicious food. We always enjoy stopping into Country Cafe for a great breakfast and usually enough leftovers for a 2nd breakfast.

I mean just look at the picture.... Country Cafe knows how to do breakfast, specifically, pancakes. I hate when restaurants add the fruits on top; I want them cooked into the pancake! As for the service, the staff is so nice! The servers are attentive and friendly, and I could hear the back of house who seemed like they were having fun playing music, which I like to hear. Lastly, the ambiance. It's cute and clean, there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely returning for more :)

I passed this place so many times and thought I'd finally stop and give this it a try. First this place is super cute from the wallpaper to the nostalgic items used to decorate the green walls, it really does look like a cute country kitchen. There are a few tables outside The servers, while not overly friendly, were nice enough. I was not very hungry, so I just ordered coffee, one scrambled egg, and white toast. The food came out fast, so I couldn't figure out how my egg was cold--perhaps it sat waiting for the toast to be done? It had a weird taste and I wasn't a fan. This place was full, with every table taken and one party waiting for a table when I was leaving, so I'm thinking my experience is not the norm. Clearly people like this place. Will I be back? It's not likely, but they seem to have lots of fans, so that's okay!

Fun little Cafe. Prices moderate, and food was yummy. Had my "go to" eggs Benedict. My niece had pancakes with blue berries. Even though you could tell they short staffed (this day anyhow) they all pullled together and we had excellent service. The cook sat us, brought us coffee... and still managed to cook up a yummy breakfast. Our waitress was friendly and took time to make recommendations. I'll visit again. read more

Great hospitality! Stopped by to have breakfast after a bike ride and asked for a table outdoors. They didn't have any open, but then proceeded to bring out a foldable table and chair so I can sit outside. Food was great and brought out very quickly too. Will definitely be back read more

Imagine you are in Mexico and you are craving Tacos. Would you eat tacos at Taco Bell or at an authentic Mexican taco place? Now you are back in Cypress, CA. You are craving good breakfast. Would you eat breakfast at the IHOP or eat at Country Cafe? I have no idea how IHOP still exist next to this place. Hash-brown to the perfection, good gravy and biscuit that reminded me of my time in South Carolina. Sirloin steak came out Medium Rare as I have requested. Very sad to see a good place go to crap (possibly new ownership). Before when the ladies were here, the service was great and the food was excellent. Now I am not sure if there is new ownership, but the food was bland and honestly it seemed like I was getting off the shelf food. No love was put into the food. I have ordered the Country boy in the past and I was excited to get it again. But this time the potato's were not seasoned, my Jimmy Dean sasauge was over salted and my biscuit seemed to be half the size. Almost like a Pilsburry biscuit out of a can. Gravy was bland no taste, even with Tapitio. Sorry to say, but I will not be going back to this place. Oh and they finally took down the (Grand Opening) sign. read more

Cafe is tucked away in a plaza near Taco Bell and Enterprise Rental Cars. BLUEBERRY PANCAKE - HUGE with lots of blueberries - the pancake itself was relatively fluffy but something was off with the combination. maybe i just prefer blueberry muffins instead BANANA PANCAKE - HUGE with banana slices throughout the pancake - preferred this one to the blueberry maybe because of the stronger fruit flavor to blend with the more bland pancake mix PARKING: may be challenging during the weekends so patience is key. SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT: cozy diner setting. Friendly staff that were very accommodating. Overall, decent place for breakfast if you're in the area. If I was to come back I'd order the omelettes instead as those looked much more delicious and nearly every table finished the eggs portions whereas the pancakes not so much. The place does get busy on weekends so plan accordingly to avoid waiting a long time. The prices are very reasonable. read more

Found this hidden gem on yelp....wow best sunday morning decision. I'm so stuffed, and happy. Hahaha. My 3yr old got a kids meal. 2 eggs, 2 bacon and 2 pancakes that were upgraded to banana pancakes for only $1.50! Wow this is a portion I would eat as an adult. He was also getting fussy so the staff gave him books to read, so sweet. I got the egg white scramble and house fries, AMAZING!!! I upgraded to a blueberry pancake for only $1.50. I only ate half, such a huge portion. My 11.yr old son got a sausage and cheese omelette with toast, HUGE. He is for sure taking a nap, haha. Overall we are very happy with the portion, prices and service. I will definitely come back and even share a plate. read more

A nice enough cage that served good breakfast food. Always timely and consistent. They share the same parking lot square with IHOP. In fact they are directly right across from each other It is usually a toss between them and IHOP when I want something easy for breakfast although 8/10 I choose country cafe. Given they're competing with a big chain like IHOP and doing well clearly speaks about their quality of food over IHOP. read more

Amending my previous review. Still good quality, still good quantity, still good service....BUT not a good value. Sorry, $15.45 for a three egg omelet, off the menu, nothing extra...just not worth it. In fact, most things on the menu are priced at $15.45! Is this some sort of experiment? Yes, eggs have gone up in price by $2 per dozen, or $.20 per egg, = $.60 per omelet. Not $6.00. I'll go to Terry's a few miles away, $12.99 for a chili cheese omelet, bigger portions, good quality, good service, plus they offer a senior discount. read more

Upon arrival the lady (with Asian features) in front greeted us and directed us where to sit quickly! She was extremely nice during our whole time there. This is my second time coming over the course of a full year and both occasions were lovely. It is a little warm inside not to bad. We were visiting from Texas so it's no no biggie. The meals are huge! The pancakes are huge too! Very delicious. For the price we got tons. I order the rancho omelette with spuds and whole grain toast bread. Ordered $48 worth of food for 4 people for a pickup. The food is very good, good portions, served Hot! But really hard to get in contact with when some thing is wrong. 10 minutes away from my house so when we returned home with the food our order was missing sausage & my avocado looked like this.... kind of disgusting. When I called shortly after the phone would say a message about "this time Warner customer is unavailable." This is the number both yelp & google maps have attached when your select call. I've tried to contact them several days after but there's never any manager. I just won't return here. Spent too much money for the shenanigans. read more

I was a little disappointed with the takeout food I received. I normally come here from time-to-time with my Mom & the food comes out pretty good. Except, this time when I ordered it to go, the farmer sandwich brought a weird shredded ham instead of the usual bacon & the egg was overcooked when asked for over-medium. I wasn't informed by the staff that they ran out of bacon & they substituted it for ham, it was just a disappointing surprise. I took into consideration that they were busy & it was a Sunday, but a heads up would've been nice. Other than that, I recommend maybe dining-in instead. It is a rather small location & don't recommend coming in anything larger than a group of 4...but there's also a pandemic happening so then again why would you even be in a group larger than 6? Parking is also limited & they're currently sitting customers dine-in or patio dining. Staff are always pretty friendly. read more

I came here with my husband and the restaurant itself reminded me of a small little diner you go to with your family after a morning mass. Packed with people coming together for one thing. FOOD! And there was plenty to choose from. Eggs Benedict with freshly sliced avocado, home style sandwiches, and who can forget the banana pancakes, made with what seems like pure heaven. And sure this isn't your 5 star eatery where people frown at you for not wearing the latest in fashion but what sets this place apart is the wonderful customer service and no one is rushing you out once the check comes in. Here you can come eat, relax, and enjoy some good conversation. Worth a try for anyone in the area with a hungry stomach. read more

I'm a classic french toast kind of gal. I typically will judge a place based on the quantity and quality of eggs, bacon, and french toast. Country Cafe gets 3 stars for pretty much being average. Tastes like your breakfast basics, but not bad enough to make me question why I don't cook it myself at home. Service is good. It's a cute little spot nestled in Cypress. Wouldn't have ever known about it if my friend hadn't dragged my sweaty butt here after hot yoga class down the street. Pro tip: Look around before ordering. Get an idea of what the "local regulars" love here. Or even better, ask your server about favorites aka apparently their pancakes. I'd also say omelettes and egg plates will probably be enjoyed. Thank you Yelp and all of your many loyal contributors. Without you we would have never of found this place. It's small and cozy. You may have to wait a bit but, once the food gets there the wait is worth it. The were six of us and that's about as big a party this place can handle comfortably. Everything from the omelet, pancakes, waffles, breakfast burritos, and chorizo with eggs were cooked perfectly. The portions are large enough to make you want to take a nap after your done. read more

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT get the chicken and waffles. The menu is pretty basic breakfast items and they definitely do not specialize in chicken and waffles even though the item is a "special." The chicken is your standard frozen chicken tenders like Tyson, super dry chicken breast, tasteless batter and chicken, and too much breading. As soon as I saw the chicken, I didn't want to eat it. I was hoping the waffle would salvage the dish but unfortunately its just as bad. The waffle is your standard batter without much flavor and the waffle was so so soft because its made with the standard waffle maker anyone can purchase for home. Brown waffle with no crisp. I paid way too much for a meal I could've made at home and was cringing the whole meal, I left 1/3 of the dish behind because I really couldn't stomach it. Fyi, there are no non-dairy options for coffee (but there is a legit coffee shop in the same plaza). Service was slow for minimal customers. read more

I gave it 4 stars because the quality is good, ice tea, fresh brewed. I ordered the vegetarian, added avocado, with a side of salsa which was ok. They also had tapatio and tobasco at the table. Sourdough toast which I like well toasted, but it came lightly toasted which is pretty standard. The portions are a little on the light side, which is probably what I need anyway. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Wait wasn't that bad. Ordered the eggs Benedict and really liked it. The potatoes were really good too. The bf got the country steak and he thought it was okay. Banana pancakes were pretty good. read more

Staff is professional and courteous. Second time there and food is overall bland. No seasoning on anything! Ask for my veggies to sautéed before placed in omelette, unfortunately I got hot raw veggies again. Coffee , syrup all bland. Would have gave a 3 rating but Denny's is better so 2 it is. read more

I've been missing out in life until I finally tried Country Cafe. This place is amazing! It's a small and cozy restaurant but this place is always packed and full of hungry customers out the door. What's the big hype about this place?? They serve one of the best tasting Banana Pancakes and their Portuguese sausages are always bursting with flavor with every bite. I recently tried their California Spuds dish which comes with their house special Home Fries, served with avocado, cheddar cheese and sour cream. If you're not a huge sour cream fan like me, ask to substitute it for salsa. Country Cafe is definitely the right place to satisfy your tastebuds. read more

Came in yesterday. We have been to the other location as well. This one is smaller and quaint. They also have some tables outside. We ordered the Popeye omelette and ABC omelette. The ABC omelette was pretty flat but tasted pretty good. The Popeye one was full of mushrooms, bacon and spinach. I really like the toast with homemade strawberry jam. Service was really great. She always checked on us. It's nice to have a breakfast place down the street. Place is small so if you have a big party, it may be a wait. read more

Just a nice mom-pop breakfast place which is perfect!! Great food! I always get the corned beef hash and home fries with toast or biscuits and gravy on the side! Kids menu is perfect for my kids and that's why I love coming here. They're friendly and affordable! Skip going to IHOP, which is in the same plaza. Come here instead! read more

Little hidden gem. Found this place on Yelp and gotta be thankful for that. Everything I've tried is fresh and tasty. Big portions too. My favorite is the Popeyes omelette with avocado on top and the home fries. If I had 1 complaint it's the $3 milk they sell comes in a 8oz glass!!?? Seriously!!! Lol. Just don't order a milk and you will be happy with this place. read more

Our party was a party of 3 we got sat down immediately drinks taken quickly we ended up waiting 10 minutes to get our order taken which no problem it was running somewhat busy. Two other tables got sat they were both parties of 2 and then a party of 3 got sat. Both got their drinks taken quickly and they put their orders in quick as well, after we had been waiting 30 minutes for our food and we continued waiting. the server hadn't checked up on us nothing. He ended up going to other tables and giving them discounts ,explanations on why the food was taking long but then again never mentioned anything to us or looked our way which is one rude and second they got there after. We weren't taken care of at all we stood up to let the employees know and they brushed us off giving attitude saying yes it's coming out like we were rushing them? The other table that got sat after ended up getting a sirloin just like me and they got it before smh. One employee came up saying they had ran out of mean , how hard was it to let us know to begin with instead of serving others. I was having my vehicle serviced at a nearby establishment, and this restaurant was recommended to me. Good thing, too, because sadly, it is located in a small mall, where if You did not know where it is, You would not know where it is. Heck, I have passed-by on many occasions, and I had never before noticed it. The Staff were all polite and courteous. The Service was always prompt. The Food was outstanding. On both occasions, I ordered "The Hungry Man Meal." Of course, being The Pig which I am, I ordered ham, sausages and bacon. The Prices were reasonable. I support family-owned establishments, and I am glad that this restaurant was suggested to me. It may just be "The-Best-Kept-Secret" in Cypress, California. We recently had a really nice meal at Country Cafe in Cypress. We ordered a bunch of yummy stuff, like a homemade waffle, a Baja omelette with home fries, and corned beef hash with home fries. We also got the kid's pancakes from the menu. The food was a cool mix of home-cooked meals and classic diner food, which made it taste different and good. The waffle was awesome - super fluffy inside and crispy outside. The Baja omelette was really tasty, and the biscuits with gravy were a hit too. Our server, Karoline K, was really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Her great service added a nice touch to our meal. Country Cafe knows how to make a menu that has both the comfort of homemade dishes and the fun of diner food. I stopped by Country Cafe and had a great breakfast experience. This is a small, mom-and-pop-style restaurant that feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. The place was very clean, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and provided great customer service. We ordered the Popeye Omelet, Hobo Omelet, and French Toast. My favorite dish was the Popeye Omelet, which comes with fresh spinach, bacon, onions, mushrooms, and Jack cheese. When you are looking for an awesome breakfast look no further. This is just another chain in the legacy of incredible niche breakfast joints that the owner has grown and completely excels at. I love their banana pancakes but for some reason was really looking for a waffle on my last visit. I was pleasantly surprised with what I got with a non-dried out, fluffy waffle that was crispy and delicious. Paired it with some eggs and bacon and it makes for an incredible and memorable meal. If you've ever wondered what institutional cafeteria food tastes like with a side of disappointment, order the meatloaf. The coleslaw appeared to be made from aging cabbage with visible brown and pink bruising throughout. To save myself a trip to urgent care, I passed on trying it. Even the lemon slices in our water glasses were slimy. The atmosphere felt less like a destination restaurant and more like the dining room of an assisted living facility. The average age of the patrons appeared to be somewhere around 78, which honestly started making sense once the food arrived. The hostess was very nice and our waitress was pleasant, but she seemed just as confused as we were about what was actually available on the menu. We left hungry, annoyed, and wondering how many other people had made the same pilgrimage after seeing that Instagram post. At this point, I have to question whether @laoc.eats actually eats at the places being promoted or just photographs them. This was our second disappointing restaurant recommendation from that account, and it may be the last time we use it as a dining guide. Forty minutes there. Forty minutes back. One edible side dish. I should have just stayed home and made a sandwich.

Unsafe Conditions, Dismissive Management & Unnecessary Security Call…read more I was dining at Thirty Acres Kitchen inside the Knott's Hotel when water started dripping directly from the ceiling onto me. There was also standing water on the floor with no wet floor signs, barriers, or any warnings whatsoever. This was a clear slip-and-fall hazard in a busy restaurant. I calmly brought it to the attention of the manager on duty, Julie, and pointed out how dangerous it was--especially for guests using wheelchairs or with mobility needs, this was particularly concerning. Instead of addressing the problem, she dismissed it as "not a big deal," refused to complete any incident report, gave me a negative attitude with a mean facial expression, and then called security on me as if I was the problem. When the young security guard arrived, he asked for my ID. I politely refused and explained the situation calmly--he looked surprised but not defensive. I have photos documenting the ceiling leak, standing water, and lack of signage. This experience was disappointing and unsafe, especially from a hotel restaurant attached to a family theme park. Management should prioritize fixing hazards and training staff to handle legitimate guest concerns professionally rather than escalating them. I hope Knott's / Six Flags investigates and improves. This was my first time coming to this restaurant.
