First trip to Alaska and we decided to try the Country Cafe. The food was really good and Amy (owner and our waitress) provided excellent service , was super friendly, and answered all our questions! You must stop in for the Ron and Linda breakfast and hear their sweet story! The restaurant is the perfect balance charm and quirky!

Late flight out of Fairbanks today so I came to North Pole Alaska for one more Triple D. Maybe I can see Santa to get my name off the naughty list. When in Nome do as the Nomans do. If you are in Fairbanks you would be making a mistake by not visiting the country cafe in North Pole. The place is a mom and pop diner with remote control planes hanging from the ceiling. It's just a plane space if you ask me. It's big bright and home the waitress and front house staff are really nice. The menu has many interesting choices and dang did that food come fast. The Croissant French toast was delicious although it was a bit mooshy I still enjoy. The glaze was not super sweet that was a nice touch. I added the reindeer sausage and that was a great choice. Kind of warped to eat reindeer in Santa's home town thought. Try it yourself. Cute joint and a must visit local friendly place.

We saw the reindeer sausages on the menu and decided to give it try! It's a small restaurant in a strip mall with plenty of parking. I ordered their signature burger with a side of reindeer sausages. I didn't care for the sausages but the burger was good! We left satisfied with our bellies full! Also grateful that the staff there are so friendly

The was their breakfast sandwich and it was SO GOOD and big!

This little mom and pop place was perfect! It was recommended by one of their family friends as I flew into the Fairbanks airport and they didn't disappoint! The food was delicious! The service was great, the owner was super friendly!

    Croissant French toast!

For whatever reason, North Pole seems to have a much better breakfast seen that Fairbanks, which is much later! A classic diner/greasy spoon with a few unique twists: 1) A Bulgogi burger! 2) An insanely decadent croissant French toast! I came for breakfast and ordered the second. I'm not much into sweets, but when I am...it's French toast at breakfast. (gotta have a black coffee though, to cut the sugar...so I can eat more sugar) It was unique and delightful, and of course came with very quick coffee refills. It came with a side of bacon that was generously portioned. The interior was bland and drab but...seriously who cares? Service was warm and friendly, they make you feel like family.

    Breakfast!

I was happy with our visit, we've been there twice already actually. Pretty good food.

The best home cooking we have had in Alaska. The Country Cafe skillet was exceptional, and the sourdough bread...to die for.

Semi decent food, overly expensive though. Garlic bread is bland, country fried steak is dried. But y'all got good mozzarella sticks.

We got coffee and a Mocha drink (im sorry I spaced the name) with were both hot and a nig big mug!! My son asked for a Blueberry coffee which the girl was happy to make fresh!! We ordered the pancake bites, which were light and fluffy!! I could have had a huge bowl of these, sitting on the couch, with syrup, would have made my visit. We also ordered biscuits and gravy, and I said we'd share, which she split for us and gave us each plenty to eat. Before we left I got a "to-go" cup and we were chatting with the young lady, who's family came in and small world. . . . Her husband plays hockey. An outlet for my son who plays in net, and goalies are needed. Just an overall great experience and beautiful people. THANK YOU!

They told me they could grill the chicken instead so I ordered the rap. Just to find out that it was actually deep fried and they just took the pretty deep fried patty and threw another girl for a few minutes. This was not explain to me and when I ordered they said they would grill it. Assomeone who has dietary restrictions and cannot eat deep fried and purposely ask this before ordering just to be explained after receiving the food I feel like I was kind for a $15 sale. Also my kids thought they were getting Dino nuggets cuz that's what it said on the board just to turn out that's not actually what they're selling.
