    Mignardise - Dirt Deseert

Was here for our 18th Anniversary. Small intimate place with Exceptional Service. All waiters are Sommeliers. We did the 5 Course as the website was not clear that the 8 course was even available except on weekends so we did not even consider it before going. Each course was exquisite in its own way. And not your every day ingredients or combinations. Wine pairing at $95 was Very good and my wife is now on the hunt for one of them! All in all it was a great experience, but be prepared for a $300 minimum to easily $600- $800 meal for a couple.

This place is amazing! Especially considering it is located in a strip mall. The space is smaller so the tables have to be set relatively close to each other. This made it a little difficult to get in and out of the bench seating that most of the tables use... The service is excellent though I did wish our server was a bit more personable. He did his job very well, was very professional and proper but I wished he would have smiled a bit more or been a little warmer.. maybe it is just the mood the restaurant strives for? The napkins are changed every time you leave your seat to use the restroom...I am used to places refolding them when someone gets up but not replacing the whole thing. The food is extremely well thought out. The flavors blend beautifully together. Ingredients you never would have thought to put together blended impeccably well. The plating was beautiful each and every time. The mixologist was also extremely gifted. The drinks do not list all of the alcohols in them but they all work well and have a unique, balanced, flavor. The ice cubes are uniquely designed and are extremely well created. We had the 5 course menu and I had the Tom kha and venison for the courses you had an option. Would I go back? Maybe for the experience or to take someone who has never been. Are the portions enough for someone with a big appetite? No. Service/ambiance 4/5 Food: 4.5/5 Drinks: 5/5

    Father's Day menu

My husband and I have never indulged in a prix fixe meal but we figured our 27th anniversary was a fine time to try one. We were intrigued by the Father's Day Menu which was five courses plus dessert and a mignardise. (A small, final sweet treat. Yes, I had to look that up!) I'll post a photo of the menu and just mention a few highlights, but the presentation of everything was beautiful and tasted wonderful. My favorite round by far was the third course: swordfish steak, cooked perfectly with a tasty sauce, roasted tomato and eggplant purée. Another course I enjoyed was the second: poutine. It looks very basic in the photo - just like a couple of simple French fries. But the crisp potatoes with the cheese, lardons, sauce and scallions all went together very well. The only dish I was somewhat disappointed in was the dessert, which was a PB & J creation. I love peanut butter but I was expecting more from a high-end, expensive restaurant. For what we were paying I'd hoped for something really elegant. It still tasted fine but was very basic. The service here was warm and friendly. We were greeted by a very nice host. We had a team of servers bringing our food - all very knowledgeable and kind. We especially liked our Fork Guy whose job seemed to be replenishing our utensils for each new course. He was sweet! So now the mysteries of the prix fixe meal have been unlocked. Even though the plates are small, I personally feel like it's a lot of food and left feeling extremely full and satisfied. If you want to splurge for a special occasion, check out their menus online to see if they suit you.

If you're looking for a unique dining experience ,Course with Chef Cory is it. I had the chef's tasting menu and wow!every dish was a masterpiece. The flavors were so bold and beautifully balanced, it felt like each bite took me somewhere magical. The cocktails? Unreal. Creative, smooth, and just as memorable as the food. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but honestly, it's worth every penny. Chef Cory knows how to turn a meal into an experience! There are plenty parking spaces as it's located in a plaza. The dress code is I would say business casual. When you go there be adventurous and definitely try one of their cocktails.

Course Restaurant exceeded expectations. My 11yo son and I went for a "date" over the weekend and had the best experience. Every course was delicious. Same with the drinks. The atmosphere blends laid back style with exquisite fine dining. We enjoyed the 2026 Spring 8-course prix fixe meal. We added the "Animal Fries," and subbed lobster and wagyu. We had the Radish and Toast, Fried Pickle, Peas and Carrots, Asparagus (sub lobster), Red Snapper, Poussin, Lamb Loin (sub wagyu on one entre), Blueberry acai, and Dirt Dessert were all so good that it is hard to choose a favorite. My son picked the wagyu & Peas and Carrots as his favorites. Not only was our server fantastic, but the GM, David, was also extremely helpful in making drink recommendations & talking to us a bit about the history of the restaurant as it wraps up 3 years of service. We even met Chef Cory who was kind enough to snap a pic with my son! Highly recommend!

Amazing custom cocktails at Course that you will NOT find anywhere else. Justin is a genius.

I can't say enough about Course. The food is wonderfully creative and delicious, Cory's brunch and dinner creations are fantastic. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. The drinks are out of this world (Justin is a creative evil genius!). The GM Dave is the consummate host. You will never be disappointed dining here!

This was an experience. 11 courses and 2+ hours of dining. It was such a relief to have an actual pleasant dining experience, restaurants recently have been hit or miss. This is definitely a hit. If you love fine dining, come here. It's a seasonally rotating prix fixe menu where classic French technique meets culinary inspiration from around the world. The service is obviously impeccable, with your server tour guiding each course. There is too much to say about the food, but one thing I can say is you won't leave hungry. Although each course is small, the flavor experiences and multitude of courses make up for it. The stand outs for me were the cauliflower, fish and chips, and the steak. If you have a chance to experience this specific menu, take the opportunity. All in all, it's 190$ per person not including beverage choice. If you're looking to impress, this is the place for you. We spent spent close to 500$ (with tip and drinks).

We made a Fri night reservation so we could have the 10 course meal. Not every dish is going to hit perfectly, but it was a fantastic experience. My husband and adult son were with me and we each had our favorites and our least favorites - and they definitely weren't the same! The service was impeccable and the experience was fantastic.

The pear course. One of the better courses of the evening.

It pains me to write a review like this but I deem it necessary. Went to course this past Saturday with my wife as we were intrigued by the idea of doing a courses out meal. We've had excellent experiences at other places like Cafe Monarch that offer the same type of experience and was hoping to replicate. Unfortunately, course fell short of the mark. There were positives and negatives, but in the end the experience did not live up to the hype or the price. The service was great. All staff members were friendly and knowledgeable on the dishes. The drinks were very good, though we had 4-5 of the melon-infused vodka drinks and felt practically nothing so it seemed a bit light on the alcohol. We sat on the patio which was lovely. But at the end of the day, there was two key factors that were a big let down. First and foremost was the food. Of the 10 courses we had, 3-4 were good. The rest were either just "ok" or just not good. The second issue was the spacing of the courses. There was a lot of downtime between courses. We spent almost 3 hours at the restaurant and were pretty much over it by course 5 or 6. We've eaten at top restaurants all over the world, from Paris to Tokyo to NYC and beyond, and this was the single most expensive meal we've ever had. Perhaps it was an off night? Not sure, but for the price every aspect should have been exceptional, and it just wasn't.

For my dad Ken's 71st birthday, we booked a dinner at Course, a modern tasting-menu restaurant in Scottsdale that brings serious fine dining energy without feeling stuffy. The sleek patio dining area is shaded, surrounded by greenery, and has overhead misters that kept the Arizona heat totally manageable. We were comfortable the whole night, even as the sun set and the multi-course magic began. Now, before we get into the food, let's clear something up. Yes, my dad and I get mistaken for twins. He's 71 and somehow still aging in reverse. No complaints though, we'll take it. The $175 tasting menu was flawless. Every plate was beautifully presented and came with a clear, thoughtful explanation from the staff. They handled dietary preferences without a hitch. My mom skipped the raw oyster, and I passed on the strawberry and rhubarb dessert. The kitchen adjusted everything perfectly. Oyster with caviar, crème fraîche, and grape was a briny, silky opener with pops of acidity and richness. The swordfish with guacamole and aguachile came next, smoky and citrusy with guac foam for a fun twist. The manicotti with sea asparagus and lemon-garlic cream was rich but bright. The pasta was delicate, and the lemon cut through just right. English pea risotto with chicken oyster and hen of the woods mushroom was creamy, savory, and earthy with crispy mushroom for contrast. The white sea bass with yellow tomato and squash was perfectly seared with sweet tomato and subtle squash flavor. Lamb loin with fava bean and mint was juicy and paired with a crispy tart filled with mushroom duxelle and greens. The striploin with foie gras demi and baby vegetables had deep, beefy flavor with a velvety sauce that was bold without overpowering. Strawberry, rhubarb, hibiscus, pink pepper, and amaranth arrived as a sculptural dish that looked like it belonged in a modern art museum. Tart, floral, and just a bit spicy from the pink pepper. Not my preferred flavor combo, but it was beautifully done. Walnut with toast and honey cream was earthy, nutty, and warm with a cozy contrast of crunchy and smooth textures. The Pocky-inspired finale with chocolate, malt, vanilla, and cotton candy was playful and nostalgic. The kitchen also surprised my dad with a warm fig cake and candle. Thoughtful and subtly sweet. It was the perfect bite to end the night. Every drink, from creative mocktails to classic cocktails, was clean and beautifully presented. The pacing was spot-on. Just as we finished one dish, the next was explained and served without a long wait. Course is polished without being pretentious. It's a place where details matter, but the vibe is relaxed. Whether you're celebrating something big or just want an unforgettable dinner in Scottsdale, this spot gets it right. Just be ready. If your dad looks anything like mine, you might get called twins.

My wife and I have been to Course in the past for a special event. This time we went for their valentine day menu. We also chose to do the wine pairing. Wow! Everything was amazing! The wine pairing made the difference and elevated dinner. It was very pricey but worth it for a special occasion. Service was top notch.

This is a review for their Sunday brunch concept! We tried their most recent menu and it started off great but each course felt more ordinary as we moved along. I think we paid for fresh ingredients, great service, and an elevated atmosphere. Sitting inside is also much nicer than sitting on the patio imo since it was a regular patio right in between Pita Jungle and Coconuts Fish cafe. Course 1//Potato Latke: Started off strong with delicious salmon on a warm potato latke. The chive creme fraiche was yummy. Course 2//Tuna tataki: Tuna was fresh and well flavored. Not much done to the watermelon or jicama, felt like just cut slices. Course 3//Warm asparagus salad: Pretty good, but the creme fraiche felt really pretty similar to course 1. Flavors were nice and savory. Course 4//Shakshouka: This is where the dishes started going downhill for me. Felt and tasted ordinary for the most part. The bread crumbs did add a crunchy texture contrast which was nice. Course 5//Monte Cristo: Sadly, it was like a ham & cheese sandwich with fancy cheese. Tasted exactly what it looked like and folks at our table said they could make something similar at home. It was good, but not impressive or special. And the same creme fraiche showed up again. Course 6//Carnitas Huevos Rancheros: Another dish that made us wonder why this whole meal was $75/pp. It tasted fine. Course 7//Milk & Cereal: A fun play on cereal. Panna cotta was nice but again, simple when we expected something more for a highly rated restaurant like Course. Cereal came in a box and was a pie crust with some dried berries. Toys inside the box were fun. Overall, we enjoyed half the meal. Again, service is great. Friendly. Courses paced a bit far out so you have time to chat with company. We expected a bit more for the price point and would not recommend to big eaters as you might still be hungry after as portions were small. Friend mentioned the previous brunch menu was a bit more special.

I wasn't expecting this restaurant to be in a strip mall, we sat inside and the windows have some sort of glass cover preventing you from seeing the outside parking lot. We were greeted immediately and sat at our table. The server was nice and prompt. They let us do the 10 course meal with wine pairing even though it was a weekday. The wine pairing was mostly wine with one beer and one cider. We ordered a cocktail as well, but did notice there was a bug in there. By then we already had our first wine so elected not to have them remake it, although they offered several times. It wasn't a big deal but was surprised they didn't take it off the check, not did we ask. The meal itself, we've done a couple prefix meals in other states. I would say this one was good but I've definitely been to better ones. The courses were all beautifully presented, they all tasted good, a couple slightly on the salty side, but overall there wasn't one course that I left thinking about or wanting more of. Overall, it was a great date night and good experience.

You can tell right away this is the kind of place regulars come back to often. Food I didn't try much food, but I did have the cheese crisp and it was solid. Light, flaky, and more like an open-faced tostada than a quesadilla. It came topped with green chili and chicken, and everything worked well together. Based on that, I'd expect the rest of the menu to be consistent, even if it's not trying to reinvent the wheel. Service Service was efficient, especially considering how busy it was. No complaints here... you can tell the staff knows how to handle a full house and keep things moving. Ambience This is where the place stands out. The vibe feels like a food network designed a biker bar, but in a fun, not over-the-top way. It's also apparently a Kansas City Chiefs bar, which adds to the identity. There was a live band playing early 2000s rock hits, which kept the energy up. Crowd was friendly overall, very much a neighborhood crowd. Overall This isn't a destination bar, but it's a really solid go-to if you live nearby. Think of it as an elevated dive/sports bar with a strong local following. Good drinks, good energy, and a place that does what it's supposed to do well.
