Courtyard Cafe is a perfectly good and quaint little breakfast cafe that dishes up some solid breakfast options, and given it's proximity between my apartment and office, my guess is I'll be back many times over. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Courtyard Cafe can be a bit hard to find off of Sepulveda, but the service and atmosphere are worth it once you find it. The folks are friendly and the atmosphere quaint and comfortable. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? For just under $6.00 I got a very large breakfast burrito that could have easily filled two meals, and while breakfast burritos aren't a luxury item, this was particularly good value as was virtually everything else on the menu. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? My sausage breakfast burrito was good, but not among the best I've had. As you can probably see in other pictures, the ingredients in Courtyard Cafe's breakfast burritos remain notably separate, which is conducive to getting full bites of just hash brown or egg as opposed to having everything nice and bundled. On the topic of hash browns, these were a bit crisp in places, but soft elsewhere, and the eggs and sausage didn't add all too much to the equation. Again - good, but not great. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? I'll come back to Courtyard Cafe often, but the breakfast burritos are just okay. No Star Granted. read more

Ran across this place on Yelp after dropping the boyfriend off at LAX, only to find out that his flight got cancelled and moved to a flight 3 hours later. It's a little hard to find since it's behind some other buildings, but I think it's a great find! Conveniently close to the airport, and the plaza seems to have it's own parking structure. The prices are surprisingly low for the large portions and the service is wonderfully friendly. I ordered chilaquiles with sunny side up eggs and the eggs were perfectly cooked, and the bf ordered a lunch burrito which comes with green salsa and is pretty giant (both $5.50 each I believe) and they were both delicious. They also serve juice, freshly squeezed as soon as you order. It's not listed on the menu on the board, so I only found out they served it after seeing other customers order. Their freshly squeezed orange juice is so good ($3.50) and they also have carrot/orange juice as well. On the walls are shelves of packaged snacks (chips, cookies, candy, etc.) as well as fridges full of bottled drinks, convenient if you're on your way to the airport. Overall, I would definitely consider stopping by before/after going to LAX the next time I'm there! read more

This place is a gem. I come here for a customed out vegetarian breakfast burrito a few times a week, and the owner and staff are tremendously sweet and helpful. Very clean, and a nice array of made to order fresh squeezed juices. The Courtyard Cafe is not fancy, and more of a take out place than anything, but a lot of restaurants in LA could learn a thing or two from this place. They always treat you great here. read more

A gem in LAX area. This small restaurant has a great variety of food including daily specials. I visited on a monday and had their amazing chilaquiles with salsa verde and eggs. The crispy tortilla chips were fresh and just the perfect touch of crunchy with the lettuce, cheese and cream on top! Delicious! I should also mention their prices are a complete bargain. From tacos to sandwiches this place is pretty legit. They also have a killer spicy chicken pesto sandwich, and one of the more generously layered classic BLTs around. This place is like going over to your moms house to eat. The food is really cheap, the omlets are delicious and overall the staff is a nice family with a great attitude. I work in the building and try to eat here as much as I can. They really do make homecooked style meals for cheap. It's also a great perk that they are willing to bring my order up to my office, especially when I am really busy and don't have time to go down to get it. This was an AWESOME find - thanks Yelp! My daughter was flying out and we left early to beat traffic and wanted breakfast. This is super easy to get to on the way to LAX and the breakfast was soooo delicious. My daughter and hubs had the American Burrito (I thinks that's what it was called). I had a veggie omelette and the fresh squeezed OJ. Very good - extremely tasty and such a great price! My daughter even stocked up on snacks for her trip with the array available at the store. This place is hard to find. It's tucked away basically behind the UPS store, but you have to walk through the parking lot in the plaza to find it. That being said, the food was really great. It's the perfect pre/post LAX meal. They are very fast, but it's not fast food. I got a breakfast burrito with bacon. Paid 5.98 with tax. This thing was very large and flavorful. It had bacon, egg, hash browns, onions, maybe some bell peppers. Came with salsa verde was delicious, and ketchup packets. I ate all of it but I was very full afterward. The freshly squeezed juice looks awesome. I'll have to try that next time. read more

This is a decent little cafe for a quick breakfast near the airport. I stopped here on my way to LAX and was happy to find out they offer fresh green juices as well as many other combinations. It is a little tricky to find, you will not see it from the street. It's actually in the courtyard of the Business building next door to the Att&t store. Totally random how I ventured upon this place. Great place to grab a coffee if you're waiting to pick someone up at the airport. Free parking lot. No frills, looks like a cafe that caters to some of the businesses near by. Reminds me of a Trimana or something on the bottom level of an office building. They have hot lunches and daily specials and a TON of snacks and candy. Also they have quite a variety of drinks in their fridge section. Appears to be mom-pop operated. It is hard to find, but once you do.... 1) don't let the prices fool you. $5 goes a LONG way at this place. Go on Tuesday or Friday so you can order the chilaquiles. It's bomb. The chorizo burrito is pretty amazing and huge too. 2) they make their own juice here and you can pick whatever you want. I got spinach kale orange and carrot juice. 3) wear elastic pants, ridiculous bang for your buck. I was skeptical at first so I ordered two dishes. The staff at courtyard made a bet that I couldn't finish...I got about 90% through both dishes and now I'm in a food coma. All in all, a really good value for really good portioned food. Quiet spot for a quick bite. I got the Carne Asada burrito $5 Monday special. Pretty decent flavor and a good sized burrito. They put pico de gallo salsa, rice, beans, cheese, meat and lettuce in their burrito. It stays warm til the last bite. Definitely worth the $5. I want to try their fresh juices that I saw them making right on the counter. Lots of fresh fruit around and a good selection of munchies and drinks. Stop by here for a quick bite after our long flight, really happy I stumbled across it in yelp. Your best bet is to park in Ralph's and then walk there. It's located in a courtyard in between two buildings. This joint meets all my requirements, fresh food for a very reasonable price. The breakfast quesadilla was huge and couldn't be finished. I love their shredded crispy hash brown that they put in their breakfast items. I saw on yelp people ordered veggie options but for some reason i didn't see it on the menu, and when my mom ordered her quesadilla all the options were meat. I ended up getting The chilaquiles with egg which was delicious as well! The cashier warned me it would be spicy and it definitely was, and I love to eat spicy. They also have freshly squeezed orange juice. Wished it was a little colder but still delicious and super fresh. They have lunch options as well. Ive been coming here for 2-3 years now and am a huge fan of this establishment. Best dish: Chicken Pesto Sandwich!!! This sammy is spiced up with jalapeño pesto like you wouldnt even believe! So tasty. Its on a super soft sandwich roll and everyone loves it. Their fresh juices are amazing that they make right in front of you. Carrot, Orange, apple, pineapple, spinach, Beet, banana... whatever they have they will throw it in for only $3! Their hispanic/ mexican dishes are great. I love the pozole soup, the birria plate they offer as their special some days, and their tacos al pastor. On Wednesdays their spaghetti plate is massive and delicious also. Now - I must say that sometimes they charge you different amounts when you order the same thing...which is weird.... but the prices are so low that it doesnt bother me at all!! This place is right next to where I work and I am very impressed with the quality of their food. The price is very reasonable. All items on the menu are priced under $8, that is unless you get a bunch of add ons. I've tried the chorizo breakfast burrito, the all meat quesdilla (probably the biggest quesdilla I've ever seen). It's filled with ham, bacon, onions, I asked for sour cream. It was totally satisfying. The only thing is the employees aren't super nice. The customer service is a little iffy, maybe 3 stars at best. They forgot my water, never ask if you want a refill, it feels like a quick and dirty transaction eating here. No one asks you how you are, I think the guy said one sentence to me. "if you order now it takes 45 minutes to receive your food, we are backed up"...... I waited. I guess it was worth it. read more

Love this place. Good food at a really great price. Mostly sandwiches, breakfast, and Mexican food, but check out their daily specials where they'll throw in a few curveballs (chicken curry with rice, spaghetti, etc.). Custom orders are no problem either. Highlights from the menu include the chicken pesto sandwich, breakfast burrito, and the torta. My only complaint is that they don't have fries. I'm almost tempted to buy them a fryer to rectify this issue. The people who own and run this place are warm, kind people. Help out a small business! read more
