Sadly the days of the best coffee in town are done! The brown and white is no longer what it once was. In my recent visit the taste has really changed -it was very bitter, I tossed the entire thing after two sips and definitely not worth the price. Additionally- In my recent visit they informed me they changed their system from whatever Cloud9 used. I had a gift card that had about $40-50 left on it from Cloud 9, they told me I can get a drink today and they would take my card from me as they no longer supported them and we could not use them again. Pretty sad to not have some sort system in place to know the balance on these cards to give people what was theirs! read more

This place is adorable! Let me paint a picture for you . As you walk in you see you coffee area simple black and white and clean, very clean! The decor is absolutely gorgeous! They have a beautiful emerald green couch and lots of cute tables with brass accents. The place is cozy and cute perfect place to leisurely sip coffee. The coffee is tasty and sweet. I ordered the Black and Tan the presentation was pretty and the coffee was full of sweet warmth; it made my feel like I was snuggled in my favorite blanket. You can also purchase gorgeous plants which I found outstanding because the shop is a cross of delicious coffee and gorgeous plants. This is a very nicely appointed place to enjoy a cup of coffee. It's located in the ground floor of an office building. You may have some difficulty telling where it is from the outside because there is no sign on the building for it. Just go inside the building and it's located right off the lobby on the ground floor right next door to the Spectrum office. My only disappointment here was that there was a very limited selection of bakery items to purchase along with my coffee. I ordered a coffee cake muffin, and to be honest I didn't think it was actually very good. This place is really more for the coffees. read more

I enjoy a good iced coffee that isn't too sweet so they made my coffee with half the sweetness and it was delicious. I have been following this little shop on Instagram for what feels like forever after it was recommended to me, but never actually went in until today because I was intimidated by trying to find it in the concrete jungle lol. It is tucked away in a little corner of the Stockdale towers building, but its worth the adventure to find it! The cafe has a lot of seating options, including chairs, stools, and even a couch, despite it being rather small. It looks like it would be really cozy to curl up and study or ready a book. They also offer outdoor patio seating. The coffee was bold and yummy! They offer several baked goods. For my nut allergy besties - be aware that they did warn me that all the items are prepared on shared surfaces, but the staff was very friendly and didn't seem annoyed when I asked which baked goods actually contained nuts. The staff also informed me that you can bring in your own cup and they are happy to prepare your drink in it for you! I will definitely be back!! read more

Ever walk into a place and just feel like you're in a special area just for you? This is the vibe I got walking in for the first time. The aesthetic feels like it was curated JUST for me (am I that predictable?!) with the colors and decor. It's also VERY quiet. Even the barista who helped us with our order was so gentle and quiet with her voice. I felt like it stepped into a puffy cloud of peace! They have decaf options, so I got a Decaf brown & white which was incredible! We also tried an orange cranberry scone, a cake pop, a chocolate milk and a black and white brownie (I think it was called?) everything was DIVINE. This place is so cute and trendy, and they love the environment!! They have a cup policy where you pay $0.25 for a glass jar that your drink comes in, but get your money back when you bring the jar back. I love the effort they are putting in as a company to reduce our carbon footprint! The new cafe inside Stockdale Tower was super cute! Since it is so popular, it might be hard to find a seat especially if you're with a big crowd. Luckily, I found a cute, small table perfect for working. They also have tables on the outside patio if you're a fan of the summer heat. WiFi worked great! No complaints about the atmosphere. I ordered a Coffee Julep which is a basil and mint flavored with almond milk. It was so creamy and the flavor was well balanced. Super delicious. I had a recent experience getting to watch a lot of behind the scenes at this cozy little coffee shop, and I must say I'm impressed. First, the service is phenomenal. Everyone was greeted, and with a smile, by someone on the team. I love seeing repeat clients visit the shop, and I know when they do because they ladies that work there will say, "we will have that blonde Cafe latte (I don't remember the drink... they did) in just a minute!" They know their customers and they strive to bring happiness with what they do... even when it's a busy hectic day. Let me speak on that next.... These girls worked nonstop from open to close. There wasn't a moment they weren't doing something. If it slowed down, they were cleaning and sprucing the place up to ensure the next guests had just as good of an experience. So I say to the ladies (Katie, Morgan, Malia, Natalie, Lauren, ... I know I'm forgetting someone...) job WELL done. Also this isn't the typical chain coffee places where you get the same dry service and same basic drink 365 days of the year. I love that they host themed weeks where new ideas to try are introduced. The ideas are ever-flowing with trying new flavors and combinations. And while I know it gets very busy during the themed weeks, it's to be expected. People get excited for freshness! Again... I watched these workers pump out probably hundreds of orders in a 4 hour window.... and when you think of the various changes you can request that's no easy task. It takes time, but it's worth the wait. And if you haven't the time to wait they also have the ability to order ahead. This is the true genius that if taken advantage of during theme weeks will have you winning all day long. Fantastic atmosphere, great freshness, amazing service. Decided to drop by while driving through Bakersfield and wow are we glad we chose here. The reviews are raving for a reason. This is definitely in the top 5 of coffee shops that I have visited in terms of taste, interior, and vibes. We got a hot lavender latte with almond milk and an iced Cloudine latte with almond milk. Both are absolutely delicious. The lavender: you can tell it isn't made with the typical gross artificial lavender syrups. I read somewhere that they make theirs in house and you really can taste the difference. The scent is so floral, not soapy and so natural, earthy and yet subtle. The Cloudine: this also has a great balance of the coffee "roast" earthy taste, sweetness of the vanilla, and the vibrancy of the peach. The peach doesn't take over and is more subtle as well. The peach ring is a nice touch to enhance the experience with a hit of sweet "peach". I love the little touches of the "sealed with a kiss" heart to cover the hot latte and the peach ring to cover the open hole of the iced latte. The interior is well thought out with a balance of the message they are going for in terms of feeling heavenly and also in a place that promotes sustainability and nature (when you see their choice of products/merch, plants, and even the cute flower wall with flowers associated with the Bible verses). There's also outdoor seating which is surrounded with vibrance~ The choice is music suits the cafe well as well which brings the place a feeling of peace and chill~ The staff are also very kind and add to the experience. :) I wish we had a location near where I live... I have been going here for a very long time and since the change in ownership everything has been going downhill. The lattes are always inconsistent now which should not be the case if they are gonna keep raising the prices I used to pay 6.75 for the same medium latte and now the prices are inconsistent as well sometimes I pay $7, 7.50, $7.78 its always different and they are being cheap they recently downgraded the large from 24oz to 20oz and still charging the same price is crazy to me. I always get oatmilk due to being lactose and the large (20oz) I ordered came out to $8. I am disappointed, need to find another coffee shop read more

I'm so glad to have come across this adorable coffee shop! It's so aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. And, the staff is incredible friendly. I ordered the brown and white with oat milk and it was so creamy and delicious. You can really taste the white chocolate topped with brown sugar. This is definitely a must try drink. As an avid coffee drinker, I usually need a bit more caffeine boost throughout the day. I had four shots added to my latte and it really helped me stay productive! Tons of seating and comfy chairs, cute decorations, and relaxing music. If we lived in town this would be somewhere I would want to visit every week - great spot for working or hanging out with a friend or for a little coffee date. I got the Cloudine which was yummy! But we also got an orange chocolate chip scone and that was INCREDIBLE. I have never had a scone with such a nice fluffy texture. The flavor was great and there was no shortage of chocolate chips. Love their Harry Potter week! So fun!!! They have decor and all sorts of magical creations the week of Halloween! Also love all of their cool drink creations! The brown and white is one I order on the reg but a couple days ago I tried a chaider--chai tea with apple cider. Whoa!! It was holiday happiness in a cup! They also delicious baked goods and a beautifully curated gift shop! Love the Rifle Paper Co products and all of their cute house plants. When I first discovered cloud 9 I became obsessed with their coffee and also how friendly the staff was.Since getting new owners it has changed tremendously the coffee isn't the same anymore a worker told me they had changed the recipe for my favorite drink the "caramel blondie" and it's just not the same anymore. Also the staff isn't the best compared to the crew that worked at Cloud 9. Overall I don't recommend this place anymore my coffee is always so bitter as well. read more

During a recent trip to CA, my husband and I stopped here for some coffee. I'll admit, I saw the photos of the s'mores latte on Yelp and didn't read any of the reviews. So when we pulled up, I was shocked it was a food truck! My husband joked that only I would drive all the way to CA for a coffee food truck. (It's funny because it's true.) Unfortunately, they didn't have the s'mores latte (seasonal) but they did have a honey/lavender latte, so I ordered one iced. It was a little on the sweet side (due to the honey) but it was also complex (thank you lavender). My husband didn't like it but that's okay. I did. Overall, it was a cute coffee truck, the barista was friendly, and the drink was good. If I was in the area, I'd definitely go back. read more

I love cloud 9 overall I enjoy how pretty and clean it is, and I'm a big coffee drinker so I come pretty often for my coffee fix their coffee beans are really good and the lavender lattes are a big favorite of mine. Unfortunately the last time I went I was pretty sad after because my boyfriend and I came in and we both got a coffee and I had an idea to order another coffee with no ice to save it in my fridge for later because I have to get up for my job at 4am and i don't get home till night so I wouldn't be able to swing by for a coffee and the ladies that did my order were being judgy and and I while was waiting for my drink, I overheard them talking about how I didn't want ice in it in a rude way amongst themselves and I was just disappointed from that experience. This is a hidden gem in the Stockdale Tower! The vibe is amazing with black and whites and a way cool and comfy green couch. My daughter ordered a green Mocha Late and cloud 9. Drinks were made perfect and the cloud nine drink comes with a cool sweet peach candy! Yummy. I absolutely love the flowers with the scripture verses of the Bible. Please come support this local amazing business. And they serve delicious food, kind of sad that they're gluten-free food was out of stock but for those who have allergies or on a gluten-free diet this is the place to be. Pricing was decent $4-5.
