It's the most salty boiling seafoods I ever had. No garlics flavor at all. Fried oysters are so salty. My sister is not picky eater and she loves oysters. But she refused to eat this. She is visiting me from Bay Area. We both are craving "Boiling Crabs!" I had never in my entire almost 40 years of my life had this bad seafoods. $56 for no flavor and high blood pressure? This is my second time trying this place. Let me just start by saying I usually don't do reviews. I am also born and raised from MD. I love crabs! The first time I got a dozen crabs. They were mushy. They did not taste fresh, tasted like they were re-warmed up. I let it go. This was two years ago When I first moved here. I then decided to order crabs straight from MD. Second time, last night, I said let me try one last time. I got there exactly 17 min after I placed the call for 6 Jumbo. When I got there they handed me the bag, I said this is really light, are you sure these are jumbos. They replied yes. I walked outside and talked to someone and something told me to look at the crabs. They were still light in color and Luke warm. They had not been properly cooked. I asked them to cook again. She comes back out 10 min later and they and hot and you can actually smell them. The bag still light. I get home and the crabs were trash. They gave me 8 instead of 6 crabs. All were empty except one. They most disgusting crabs ever. You know a crab will be empty when the meat comes out through the leg. As a bonus I asked for a sample of the crab soup, whew it was so salty. Let's represent MD better please. I just called and was told I got $40 back despite paying $78.03 My last two pics won't load. On a quick visit back to Vegas, I mentioned in passing to my parents that I was craving seafood. The natural instincts of my step mother was, "oh let's hit crab corner." It's been a while since I moved away so while unfamiliar with the joint, I was super excited to try it! Walking up to the place, you can tell the owner loves the Baltimore Ravens! The place is dressed in tons of football decor, primarily purple gear. There are tons of TVs around, and lots of seating: bar area, dining indoor areas and outdoor areas as well. This spot seems like an ideal dinner spot for the Sunday/Thursday night games! The staff was nice and cordial; our server was also the bartender so seemed knowledgable on the drink options. To start, we fell into the "Don't Be Crabby (Happy) Hour" timeframe of 2-6pm daily. On HH menu, we got 24 oysters in a half shell for $1 each, as well as a dozen of the Char-Grilled Oysters for $2 a piece. The oysters were fresh and delicious. My fave of the two were the char grilled ones! 5 stars for sure! It's topped with citrus garlic butter and parmesan...soooo flavorful. For our meal, we shared the Garlic Steamer Sampler platter which was set at their Market Price, around $50 or so. This platter comes with 1lb of blue crab, 1lb of snow crab, 1lb of dungeness crab, 1/2 lb of peel & eat shrimp with 2 ears of corn cut up. I ended up ordering another lb of dungeness crab (around $30 if memory serves me right) and few other sides (garlic bread, potato salad and white rice) for $2.99 each. All in all, the platter was steamed and cooked in the garlic butter, so of course everything came super flavorful. I think ordering another lb of crab was not only good for portions but getting it without the garlic butter helped break up the oil feeling you get after eating all of that butter. I love this restaurant. I live in Southern California, and we have no Maryland seafood spots. If we did, they would charge about twice what this place charges. The food is WONDERFUL. Don't be silly and order what you can get anywhere else ... go for the blue crabs, the soft-shells, or the "Crabby Cobb" (LOADED with JUMBO LUMP crab meat). I came here a few months back, the crabs didn't have very much meat. I mentioned it to the service, who was very nice, she offered to discount a crab. Which was okay, but it's not that I didn't want to pay for the food, I'd prefer to have an additional crab. Either way, I came back with my kids to give them a second chance and it was the same. Not enough meat in these crab legs. And for the price of market price, there really should be more meat, or adjust the price. I did give them a second chance, but we were disappointed again. One of my favorite restaurants in the Las Vegas area. First off, only place you can get quality blue crab this side of the Mississipp. Everything else is Stellar as well, including the service (shout out to George). Happy hour is the real star, catch 'em then and your looking at $1 off beers and $1 oysters on the half, $2 dollar for the char-grilled OTH. The chargrilled are to die for. It's sad, because I think this place makes pretty good food. But the customer service is horrible! I ordered a crabcake sandwich. It came, it was beautiful and tasted so good. We also ordered fish and chips. But we only got fish! I ordered clam chowder, coleslaw and garlic butter on the side, and paid extra for each one of them. Really wondering where our chips were for our fish. When I called, nobody could help me. They actually told me because I ordered other items, which I paid for, that the chips were not then included. Happy hour is GREAT here. Lots of good deals on food and drinks, the options are endless. I definitely recommend the lobster roll, although at times could be just a little bit salty, still a good choice. I ordered the Shrimp Po boy, oysters on the half shell, and the crab cakes. Shrimp po boy was okay (average), oysters were questionable, but the crab cakes were amazing! Food 4/5 The service was great KAT was my server and took care of me and showed great hospitality. The place was fairly decent and the food was enough for 4 people. We ended up getting the blue crab, Alaskan crab, and snow crab and additional pound of shrimp for $135+. The server who helped was I believe Jacob. He didn't wear a name tag but I saw his name on the receipt. It was hot that day and we were placed under the ceiling fan and A/C. The only thing I didn't like is they opened the doors and flies started coming into the restaurant. I'm not sure why because it was very hot. It was triple digits. The server was attentive. This was a unique restaurant - cool Maryland theme. - Chesapeake soft shell crab platter with homemade Old Bay potato chips and homemade potato salad. There was tartar sauce and lemons with the dish.I was really happy with my meal. The crabs were nice and delicately crispy. The potato salad was one of the best I'd had. It tasted very fresh and had a nice crunch from celery, I think. Those Old Bay chips were very tasty. (Note that there's a large shaker of Old Bay seasoning on the tables - tasted great on the potato salad.) - Fried oysters with coleslaw and hush puppies. Like the crabs, the oysters were nicely fried and not greasy. The coleslaw was good, especially if you don't like too- creamy ones. The hush puppies were small, round, and crispy. I can chew on the $4 just fine, it's still bigger than the one in the supermarket. Rest assured , This is not froze or dead crabs, they are live here around and i am impressed. First time here. Now with so many seafood places opening up its always nice to try a place on Yelp that we never tried before. We were very pleased at how much we really loved everything we ordered. The portions were good, it was very tasty and the prices was okay. The only thing that we all agreed on (we had a party of 6) was that the service was not great. Our waitress seemed to be busy stocking cups at the soda machine, talking to people in the front and not very attentive to us. We always had to wave her down. Once we wanted to order more of something we had and we all looked around the room for her and she saw us looking at her and instead of her coming to the table she flashed the "thumbs up" sign... lol - needless to say - with better customer service I would have gave them 5 stars. read more
