Not good experience here. I have been to the palm many times. The food has always been ok. Service has been good. We had a group of 11 and every single person had issues with their meal or the service. The food is below average from what I have previously experienced here. I would not go back or recommend eating here. The ambiance is nice on the beach with a Sunset but the live music is also very loud and you end up yelling to the person next to you, we sat as far as possible on the outside deck away from the band and still were yelling to each other. When the band is not playing the background music is not bad. The bathrooms are dirty also though it is a busy place. read more

Great location. Haven't been here in forever. Forgot how beautiful it is. Wish you could see more than umbrellas but that's not the restaurant's fault. I ordered their stacked nachos with chicken, my wife had the mahi mahi and my son had the kid's cheeseburger. The kid burger is shockingly small. I think it barely qualifies as a slider. And there's just one. He liked it and ate it - but trust me when I say it's tiny. My "stacked" nachos are supposed to be a large pile of chips with everything else. Well, definitely wasn't much of a pile. They tasted pretty good but the toppings were lacking (a good amount of sour cream tho) and there was this weird liquid at the bottom (water? Juice?). There were only a few slices of jalapeño and not much chicken. My wife's dish was mostly good. A good amount of fish, well cooked. She was very happy. But the rice was horrible, crazy over cooked so it's just a mess of mushy rice. Service was good. Prices were good. Just quality and portions for the 2 dishes mentioned weren't what we expected. The fries were very delicious and it had that texture where as soon as you look at them you know they're going to be delicious. The rum runner was pretty weak. Delicious but weak. I'll have to come back and try other food options to give a true review This is just a nice haven when you want to escape the sun and have a quick bite. They have dine in options with spaced out seating, although some of the spacing looked questionably close so I'd be careful with that if I were you. read more

It'd been 25 years since I'd last been to Clearwater Beach, so I wanted to find a bar & grill by the beach that had craft beer choices. After researching online, I decided on this place. I wasn't disappointed. I was by myself, so I sat at the bar. A friendly bartender named Lexi was working and she did a great job. For food I had the beach burger with fries. The burger came with mushrooms, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and onions. Delicious. The fries were good as well. To drink I had the Beach Blonde Ale, an IPA, and finished it off with a margarita. Lexi makes a great one. The atmosphere was lively. Som live music was provided by a guy in the corner playing an acoustic guitar and singing classic rock songs. He was very entertaining. The back wall was opened up, giving a great view of the beach and water. It also allowed a breeze to come inside, making a hot and humid day bearable. If you're looking for a beach spot to have lunch or dinner, this is the spot. read more

Drinks - rum runners - strong and tasty! Gator bites appetizer only ok, some good sized chunks but lots of tiny pieces that were mostly batter. They tasted good but what fried batter doesn't? Not much actual gator in the bites... the grouper sandwiches were generous and tasty, we ordered both the fried and grilled, both were delicious. The burger was good, ordered medium well, it came medium, but it was eaten and enjoyed. We also had the California wrap and the grilled chicken sliders which were gobbled up by a 83 year old and a 13 year old, so yes - very good! I would be remiss if I didn't mention our VERY personable sever, Sarah... she kept up with my brother who loves to joke with a young attractive server! 'Nuff said... Alexa, our bartender/server awesome! TQ overheard us talking about Old Baye for our Eat & Peel Shrimp & took it upon himself to grab it before we asked for it. We found his 'Forty Niners Suck' name tag hilarious. Elias & the whole team of bartenders were fun, friendly & relaxing. Great personalities & no wonder why, they're working right on the beach w/ a gorgeous view of the ocean & sunset w/ live music from 1 to 10p daily. Our bartender at Jimmy's Crow Nest once again recommended another fav of ours while in Clearwater & within walking distance. The Eat & Peel Shrimp was delish! I also ordered the The Black & Bleu Taco $5.50, marinated grilled skirt steak, lemon crema cabbage slaw, pico de gallo, bleu cheese, avocado and cilantro. It was good, but when on the beach I need to stick to seafood. Drinks were constantly coming & overall a lovely atmosphere. Uber comes directly to you & there are lots of places to walk to or get the free Florida ride to. Bobby James was a nice touch of live music to our already awesome time. Went to the Palm Pavilion on a Wednesday night back in January. We got seated very quickly and were waited on in an instant. Very friendly staff (how can you not be friendly working on the beach along with great live music playing) and our waitress was very attentive. The live music was classic rock (right up my alley) which was almost the cherry on top. I ordered the Palm Burger and it was FABULOUS. My girlfriend had the palm Grouper sandwich and she loved it as well. A little tip when ordering a sandwich or burger, ALWAYS upgrade to island fries as your side for 1.25$ more. They're a little spicy but so tasty. Another tip, if you plan on trying to go the Palm Pavilion during spring break, don't waste your time. I tried going twice in March and each time there was a 2+ hour wait. Overall, great food, great atmosphere. Most definitely will be back (unless there's a long wait). read more

A Clearwater Beach staple that's been around forever. There's an expansive open air deck overlooking the sand north and west, with a rectangular bar in the middle, plus inside seating. It's literally on the beach, so wet, sandy attire and flip-flops is the norm. We were chased off the beach by a late morning thunderstorm but since it looked like it was a passing shower decided to grab a bite to stay dry till we could get back on the beach. Delicious choice! The bloody mary was outstanding. A well blended mix of vodka and spicy tomato juice with a dash of Tabasco and the rim glazed with Old Bay. The garnish made the drink - a full sized skewer with a grape tomato, peppercini, green olive, shrimp and big chunks of mortadella and salami. Way fancier than you'd expect at a beachside spot, and it was spot on! Next up were some Nachos Beach Style. This is a mountain of tortilla chips garnished with corn salsa, black beans, topped with melted cheese and lemon crema, a few dollops of sour cream and some sliced fresh jalapeño and cilantro. We added sliced grilled chicken. There's more than enough for 2. This is finger food, so forget about being neat when eating it. And it's excellent. Crunchy chips and a little heat from the salsa, it's a fiesta in every bite. A great spot right on the beach for some good food and well-mixed drinks. Great spot for a beverage and a bite! Came here on our last night on our most recent trip to Clearwater. It did not disappoint. We came before dinner...we'll call it happy hour-ish. Nicest location directly on one of the prettiest beaches. Live music many afternoons and evenings. Visited on a Sunday between 1 & 5 PM when Ryan Pope performs regularly. Love the new improved menu. Enjoyed the Sunset Salad. Loved the fresh strawberry slices, chopped walnuts, raw red pepper slices, sauteed onions, goat cheese and mesclun greens. Liked the sweet raspberry dressing which I ordered on the side. Ordered it with grilled grouper. Grouper was very fresh and well prepared but had an odd texture which I believe grouper does have. I think I should stick to grouper sandwiches in the future and order salmon or seared tuna on the yummy Sunset Salad. Unsweetened iced tea was tasty and refreshing. I had a terrible experience with this restaurant. I purchased a $100 giftcard online as a birthday gift. After purchase, it showed the purchase as "under review" for several hours. I called the restaurant for help. They said they couldn't help me because the purchase is done through a third party vendor. I asked for contact information for the third party vendor and they said they don't have it. I asked if they could cancel the transaction and they said no. Now I do not have the gift card and am out $100. The manager said there is nothing they can do. He was extremely rude. I will never recommend this restaurant. read more

My friends and I stopped in at the Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill on Mother's Day. We were at the beach hanging out and some friends came to meet up with us for drinks. It was busy but not too crowded. We waited a few minutes to order our first drink. But after introducing ourselves to the bartender he kept an eye on us for the remainder of our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. There was live music which was entertaining and helped set the mood for our beach day. We hung out on the patio which was huge. The bar is enclosed so there is seating inside and outside for the bar. We had a few appetizers which were quite tasty. The gator bites were my favorite! The atmosphere was lovely and the beer was ice cold. read more

We have been coming to the Palm Pavilion for years, and has always been good. went with a group of 7 today being very excited that they have finally been able to open due to damage from last year's hurricanes. wow, so disappointing. The service was slow, refills on drinks and water were non existent and the food came out in shifts over a 5-10 minute period. most in our party were happy with their order, but my steak and cheese came out cold and inedible. about 10 minutes later my now microwaved sandwich came out. Finally, my second drink arrived as I was taking my last bite only to find that it was prepared wrong. manager refused to come see me, waiter did not remove the untouched drink from the bill. horrible experience and will NEVER be back. read more

Love her! Ordered the fish on rice with scallops and shrimp skewer. I wish we had more of the skewer it was flavored super well! (blackened) Also had a cup of clam chowder, that wasn't my favorite i didn't finish it. I would suggest a sourdough bowl or at least oyster crackers and a light paprika or allspice. Such a super fun stop while on vacation. It was pouring gown rain and it was still a great time! We sat at the bar and had some great cocktails. The very knowledgeable staff made recommendations and we tried a few new things. Even though we ate right before arriving, we saw someone else with nachos and couldn't resist. The nachos did not disappoint! The entire menu looks great! Side note I have a seafood allergy and they serve a lot of seafood. I told them this when ordering the nachos and they truly seemed concerned to make sure my food wasn't cross contaminated, which is always nice. (I say this because some places get annoyed you came).
