Can't even begin to explain my hate for this specific location. The managers are horrible. They treat their staff, especially the minors, like dogs. When asked to cut hours (in regards to minors) because they are working nearly 40 hour weeks on top of school, the managers laugh in their faces and tell them they are preparing them for the real world. One previous employee had to quit because they were failing a class due to the insane amount of hours that the managers refused to cut. They are extremely degrading and are not willing to work with minors even though they claim to have "flexible schedules." In reference to one individual turning 18, one of the managers said that they were going to make him their "bitch" and they were excited because they would no longer have to give him breaks between shifts (in regards to working doubles). This has been an issue with multiple minors working there. They will schedule this one girl in particular 6-7 days a week with doubles piled on the weekends. She will work from opening to closing with only a 30 minute break. In order for any minors in an establishment to succeed, these dense managers need to wrap their head around the fact that our schedules are NOT concrete. We are high school students, not machines. It's becoming an issue that they have begun relying more and more on minors than finding adults, which is damaging the minors in the establishment from succeeding in their studies. While we are on the subject of school work, a manager once called me DURING SCHOOL HOURS to ask if I would push my availability later than what it was. When I responded saying that I could not, I was asked if my school work was more important than the company. Managers will also ask us for the specifics as to why we request days off which is a total invasion of our privacy. I could go on and on for days about how awful it is here. Also, your salads are made with bare hands that are not washed. Gross, right? Overall, I would rather pan fry my insides than have to continue on in this establishment. I placed a to go order here. When I got home we were missing 3 things out of our order and a steak that we had ordered medium well was cooked not even rare it was completely raw looking like it had been seared for literally 2 seconds. We called in to let them know of the missing components and the steak that was under done. I agreed to have them re cook the steak and give us the missing parts of our order. I went and picked them up and came back home where I cut into my steak and it was under done AGAIN! It was a little bit more cooked- Rare instead of raw but not nearly to the medium well that I ordered. Not wanting to call again and my family and myself being hungry I had to microwave this for a full 3 minutes just to get it to the medium well I ordered it at! I was here in a group with 100 other people. I expected it to take at least three hours before everybody was served and had finished eating, but in reality it took only about an hour and a half. My food was also just as good as it always is when I go to other Cracker Barrels, which shocked me as well, since I figured it would suck because the kitchen staff was in such a rush. My family and I ate here today for breakfast. We were very disappointed. I ordered the Hershel breakfast. Came with 2 eggs, bacon sausage and grits and country ham. The ham was the size of my palm. Very dry. My hash brown casserole was hard and crunchy. The worst was the grits. They were very runny and watery. No salt added either. Very gross. I had her take back the grits twice thinking maybe i just got the bottom of the barrel left over. They need to do over their recipe for grits. Won't be going back to Cracker Barrel anytime soon. This is a review for pretty much every Cracker Barrel I've been to in my lifetime, which is a lot. The location in Canton, Georgia is, by far, the one that I have been to the most in the last few years. This is absolutely one of my favorite places to dine. No, it's not fancy, it's Southern and looks like it was decorated by the guys from American Pickers, but I love it! Any place that offers breakfast all day is cool with me and my sensitive gut. Their lunch and dinner offerings are also very much in the "comfort food" arena. Every Cracker Barrel also includes the added bonus of a delightful store as you walk in. I am often tempted to take a peek while waiting for my meal, but, inevitably, they are so quick with the food that I only have a few minutes to browse. Their complimentary biscuits are sublime and I highly recommend the potato breakfast casserole and the macaroni and cheese. Yummy! So, pull off that Highway and check them out. You deserve a rest and a delicious meal. read more

My husband and I love Cracker Barrell overall. However, this one in particular, just gave us too much trouble. We ordered our food to-go in advance (an hour in advance) before arriving at the restaurant and the young woman on the phone taking our order was snappy and quite rude. We arrived at the restaurant about 30 min after placing our order and our order hadn't even been put in yet. They insisted we pay first and after we did our order took an additional 30 min for our food to be ready. We kept asking how much longer it would take and the same girl that took our order continuously told us that she "guessed they forgot about our order". The staff ignored us after-words and continued to seat people every ten minutes. When we finally received our food it was cold and we were missing a couple of things. The manager proceeded to do absolutely nothing about it. Would not recommend. read more

Excellent service from Steven. We came here about 4 days ago and I have a lot of mixed feelings about this place. We were a party of 15 people, I understand it's not easy to sit so many people together, but the salon was kind of empty and I even told the hostess we didn't mind to seat separably, that we could seat on 4 separate tables but they still made us wait over 10 minutes because a big group was leaving and they were going to accommodate us on that specific table. Then, we were served by two waiters, one of them was Steven, which was the most attentive and friendly waiter ever. He made sure we had refills of either water or juices or whatever but our glasses were never empty, he came several times to make sure we were happy with our meals and he picked up our dirty dishes as soon as we finished. The other waiter was not good, he had an bad attitude and not courteous. The food was good, no mistakes on any orders, we loved their dumplings, they are sooooooo yummy. read more

We got seated & sat for 12 minutes with no acknowledgement of us. 4 servers walked right by us and saw we were sitting there and didn't say a word, we decided to leave and go to Waffle House because they give better service, as sad as that is. By far the worst dining experience I have ever had within a Cracker Barrel. Upon arrival, one hostess was going to take my family to our seats, they had several open. The other hostess stopped her and told her we couldn't be seated there due to a baby. I could see the computer screen she was working off from and ended up seated 10 minutes later in the same seat location but in the very back section of the restaurant. After they seated parties of 4 for 10 consecutive minutes before seating my family, we placed our orders. Mine never changes. After the waittress, Amy explained they weren't out of anything(apparently a common problem). Placed our orders, 10 minutes later she comes back to say that they were out of one of our orders. We had to change orders. We changed to fish. The fish that came was absolutely nuked on one side and half raw on the other side. The hash brown casserole was so burnt and dry, it was like they were attempting to make jerky out of it. Whoever played my food placed the fish directly into another side, making bad, poorly cooked food even worse. This is my family favorite restaurant and I cannot believe what a train wreck everything here is. The only redeeming thing was our server not being awful. Food was vastly subpar, almost sickening. Making my family wait on a seat to sit in the back of the restaurant is somewhat offending as my 18 month old was inside out of open aisles, never made a disturbance and yet treated like that. read more
