The host team told us 30mins to an hour. Okay not there fault but there are many open tables..... whatever I will overlook that. We finally get seated and we sit at the table with NOTHING for 30 mins. No water, no silverware, not a single employee even smiled at us let alone speak to us. We finally get a table and the waitress tells us sorry they didn't tell me you were my table. At this point we are starving and we have children. We order drinks apps and food right away. apps never show up. food comes out. we still don't have silverware or napkins lol. So we wait patiently for the waitress to rerun. she never does....lol. we started eating with fingers. apps come out after asking 3 times. they are so gross! we ask for manager. she takes 1 app off but doesn't offer anything else. This particular Cracker Barrel just continues to struggle with basic service. It was 7:50pm and the place was basically empty, especially in terms of a Cracker Barrel on the highway. We were seated by the manager on duty, Kim. When we asked for a different seat, Kim caught a serious attitude and sarcastically stated if we sat in the place we requested, "It would be a while before she gets to you." So, we stayed put. 5 mins go by. 10 mins go by. 15 MINUTES go by and a waiter comes and we immediately asked for a manager. We didn't even have water. At this point, we decided we are not eating here. After 7 minutes of waiting on KIM, we asked a different server for the manager and after another 5 mins Kim finally comes out and STILL had an attitude. The place was even emptier at this point. Had never heard of this place but a very good friend of mine treated me to this place and I tried the country fried steak.Cooked to perfection.Lightly seasoned and delicious .However being from the Oakland county area no telling when we'll get to make this drive again.The place has a really warm home feeling about it.And would be a great place for the family after church.If you haven't had it already I'd definitely say give it a try it's worth it. read more

Let's just start with the fact of the service was horrible. I ordered all 3 of my children the same thing but yet when it came out all 3 of my children had different meals one child only received French fries. With my meal I ask for sausage and received bacon, I might also add the fact that not one time did my waitress returned to my table to ask if me or my children needed a refill on our drinks. When I brought the issue up to a manager I was told I should have said something sooner and that was the extent of the help that I had received. We stopped in for a late lunch. The restaurant was moderately busy. The server came to our table right away. She wad friendly and efficient. The meat loaf with mashef potatoes and gravy was good, as always. I have CB 4 stars because of the way they advertised their new kale and spinach salad. They charge 2.79 extra, however, the picture of this salad looks like it is as big as a side salad. But it's not. It comes in a cole slaw dish. read more

I really enjoy coming to Cracker Barrel only for the shopping.....but my husband loves the pancakes, so it's the best of both worlds. This Cracker Barrel is nice, the country store is awesomely stocked with great items and a killer clearance section. This was my second trip to a Cracker Barrel and the very first trip for my husband and girls ages 4 and 2. The kids were delighted by the general store and the old-fashioned decor. We were seated right away upon walking in (around 1 p.m. on MLK Minday.) The service was very friendly, and we all enjoyed having a table near the fire. Between the 4 of us, we tried several of their specialties--the chicken and dumplings, the homestyle fried chicken dinner, homemade Mac 'n cheese and fried chicken tenders. It's all stick-to-your-ribs good stuff. As long as you're not on a diet, you could do a lot worse than the chicken and dumplings with biscuits. That's probably a good choice for first timers not having breakfast (their specialty). read more

Me and my family of 4 from out of town thought it would be nice to go out and have the normal Cracker Barrel experience that we use to get. No. This experience was far from okay. I understand under staffed issues in these times but this was insane. We sat down and it took 20 minutes for our server to even come ask us what we wanted to drink. So we told her our drink order and our food order. Keep in mind the dining room had maybe 8 out of 25 tables full. So there was barely anyone there. Another 15 minutes go by and our server is no where to be found and we all needed refills. The only time we saw our server was when she brought out food out and the one and only time she asked us how we were. It's absolutely absurd!!! Many more things happened at our dining experience or lack of experience, I could go on and on. If I could give zero stars to the staff and over all I would. The wait was long, my soda was flat, food was Luke warm and didn't receive my salad before lunch. Biscuits and corn bread were brought after we were done eating. Awesome experience! Mama's pancakes were just perfect. The bacon was perfect, not burnt, not raw. Eggs were fluffy and light. Kim the Manager stopped and chatted with us; we explained we were evacuating hurricane Irma in Florida and she was very positive and encouraging. My wife and I visited this location a couple days ago. I hadn't been in a cracker barrel in about 20 years but it's mostly the same as I remember. It was a Sunday so it was busy for obvious reasons. Since it was just the two of us we were seated right away. The wait for our food was a little bit longer than I care for but it was hot, it tasted fantastic, and most importantly they got my order correct, and it was very reasonably priced. In fact it cost less for us to eat there than it does at wendys. On the negative side of things is the line. There is no telling where the back is because people are wo during around the store part. They really need to get it together and figure something out. When I'm done eating I want to pay and go, not wade through a line of people looking through merchandise in cramped quarters. I'm reading a lot of bad reviews of this location so I'm guessing we went on a good day. read more

Had a bad experience. I ordered the chicken & rice. It had a piece or wire metal in it. The manager said it was something off the pan in which the food was baked in. She offered to get me something else. What was more disappointing is that the chicken is served with white rice now. I won't be ordering this anymore as it is no longer my favorite dish on their menu. read more

A place my family has always enjoyed going to was such a disappointment and trust me we most likely will not return. My husband and I decided we would go there for lunch. For starters we had to stand at the hostess booth and wait for the hostess to come up and greet us for what seemed like a total of five minutes. Which on its own is really not a big deal to us we are patient people. She had what seemed to be a hostess in training seat us. This was the first thing that actually bothered us is that in the first half of the almost empty restaurant she sat us basically on top of the two other families there. We seriously felt like we were all sitting together like one big happy family and you could tell the couple with their child next to us even got a little uncomfortable with strangers being seated so close to them. My husband and I felt as though we couldn't even exchange a private conversation as they would hear every word of it. Our waitress was very nice at first until it came to ordering where she basically acted annoyed that we were asking questions about the menu. Once again we are patient people this on its own was not a big deal to us. We got our drinks and our food no problem fairly quickly. Although we both quickly realized how old and low quality the food tasted. He ordered the catfish and I ordered a cheddar bacon burger if I remember correctly. Even the fries that came with the burger were dried up and pretty well inedible unless you drowned it with ketchup. Then the waitress disappeared. She was no where to be found for a good 20 minutes no check up to see how our food was no check up on refills. My husbands drink was empty for probably 15 minutes of that 20 minutes she was gone for. This is very frustrating as we can't just get up and get things ourselves or else trust me we would've taken that initiative. The waitress finally showed up turns out she was simply hanging out in the back which I'm assuming is the kitchen area. We both decided it was time to go after choking down half of our meals and waiting for our waitress to reappear so we could get our check. She asked if we wanted a box we quietly just told her no. I am not one to raise a fit in any place of business as I find that to be completely unnecessary but I strongly considered asking to speak to a manager in such a terrible experience. read more

Our waiter, Adam, seemed fairly new, nice as could be but ill equipped to handle the situation. The eggs were a complete nightmare as if no one ever orders eggs with pancakes in this place! His had egg shells in them and I just could not get cheese in mine. It took about 18 min. to get the food to start, then the eggs go back for 10, finally the Mgr came over, then went back and returned with the eggs - still with no cheese! Now of course my pancakes are cold (the frozen butter definitely won't melt) and I've filled up on bacon and water. He prefers to eat his eggs first and I like everything together. So the eggs went back again and I did get new pancakes but it was ruined and I left half the meal which I have NEVER done at Cracker Barrel. I had to ask to be compensated for the tremendous inconvenience and horrible experience because there was no offer - sadly! read more
