The service was fine. I was surprised at the breakfast menu. No omelets? Really? Ok, so we got scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, hash browns and toast. My girlfriend got the same only with sausage patties. Cold sausage patties. We both tried to figure out what the sausage tasted like.. it was a cross between dishsoap and dogfood. I'm writing this review to share The poor customer service and experience I had at this location on 12/05/2025. Cracker Barrel is my wife and I's go to place multiple times per week Especially when we're traveling. My wife is working and asked me to pick up Cracker Barrel for lunch, so I went inside To order our normal special Which is the two for 20. I asked if I could do a pick up order and had to wait five minutes for the waitress to come up front. After that, she took my order, walked away and came back, saying that I could not place that order to go. Which was fine, I asked then to sit at a table. So I placed my order with the waitress, who was great by the way absolutely amazing And very welcoming. She then came back over and said that the manager is refusing and will not make my food because I originally asked for it to go. So I'm sitting in the middle aisle, so I'm surrounded by other tables who all overheard this, So at this point, I'm getting frustrated and said so they are refusing my service. And the waitress did not understand why they would not serve me. At this point, I stood up and was standing up front by the fireplace waiting for the Manager to come out. After he came out, he said that that special was dine in only . I said I am sitting at the table and asking for my food. He said we're not just going to send you out the food for you to scoop it into a container. I then stated if I need to scoop it into a container myself I don't mind. My wife just wants Cracker Barrel and I'm trying to give her what she wants. After going back-and-forth a few minutes at the front of the restaurant, I decided to leave and remove myself before I escalated. As someone who goes to Cracker Barrel multiple times, I've never been treated the way I have at this location. The managers are all on a Power trip, Refusing service and denying a customer. This is the closest Cracker Barrel to where I live about an hour away. So to drive all the way out here just to get service like this is part of the reason I am pissed off. Nine out of 10 Cracker Barrel's I go to they treat you amazing from when you walk in the door to when you leave. This location is that one. read more

Tried to order food online for pickup before 9pm Sunday since restaurant closes at 10pm. Site wouldn't take my order so I called. They said that they are stopping mobile orders by 9pm so did over the phone. Supposed to be ready in 20-30 minutes but food was ready in 1 hr. The staff member who brought our food out said that the restaurant's been so busy. Got to our hotel and found missing/wrong items. Also food could look better. I called about the mistakes and was given a free meal to compensate. Got it the next day and everything was good, nicely packed. Good thing walking around the store makes waiting for food orders ok. A must needed pit stop before you head for the beaches. Located right of the highway, so when you are done , you can continue on. We got here early and no waiting. We sat down, and immediately came our server. I'm glad that CB still has the same menu items. I usually get pancakes and eggs n bacon combo. Review from 2018. When we first arrived we liked the theme of the wild west decor and the little shop that is attached to the restaurant. Very unique. The wait was about 15 min. So we looked around the shop. They sold all kinds of trinkets and candy. When we were seated, they had this puzzle (see pic) that kept us busy until the food arrived. And when the food came... my gosh was the food awful. It was not just my food, but everyone in my party of 7 thought the food was awful. Dry and tasteless. Totally unacceptable for the price. The only redeeming factor was the servers were pretty attentive and friendly. But we were not the type of customers to complain about the food so all we can do is not come back and warn others. read more

By the time my toast was served, my eggs were cold and my husband's pancakes were cold when he received his syrup. No one came by for coffee refill. Just dropped off the check. Breakfast was wonderful. Our kids needed the variety from chicken and fries we've been eating on vacation. The pancakes, eggs, biscuits, sausage, bacon and hashbrown casserole were all great! Our server (she's been there six years) was so sweet. She took great care of us. For the six of us, with four drinks, our food total was under $50. For our vacation thus far that was the least we paid and the most the kids ate. Great place for getting some variety for the kids. We also played lots of checkers and even bought a "stuffy" for our daughter. The restroom was clean and well maintained. Great spot for breakfast! read more

This is hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a cracker barrel. It's tourist season and they know that and plan for it, so I'm not giving them a break for being busy. It was busy, but didn't seem busy enough for the crappy service we got. When we got seated we waited a while for the waitress to come by and say she would be right with us. We waited another 10 minutes before she came back and said she was sorry and that she had to put in somebody else's order. We ordered our food and drinks since we waited so long. When the sodas got there the Dr pepper was flat and the cherry soda and no syrup in it at all. When the waitress brought our food out (which was fairly quick so I knew something was wrong) we let her know the soda was bad and told her we wanted waters. She said she would go change the sodas and brought my brother out a water and me the same nasty soda. She said she was unable to change it because the trash can was in the way and brought out a new glass of flat soda...?!?! Anyway, the food was room temperature maybe even cooler and the Mac and cheese had burnt parts all in it. I took pictures to show. The food was over all the worst cracker barrel food I have had. The waitress ended up taking off the one soda but still charged me for the flat soda. So at the register the lady asked how our meal was and I told her honestly it wasn't that great. She ended up giving me the flat soda I was charged for for free, and apologized that she couldn't take off the Mac n cheese since it was part of the vegetable plate. I'm glad I'm just visiting, because I'm never coming here again. read more

What has happened to this restaurant? Walked in Thursday night. Restaurant was about 50% full. Got seated for two right away. It seems the restaurant is short staffed. Servers busing and sweeping up their own tables - never seen that before. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. About 10 minutes later she appears and was apologetic. Said she recently started. She was helpful and took our order: fried catfish platter, loaded hash browns, and steak with shrimp platter. Food was meh to horrible. Most items just bland. That is not the worst part. The fried catfish was not catfish but trout. Not a big fan of trout. Didn't expect much from the steak yet it still disappointed. Overcooked and rubbery. Fried shrimp, 4 that we got, were bland and tasted and chewed like it had been sitting under the lamp for hours. Even the steak fries were bad. Didn't even touch the hush puppies- we got two with each meal. The biscuit and cornbread bread were also stale. Overall restaurant is dingy, tables sticky, food bad to inedible. I LOVED the food here!! Simple presentations, simple service, simple flavorings. Everything just felt like "home". This food really sticks to your heart in a way I cannot easily describe. Country fried steak, pancakes, sausages, fried chicken, chicken tenders, sausage gravy, buttery biscuits, eggs, fried apples, hot chocolate...amazing. The only fail was the grits, the magic didn't find its way in there unfortunately. Biggest takeaway for me is the price. It's remarkably inexpensive. Have been here a few times for breakfast and they have good customer service. The only chained restaurant with a gift store. After your done eating the server provides a receipt which your supposed to pay on the way out. My inner adolescent tells me that that these restaurants are designed for " five finger discount" and "dine and dash" I just cant believe that a place that specializes in breakfast and chicken lunches doesn't have "chicken and waffels" on the menu. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! We have frequented many Cracker Barrel Restaurants in the Midwest and Southeast. We arrived on a cold winter day, mid afternoon and were told the wait would be 20-30 minute due to lack of servers. I have been a waitress for 8 years so instantly I understood why many tables were empty. We were in the mood for greens so we decided to wait. I had had recent knee surgery so my husband asked if I could sit at an empty table. They provided a chair but insisted I couldn't enter the empty restaurant , I sat in the doorway where the hostess and her asst. directed. It was awkward as the waiting customers gathered and the wait hot longer and longer . Then a large woman in her 20's decided she'd sit at a table inside. No one challenged her. After 40 minutes we were told there were 3 parties ahead of us. Next an very elderly woman arrived with her family. The young man , while staring directly at me sitting I. The entrance, told this frail looking, 80 plus year old woman she couldn't sit indoors because it was against the rules!!! I felt Terrible, offered her my seat while my husband pulled another chair out for her and the manager arrived! He was explaining that we could sit outside. I felt so uncomfortable and it was clear we weren't going to be served in the foreseeable future so we left. We drove to the Rehoboth Diner nearby. This was a great Cracker Barrel Old Country store and easy to get to off the highway. The restaurant was nice and clean and well organized. The gift store was very nice had plenty to see. Im a big fan of CB and this is one of the better ones in the TRI STATE area. Friendly staff who are well trained and caring. In season the clientele are rushed and tired from driving.
