This is my second time coming to this location. My first time was great the young lady at the front takeout was helpful and nice. Just a few hours ago my second visit was a mess. The girl at the front had an attitude so much so she got my order totally wrong. The manager came out and fixed the mistake. The girl, all the girl standing in the front hostessing or taking orders were heads down texting on their phones. I asked the girl a question and either she was so into her phone texting and ignored me. I had to get up and yell excuse me. Management should stop this because it seems they are rushing customers to get back to texting. If I see it next time I'm going to complain to management. That's one of the main reasons i keep coming back, because usually to-go orders are iffy and have one or two hiccups. Not here. Packaged well, and the orders are spot on. My go-to is the Autumn Special which comes with snow crab, headless shrimp, mussels, corn, potatoes, and eggs. Only on one occasion did the mussels taste terrible. They were chalky and sour. I gave them another chance because I love mussels and the rest of the food was great, and they turned out to be just fine. Perhaps it was just a bad batch! I walked carryout window to place order. They have patio space for 1 to 3 outdoor tables however they do not have any outside. Placed order. Will be a 20 minute wait. We stood outside and waited. We were starving (and traveling to another business) so we decided to eat in the car. Opened bag discovered only 1 napkin, ( between 3 people eating) NO UTENSILS ( I specifically asked for condiments, Napkins and lemons BEFORE leaving window.) Considering I ordered food during Corona (and the times of social distancing), I was not able to actually sit in the restaurant and interact with staff. Therefore, my review is solely on the food and it's amazing taste. First, I'll start with the Cajun Wings. To say that they exceeded my expectations would not even begin to describe how tasty the wings were. I was pleasantly surprised by their flavor and seasoning. Now, on the the seafood boils. 3 friends and I decided that we would share a large platter and a crab legs, add crawfish, seafood boil. Honestly, we didn't need the crab legs seafood boil because the large platter was MORE than enough to feed all 4 of us. This was my first time getting a crab boil from here and I was highly satisfied. I spent about $60 for my bag and It came with way more items than I was expecting. So much so that I had enough for the next day. The shrimp were big and succulent as were the mussels. The snow crab legs were a great size as well. They went a little OC with the red potatoes(16) but I appreciate them giving more bang for my buck. I got the lemon pepper seasoning and although It was good, It was a little on the salty side. Me and my friends we're eager to try this new seafood spot out in our neighborhood, however, it sadly was disappointing. I'll start off by saying there is already a newish seafood boil place (Rock n Toss) right around the corner from Crafty Crab so when I heard they were opening another one so close, I was disheartened. I got boom -fire seasoning and the sauce and the food was very good ! It came with corn and potatoes. It was a good amount of food for the price, which it is a bit cheaper than the other place overall. It came w/ 2 large clusters of crab legs & 2 potatoes & a piece of corn. The boom is not that spicy at all but still Tasty! My sister got blue crabs for 11.99 for a lb - it was about 6 crabs with corn &potatoes. Decent pricing for sure. The bad- service here is trash. There is no other way to put it. Just trash. There was a 20 minute wait so we went to the bar to get a drink. The bar tender didn't even know which beers they had - how? He tried to ask us repeatedly if we wanted cider (I guess because we are women *eyeroll*. Luckily the host called our name, we walked over and then 30 sec later, impatiently and in our ear she yelled our name again loudly! We were standing right next to her ?! So we are seated (meanwhile sitting right behind the host was 3 servers eating pizza ???) Our waitress was soooo slow. No smiling , not very helpful . She didn't know which kind of beers were available either so we just picked one of the 3 she mentioned that she knew they had (blue moon, corona or bud light). Our waters took about 25 min to come out and we had to eventually grab our own beers off the bar. Food came out about 20 min after that. We got buffalo wings - no buffalo sauce they are naked lol My cousin ordered extra corn and never got it so the waitress came back and said "I'll just take that off your bill for you instead" like duh. She never got it ! And what if she wanted it to go though ?? So finally we're asking for the checks and our orders are not that difficult (the menu is not that expansive) but sone how she still got that messed up and had the nerve to come back and say "one of y'all gave me the wrong check on the wrong card" Poor customer service I'm telling you. I was expecting it to be a bit crowded with so many local churches just letting out of service, but to my surprise we were seated within minutes. Our sever Brittani was pleasant and a great help. I have a specific allergy to shrimp, but can eat other shellfish. She navigated me towards the make your own options. My mom ordered fried oysters and onion rings as a starter, along with jambalaya. So the food is very well seasoned and tastes great. HOWEVER I paid about $45 for a 1pound Seafood Boil bag of Snow Crab legs and Headless Shrimp what I received was two clusters of crab legs (one of which was missing a leg or two), a few pieces of shrimp, like 5 potatoes (THAT I DIDNT ASK FOR NOR WAS IT MENTIONED ON THE MENU) and some corn on the cob (was also not mentioned to be included in the bag and was not asked for). If I'd removed the potatoes and the corn there is no way in heck that those crab legs and shrimp totaled a 1 pound bag. I'd be surprised if it totaled a half a pound bag. I got the snow crab and headless shrimp seafood boil with the boom seasoning and medium spice. I was disappointed with the amount of seasoning and spice level. It was barely seasoned. I wanted more. The spice level was more disappointing than the lack of seasoning. There was not a drop of spice. The only good thing I liked was that the shrimp were deveined and easy to peel compared to other seafood boil restaurants I have been to. I visited a business located near Crafty Crab on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 5pm. Someone who I believe was an employee was standing outside in front of the building smoking Marijuana. The smell was so strong that you could smell it inside of the business that I visited. The employees at the business said that the Crafty Crab employees smoke Marijuana outside often. This is not professional behavior. The shopping center where this business is located is very nice and inviting. We decided to do Happy Hour here on Friday Jan. 5, 2024...they now have Karaoke on Fridays...the music was too loud to have a conversation, the Karaoke DJ was using profanity along with the Karaoke Songs having profanity on the Monitor....The Manager was not in control of the situation as we told him our concerns and he addressed them with the DJ but the DJ continued to use profanity with children present in the restaurant...the Manager did remove the automatic tip from our bills..very horrible dining experience as we have been here before and enjoyed the food and the experience. read more

My husband and I decided to try this place today 3/5/22. We went rather early approximately 2:45 pm. Once we walked in, the hostess stated that there was an hour wait, but we could sit at the bar. While walking to the bar, we noticed that there were a number of empty tables, so we were a little confused. We ordered drinks and asked the bartender for suggestions. He wasn't interested in really being helpful. He was swamped. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. The food was awful and the sauce (seasoning) was HORRIBLE!!! Both my husband's and I orders came out wrong. No one tried to correct his order, the bartender talks to someone about my order, and low and behold my actual order comes out. Just ordered some takeout through seamless with this place and it was superb. I got the blue crabs with the buttery garlic seasoning and the raw oysters and they came out so well. This time, it was in the Bowie location. They more than made up for the previous location. I ordered the king crab boil in garlic butter sauce. It was fabulous. The food and drinks took a little bit of time but seeing as they were clearly understaffed, we had no issues. A very close friend of mine loves crab boils and said this is her preferred place to go! I was very intrigued to try it out even though I believe it to be pricey! On her recommendation I ordered the one pound snow crabs and one pound of headless shrimp with the mild boom sauce! This came with two snow crab clusters 4 red potatoes, 3 ears of corn and shrimp, (not sure how many). The sauce...soo good! My friend also recommended the crab dip as well!
