I've been to Crave 3 times now and have always been impressed with their service and meal quality. Crave is a large restaurant, but the experience is still personal and staff are attentive but never overbearing. In my most recent visit I enjoyed the short rib over spaghetti squash with a glass of wine. The short rib was tender and juicy with a phenomenal braise and sauce. My husband enjoyed the lobster ravioli special, but wished it was slightly more food. Luckily we'd ordered the tuna guacamole appetizer. I've had this appetizer every time I've dined at Crave. I like the large sharable portion and freshness it provides. The fish melts in your mouth! We finished our night with 2 espresso martinis which were rich and creamy in flavor. Something else I was impressed with is how Crave staff take empty wine glasses, plates, checks, etc. They'll walk past the table and subtly grab it without missing a beat. Found this place upon googling restaurants which happened to also be near our hotel. Very popular and trendy restaurant with high quality food and drinks (big portions as well). We ordered the whole roasted cauliflower which we ended up taking half with us. BFF ordered the Cubano sandwich which is huge and ate half. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and ate 1/3 and my fries. We debated on dessert but they are HUGE too! Cocktail wise I had the vodka martini with bleu cheese olives and BFF had the "Sex and the City" martini, both of which were top notch. We return here every time we are in or near Eagle now. We are never ever disappointed. The service is always top notch and the food even better. Yesterday we had the guacamole with ahi tuna and as always it was spot on. I tried the fish tacos - called crave tacos - and they were delicious. Wow, what is it about this place? One would think it had 2 Michelin Stars or something. It can be rough getting in on a Thurs - Sunday, but you can make reservations. Definitely a plus! Simply book well in advance. For Father's day my family took me here for dinner. The interior is fresh and lively. It hosts indoor, outdoor, and even rooftop dining. The exterior has a modern vibe that is appealing as are the interiors. They serve up a bunch of custom cocktails "hand crafted" I guess is the word, and an eclectic menu that appears all over the place. From Asian fusion, to a Texan Wedge, to 'Merican style Steaks. I think this is on of the main draws, the menu does have something for most people. We all enjoyed our dinners and drinks. And I would like to come back. The service was also good. I had the pleasure of coming here again for my friend's party. We sat on the patio, it was nice and toasty despite it was cold and snowed. There was about 15 of us. We had two separate tables. Our server didn't really have us timed at the same pace with each other. The second table went a head and ordered dinner. She prompted appetizers for us. By the time we ordered dinner, the second table was almost with thier dinner and a looking at the dessert menu. We had the Hot Rock, the Crave Roll, by mistake tried the Guacamole which was so good, my husband got their filet for dinner and I got their Mediterranean bowl the portions and everything were so good. My husband and I like this place! Solid food, great staff, nice ambiance. We've been here a few times, so I'll cover all the items we've ever gotten. Must haves: - Short rib dumplings -- really unique flavor profile and very delicious! Always gotta order this every time. - Rosemary Focaccia-- this is like crack. I typically don't like truffle-anything cuz it's very in-your-face. BUT, the truffle in the honey butter is sooo subtle -- definitely just the right amount. Honestly, I can eat the whole thing by myself, so if you're planning on sharing with others and you like bread, order more than one! - Tuna Tartare Guacamole -- my husband LOVES this. Plus, they will refill your chips as needed. Solid options: - The Rock - it's not Japanese A5 Wagyu, but it's pretty good. - Prime Rib Sandwich -- this thing is huge! It's kinda like an elevated cheesesteak sammich. Very good. - Whisky-Braised Short Ribs -- huge portion. Delicious and has interesting flavors! - Coconut Carrot Cake -- not too sweet, but you have to have enough space because this thing is ginormous. We had to last-minute cancel a reservation at Barbacoa due to a timing issue for us. Fortunately this led to trying Crave for the first time since moving here this year. Our initial disappointment at having to put off Barbacoa was more than softened with a great experience at Crave. In advance I apologize for not providing any pictures here - simply forgot to snap a few prior to eating... next visit will have to suffice. Located in Eagle just off Eagle Road (on Colchester), the exterior of Crave is quite appealing and surrounded by trees and a co-located pond where we witnessed ducks, ducklings, geese, and goslings. The interior was also impressive and welcoming. Greeting and seating occurred immediately although we had arrived fifteen minutes early. The surround bar looked inviting and as we walked towards our booth/table hybrid, we eyed the stairs used to reach an upper outdoor area (a little windy and chilly for today however). Plentiful window views to the forementioned natural area for our seats where we also noted a main-level outdoor patio seating section. A pleasant feeling in the entire space. the music was nice and low enough for engaging conversation. We were so pleased with our server Jesse. His knowledge and experience with the Crave menu was evident. No question of ours went unanswered. Drink and app orders were quickly tallied and fulfilled. I will say up front Jesse kept our beverages topped off, including ice water - we asked for nothing, nor did we need to do so. The two apps we shared were fabulous. The Rosemary Focaccia bread was served hot with a wonderful truffle honey ricotta spread to die for. None of the three at our table are big fans of rosemary but we sure managed to wipe this spread into oblivion. Brought such a bright taste to the hot focaccia. The second app was their Spinach and Artichoke Dip - Warm spinach and artichoke dip, goat cheese, gruyère cheese, roasted red peppers amd house crackers. Again we were all very impressed with the brilliant blend of flavors in their unique twist on the usual spinach & artichoke dip. Both app plates were deservingly cleaned! Took three different directions for our entree orders. First pick was the Southern Cobb Salad - house-roasted chicken, heirloom tomatoes, roasted corn, black pepper bacon, avocado, blue cheese, eggs, mixed greens, creole buttermilk dressing. Presentation was classy and organized (if that makes sense). I hear the chicken was great in the salad and it was visually a tempting salad. The creole dressing was a nice touch. Second decision was the Chicken Pappardelle - roasted chicken, roasted red peppers, mushroom medley, onions, spinach, house-made pasta, parmesan creme sauce. Another dish that was pleasing to see and twisted very slightly in the way Crave chooses to serve a traditional dish. This second chosen entree also disappeared! My choice was the Honey Chipotle Pork Shank - Glazed Snake River Farms Kurobuta pork shank, cilantro lime rice. Sounds deceivingly simple, but delivered big flavors! It was a little comical that our server Jesse made sure to lay down a nice big steak knife prior to my entree arriving; he said I would need it. Not hardly! The pork literally fell off the bone. Moist and tender. The glaze exhibited very subtle "sweet-spicy" characteristics without nullifying the base flavor of the pork itself. Without knowing it to be cilantro lime rice, I would have really guessed this to be a nicely prepared risotto. The rice was very creamy and provided a good balance to the glazed pork and its' slightly sharpened edges. The shank was topped with some microgreens that added a little bitter taste here and there. I was smitten with my entree. Because we were there on a celebration day, we three picked out the "Celebration Cake" from the dessert menu. Jesse delivered it to the table - with a sparkler shooting out of the top! It was a good surprise and the tables around us also enjoyed the sight. It was a huge 6-layer cake - each layer a different flavor. The plate was also covered with house-made gummy bears. Crave was fantastic! Jesse was a tremendous server! We wanted to try the inside dining but they were booked. So, we were seated at the outside patio. It was okay, lucky it wasn't as cold. I love the combination of the very rich and tender short rib meat over a blanket of their dumpling wrapper. Love how it also has a bit of sauce/broth served where the dumplings are placed. Crave roll- interesting twist of a sushi type dish but not rolled. Delicious, but a bit tricky to dip in soy if you are trying not to let those roe fall off. Other than that, worth ordering! Whiskey braised short rib and we substituted the squash for the forbidden fried rice. Oooh, this was a terrible move. It didn't match the dish at all! I was excited to try the forbidden rice but to in my opinion, it tasted very salty. Plus, adding to that the very flavorful short rib, the dish was just over powering with strong flavors. I really liked how the dumpling brought out the flavors of the meat than with this dish. Maybe not a reorder for me on this one. Filet Fettuccine was really tasty. This one has this unique taste where the blue cheese cream sauce isn't overpowering of a blue cheese flavor. Pieces of beef on this dish was tender. I love how al dente the pasta was. This was a good choice. We ended our meal with a crème brûlée which was awesome!!! Delicious! The service was okay. We had to wait a bit after our first round of drinks to order our next round. When we were done eating, it took a bit of time to get our bill to our table. Nonetheless, the appetizers and drinks were great! Been here twice with friends and we love this place. Nestled near a pond and trees the views are nice and the interior is very modern. The service is outstanding and very friendly. The food is very good and tasty. I have had the Truffle Sashimi both times and it does not disappoint. The sauce is amazing, I only wish I could get it with all tuna my fav. The Steak French Dip is also excellent, one of the best I have had. Lots of lean meat and cheese. It was pretty filling for a sandwich so be ready if you also get appetizers. I don't remember the exact name for the sushi roll but that too is very good. Nice amount of sushi and ingredients. The roll tasted fresh. Drinks are great here too. Some interesting custom drink here along with a full bar. It was so cool that on both occasions the owner stopped by to check on our meal and how we were doing. Very nice guy. Food: My table mate and I had salads for lunch, he had the wedge salad and I had the crispy chickpea and salmon. Probably the best meal type salads I have had outside of my own kitchen! The salmon was cooked perfectly, accented with the chickpeas. The pepper berries were a new item for me and I absolutely loved them in this salad. The dressing was olive oil based and didn't overpower the salad. My table mate loved his wedge salad and raved over the blue cheese dressing, not overpowering but seasoned the salad perfectly. We also had the hot artichoke dip for an appetizer. It came out bubbling in its own crock with the consistency of a thick chowder. I would have like it to be a bit thicker. The seasoning was a little off/bland for me so I did add some salt into it. Ask for extra flat bread toasts to go with it. Service: The service was wonderful and on point. The food took a while to come out but it was a Friday lunch time crowd so I understand how busy it was. Ambience: This was the only sore spot for me. The music they played had heavy bass and drums, which just added to the extra noise of an already busy dining room. This would be a five star review if it wasn't for the ambience/music. On a recent visit, I tried the Sweet Potato Gnocchi (house made gnocchi, fennel pork sausage, spinach, red peppers, onion, cream sauce, $25.00) for the first time. This unique dish is out of this damn world. Not exaggerating. The gnocchi was absolutely delectable and the cream sauce phenomenal. The pork sausage was an excellent addition.
