I had a bad experience my first time eating crawfish. Since then, I never really cared to try it again.. until the crew introduced me to Crawfish Cafe!! I was still a bit skeptical when ordering, but I knew they wouldn't steer me wrong. This place is clean with a huge dining room. Service was great, and prices are not bad at all. We were seated immediately upon walking in on a Sunday, right before the lunch rush came. I am salivating as I'm writing this because the flavors of everything we ordered is still fresh on my mind!! Bottom line: just try it at least once! They know what they're doing here. It's no wonder this place is poppin!! Next time I'm back, I'll try to make another stop so I can get my own bag of crawfish. I played it safe this visit and got the Crawfish Etouffee, lol. I was lazy to peel them, so this fit the bill for me that day. We all liked what we ordered, but I was traumatized from my first experience with crawfish from a seafood boil I went to a few years back. Crawfish Cafe renewed my faith, and I am now a believer!! I shall be back!!
Let's get started, Cindy X was my hostess. She's beautiful, kind, knowledgeable and gave great food suggestions. Keep her and promote her. This was my first time in after seeing it on yelp. She suggested the sampler which is not on the menu but for $9.99 it comes with all the crawfish starters. Chargrilled oysters, peach Magarita and garlic noodles. Cindy X was right on the spot. Food was hot, has flavor and tasted delicious. Tab was under $20 and I felt I got my monies worth. I'm definitely returning to try other menu items. I Plan to bring others to enjoy the ambiance, the hospitality and the delicious food. Thank you
Came here on a Sunday with some friends craving some catfish! This was the first time I'd been to this location and it definitely won't be my last! Well lit upon entering, and was greeted immediately. We got there at the perfect time, as there soon started to be a wait after we were seated. We came just a few minutes before noon, and this place was packed! We were seated and were so excited for all the things. We ordered the sampler oysters, the calamari and the lemon pepper wings. I have never had wings at any of their locations, and let me just say....from now on I will!!! They were soooo good! Whatever that batter is that they use on it, it is so crispy and crunchy, and had just the right amount of seasoning! 11 out of 10!!!! The oysters always hit the spot, and the calamari was great as well, with the coating that was on there, so crispy and crunchy!!! On to the food, I ordered the combo 1, which comes with a 1lb of crawfish, 1/2 lb of shrimp, corn on the cob and a potato, and then I added a side of sausage! I went with the garlic and cajun seasoning, medium, which was just the right amount of food. The flavor is always sooo good!!! the crawfish were a great size! The shrimp are always good, and they're so good. And the sausage!! Such a good snap on the sausage, I always look forward to it. The corn was just out of this world, cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. Our service was great, the server would check on us often, and there was lots of teamwork, as there are others that would come by and help bust the table, getting empty plates or trash out of our way. Great experience and will be back fa sho!
The line is always wild at Crawfish Cafe. I think I ordered a little wrong this time, so I'm definitely giving it another shot. We started with boudin balls, and the sauce was the highlight--kind of a mild honey-Dijon mustard vibe with mustard seed and a hint of horseradish and some aïoli. My wife also loved my fried rice, which was the base of my "smack pack" (not sure on the spelling). I also ordered the seafood gumbo, a side of sausage gumbo, and garlic noodles. My entrée was good--just not great or memorable. The seafood gumbo, though, was a mess: watery, almost no flavor, and I ended up salting it heavily (and I never salt anything). The sausage gumbo was much better--richer flavor and a thicker, more satisfying consistency. The garlic noodles were tasty, too...but nothing special. My wife got the #3 boil with potatoes, crab, and big, fat shrimp, and she was happy with it. They were sold out of bread pudding, which was a bummer. One thing I thought was unique: it's Vietnamese-inspired Cajun, so a lot of the seasonings and sauces have a Vietnamese twist. And the service was excellent--my server crushed it. Food-wise, I'd call it a 3 out of 5, but the service bumps it to a 4 out of 5. I'll be back, and next time I'm ordering what everyone else seemed to be losing their minds over--the massive bowl of crawfish or a full-on giant boil.
Love a good seafood boil spot!! This place was busy, which is a good thing but we were seated quickly. Ordered the oyster sampler, boudin balls and the 1lb crab & shrimp, all very good. Drinks are pre made but still good and service is A1. Every time we turned around someone was replenishing water or grabbing finished items off the table. It can be noisy and is a Family friendly environment but I'd def come back!!
I had never heard of Crawfish Cafe a friend recommended it for our girls night. Make sure you join the waitlist ahead of time, especially if it's a weekend night. It was PACKED and walk-ins had a 2 hour wait time. One person in our group got the smoked boudin link and said it was really good. I went with Combo 3 in Signature sauce - it was good, but I don't think it was $40 worth of food. In hindsight, I should've gotten the Smack Pack XL for an extra $5. I can't remember our server's name, but he was super helpful and patient with all of our questions
Had a relaxing vibe- place was full. Service was slightly slow but since it was full & the food was very fresh, can't complain. The crawfish beignets did NOT disappoint-I would get those again. I do wish they could figure out how to put the spice of the "cold" dip sauce "into" the beignets! That would knock them over the top- The crispy chicken took me by surprise-I didn't realize they would have a batter. I would not get them again-but -batter on my wings just isn't my thing. They weren't bad... Hopefully that makes since. Hubby got the boiled 3 seafood mix-I forgot to take photo- The flavor was good but, we bought mild, it was hotter than mild. Kept a burn for a while on my lips. Not sure if that's a "glitch" since we came late in the day. Maybe the water evaporated out of the pot so the pepper was stronger? But we'd go back for that too! It wasn't so hot to ruin the taste of the food.
So good!!!! Only thing I didn't like was the wait to get a table but it was worth it! The crawfish were pretty big and came out relatively quick! Our server was very attentive and friendly! The vibe of the restaurant was family friendly and welcoming! I would definitely come back! Best crawfish I've had this crawfish season!
This review is for the crawfish alone!! I've tried a couple of other items here that have been a hit or miss but on this visit I finally decided to give the crawfish a try and was overall pleased. I got a mix of lemon pepper and garlic butter with extra sauce and boil juice and they definitely gave me extra which I enjoyed. I got 1 pound all mild and I was so happy that they were not spicy. These crawfish were seasoned all the way through and not just on the outside. The lemon pepper and garlic butter flavor was really good together. I was worried that the sauce on the crawfish would be really sweet due to the viet-cajun style but it just had a very light sweetness in the sauce that wasn't overkill and balanced everything out. If you're a garlic lover you would love these crawfish. My only complaint is that my bag honestly felt lighter than a pound and there was a lot of tiny ones and then some nice sized ones. It's crawfish season so I expected larger sizes but maybe in the upcoming weeks. Speaking of other items, i've tried the crawfish bread which is absolutely delicious. I've tried the wings and was very disappointed because they had a decent flavor, it's just that each one was black from cooked blood inside which I did not like. Also it was too much of the batter on them. As for the loud pack, I had high hopes but the shrimp had no flavor and didn't taste like any gulf shrimp. The crawfish fried rice was okay, very sesame oil based. I wasn't a fan of the dipping sauce. The corn, sausage, potato and sausage all taste fine, you can't really go wrong with that. The sausage is an andouille sausage so it is spicy if you're sensitive. The last thing i've tried were the boudin balls and they are not your average Louisiana style boudin balls. They are sweet on the inside and very mushy. It tastes like asian style bbq pork puréed with rice, I would not recommend those. Overall, i'd recommend Crawfish Cafe, you just have to find what you like!
YUM YUM YUM Did not disappoint. Y'all have to come visit these wonderful folks Started out with Crawfish Cheesy Bread = Dangerously Sinful. Omg. You gotta get some. Then we decided to split a meal of fish and shrimp with 2 sides I chose Cajun fried rice and my husband chose Red Beans and Rice. Both great choices and really great Sweet Tea We had enough for take home even after plate sharing. The service was great. And ambience was definitely family.
Food - expected greatness, entire family received upset stomachs. From vomiting to diarrhea, the night didn't end with the meal. Service - SLOW. We weren't checked on, didn't receive condiments that were ordered, and the waitress seemed very off put by our presence (alongside everyone else that was there). Vibe - Different! I wasn't sure what to expect when walking in - of course it certainly wasn't a Viet-Cajun flair. My fault for not really diving into the menu beforehand. It may be your thing, but as a native Louisianan - not my forte. Overall, I can't comfortably recommend based on my and my family's experience.

So I tried out a new restaurant that was recommended to me by a friend. We have a few Cajun Seafood restaurants in Cypress. But to my surprise this Viet-Cajun restaurant was by far a hidden gem. Now if you are allergic to shellfish, this probably isn't the place for you. To start off our meal I ordered Crawfish Beignets for the table. The mixture of the crawfish and cheese complimented each other. I then ordered three of their Boiled N Bag specials. First of all the crawfish were a nice size and tasted fantastic. Second the shrimp were not your normal mini shrimp most restaurants try to pass off as edible. These shrimp were jumbo size and definitely worth the price. The Cluster of snow crab completed our order and it was not a mistake, The flavors of all the seafood were delicious and I was ready for a nap afterwards. I definitely recommend you try this place out and their staff were very knowledgeable of the menu and even gave recommendations on what to order. The restaurant was spotless and provided Bibs and gloves if you needed them for your meal. read more

I'm from California so going into a seafood restaurant down south I expected something authenticly southern but I guess - this is an Asian fusion type place so they have crab fried rice and garlic noodles with you know a Thai Flair. My brother recommended this place and so I went unknowingly that it was a asian cuisine establishment. Which is okay but we have those at home in California not expecting that in Texas- for seafood anyway. Nevertheless comparatively the food was good and they have these smacking bowls that are perfect with shrimp or crawfish and it come with a better rice or garlic noodles with a crab legs as well and that was actually a perfectly proportion meal. It was a great meal and a great price for about 20 bucks for the shrimp order and 40 bucks with the shrimp with crab you can't beat it. The only thing I did not enjoy was the Crawfish egg rolls which I've had in Louisiana before at a different establishment so when I saw them the menu I was excited however they did disappoint; they weren't cooked thoroughly to heat the inside so I guess it was pre-made and it had rice in it so it just didn't Fair like the other one that was just full of crawfish so that was the downside and it was very slow service but that's okay too cuz we were talking and you know whatever. read more

The food was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The crawfish were some of the best I've had, and the menu had great variety. And the dessert was delicious. The service was quick and friendly, and the staff made sure everything was perfect especially our server Franky L. Maybe I didn't order the right items? I ordered food for delivery, my husband and I were so hungry and craving for fried chicken wings. After we got the food and air fired it to make sure it's crispy and nice. However chicken wing was tasteless and awful. I also had a seafood platter with sweet potato fries. Fried shrimp was tasteless too. It tasted like frozen package from supermarket. oysters were so small and I hardly can tell it was fry oyster. Bottom line is I lost my appetite and had to throw away the entire food to the trashcan, It was really hard to swallow. wasted my money! read more

Hello everyone! I'm going to start with the ambiance, nice cozy place. Music playing big Flat screen TVs to enjoy sports. Service is really cool. I came in at lunch, on a Saturday. The server was very nice and friendly. I started with a simple lemonade. Not bad to start. Then I had a Catfish, 6 Shrimp, 3 Oysters plate with fried rice and gumbo. My fish was small and had no seasoning. The shrimp was great with the red sauce. The Oysters was seasoned, just small. The gumbo had good flavor. The food was mediocre and the prices were astronomical. Garlic noodles were mushy, red beans and rice were terrible. They didn't have any flavor and the rice was undercooked. The margaritas are wine based from a machine so very weak in the alcohol department, but the seafood boils had good flavor. Staff was really nice and accommodating. I did like that they have a sink at the back of the restaurant to clean your hands. read more

2nd time here and again I was impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. The food was amazing that fried rice is everything y'all you definitely have to try it. The service was good he was amazing very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is a whole vibe I had a margarita and it was good I was tipsy but not to tipsy I felt good goodt. Best crawfish cafe location that I've been to so far!!! (I've tried Alief and the Heights) The food at the Cypress location was amazing and so satisfying! I got 3 lbs of crawfish with the grail sauce, 2 snow crab clusters with the grail sauce, fried flounder, and the oyster sampler. Everything was delicious! The sizes of the crawfish & snow crab were also decent. The only thing I didn't care for the Vietnamese style oyster. It was just alright and I'll always prefer charbroiled. love love love this place!!! the crawfish is always super juicy, flavorful, and super meaty!!! the garlic noodles is always a MUST get with the crawfish in my opinion it is DELICIOUS. i recently also tried the cheesy crawfish bread... incredible. service is relatively good considering they are usually busy when i come!! vibes are good as well! cheesy crawfish bread - 9/10 so cheesy and yummy crawfish with an egg, sausage and corn - 10/10 !!! read more
