I'm so upset this place didn't work out for us. Outside looks like and it's a big place. They have a Koi pond and the fish are beautiful. When we walked inside it smelled really fishy like a fish market and I know we are coming to eat raw fish but it's makes the environment uncomfortable to eat in. Everything was set up nicely on the counters for the buffet and the server was really kind. However, the food wasn't good. The sushi didn't take fresh and was extra fishy. The hot foods weren't good either. The fried rice, hahachi, and noodles are weren't tasty. It made me feel like I was eating bad sushi. The crab legs were the only thing I was able to actually eat. Even the desserts were bad and low quality. The chocolate fountain was okay but there was barely any fruit for it. Our check came out to $45 or so and it wasn't well spent. This is probably one of the best buffets in West Palm Beach. It's pretty pricey for a Chinese buffet but they have really good lobster. Went with my parents and it was amazing! We know some of the owners because they also own a Chinese restaurant in Margate called Hong Kong Chinese (if you're in the area and want Chinese take out, they're the best!) This buffet was the best Chinese buffet my family and I have ever been to! You know when you go to a buffet there's always at least one thing you put on your plate that you tried and said, "Ehh, it was ok." but didn't finish it. Average buffet. They are very, very slow to refresh sushi rolls, particularly if you take a lot of one item. Some of the sushi you could tell had been sitting around way too long and should have been discarded. The Chinese food portion of the buffet is your standard fare. This restaurant raised their prices, they no longer give a birthday lunch with 3 people, too, make sure you pay for credit card in front of you at register we had funny charges on our credit card in the past here when they take your card and bring it back, who knows if they are taking photos of it and trying to use it, I had two charges from China shortly after and my spouse had one on his ATM used here then at another place, so likely fraudulent activity from this place by servers. This place used to be good, but they will cause their own demise soon. I spoke to the manager and told him that on their website under services it does not say anything about not honoring birthday lunches, they used to last year. This place has declined considerably. Very dirty and unkempt. The bars are dirty, ice cream and sticky all over, just dirty and uncared for. Will the manager could care less about customers or complaints, he never tried to resolve our issues, I have come here for years, but now will never return to this restaurant and all my reviews of them will be negative. They had a chance to make things right and they did not do it. Be careful people using your credit card here, don't come for lunch on your birthday and expect a free lunch with three people, they increased their prices, and overall they have declined in quality, cleanliness, and service. The servers have so much attitude, don't come back to check on you, and overall it is just not as good as it used to be years ago. I normally do not write bad reviews but this experience was very poor on so many levels. No person with a brain or a functioning taste palete could ever rate this place with more than 2 stars. I was suspect of the "All you can eat Lobster" for $19.95 offered on Friday Saturday and Sunday. I even called before going and asked very specifically if it was Maine Lobster with claws and tails and was it unlimited. I was told yes that was all accurate. I called another day just to be totally sure I was not being misled and asked to speak with a manager and was told the same thing. Well, they are liars and here is the truth. They bring out 10 pieces of greasy oil caked lobster in shells cut into pieces about 2 inches by 2 inches and the part they bring out is where the lobster legs meets the lobster body (not tail or claws). There is almost no meat in this part of the lobster and they do not have proper reduced size lobster forks to even get at this tiny pieces of meat. They also delay replacing the lobster about 20 minutes after it is gone leaving patrons standing next to the buffet tray to grab the next 10 pieces which disappear in seconds. You can stay there for 4 hours and not get the equivalent amount of meat in a 1 pound lobster tail. PATHETIC!!!! We complained to staff and they said "more coming" and it was the same nonsense for the 2 hours we were there. The rest of the food was standard chinese buffet stuff...fried rice, various cheap meats, noodles, salads, chicken, tilapia, imitation crab meat, jello and crusty old dry pastries. The only decent thing was the shrimp and it was just OK, typical heavy breaded butterfly shrimp. They did have a sushi bar and the sushi was way under subpar, but some were edible. Mostly mushy and flavorless for most sushi. Wait staff never asked if we needed anything and did not refill our drinks not even once. They have a sign that says if you leave uneaten food they will weigh it and charge each person $8 per pound!!!!! I would have given a score of 2 stars for poor - fair standard cheap chinese buffet environment, but the BLATANT lies on the phone about their phony lobster all you can eat really pissed me off. Never will we go back. Last point, all of our family had stomach problems when we got home, not food poisoning but problems in the restroom from cheap food that does not agree with a stomach that does not eat cheap greasy food.
