I'm not sure what's happening with the food here lately but the last THREE times I've come here it's been underwhelming. First time I ordered the slider, but when I got home it was just a chicken tender in the box. Second time, the slider had the smallest little pinch of coleslaw, the chicken was tough, and had a smashed burger bun so flat it was like not eating any bun at all. Just ordered for a third time today and they barely gave me any fries. I've been coming here since they opened and it's really going downhill. I am using DoorDash, etc. I have been getting a lot of local places! But haven't taken any photos. This time I did! I wasn't feeling 100%, so I didn't want a big meal. And I just got the country style chicken, no sauce. I LOVED my meal!!! The fries were made just right! And the chicken was a delight! Not over breaded and plenty of juicy meat! I was really excited to try this place. As someone who regularly travels to Nashville, I was ready for some hot chicken! I'm all for supporting a local business and especially one willing to be open late but I just left here shaking my head. I got here at 5:45 on a Sunday evening and there was no one ahead of me waiting just a lot of pick up orders. There seemed to be just a girl and a guy working (both with masks at the time of check in)- the girl was professional and to be honest seemed to be the only one actually working. In my time waiting here (20+ minutes), I saw a series of two additional guys cycle behind the cash register - they had previously been sitting and chatting on the other side of the restaurant. They were more worried about what kinds of cars were outside than the customers. All three of the guys failed to wear a mask or wear a mask properly which is incredibly disappointing during this time. They also just had unwrapped cutlery sitting out to grab which wasn't a great practice either during COVID. I would not describe this place as a grab and go restaurant - you should definitely call ahead because even those people had a small wait time. Even though they have an extremely limited menu (I appreciate making things fresh) the wait time was pretty outrageous for two #3 combos (almost 25 minutes). They were busy with Door Dash/GrubHub orders because you could hear the dings but even that seemed chaotic and delayed. I will echo some of the other comments regarding the food - the fries are crinkle cut not steak fries and they come with a sauce very similar to Cain's dipping sauce. I ordered mild and it wasn't spicy at all which was totally fine but definitely different from other hot chicken places I've been. The slider is really a tender on a slider and it's hard to get the right ratio of bread, chicken and slaw. I agree that it could've used more slaw because I found the chicken to be pretty dry. My friend felt hers was a bit dry too and not as hot as expected (she had "hot") but she did rave about the peach ice tea. She also had a side salad and the only dressing option was ranch. My wife saw this place on Yelp recently and said she wanted try it, so she bookmarked it. Since this whole Corona virus happened we have been staying home a lot. Within the past week or so we have been venturing out more to get take out food. Following precautions such as masks and using Clorox wipes a lot. We were going to try take out from one of our favorite locations but discovered they are now closed on Sunday. Because of that my wife said, "Let's try that new chicken place." To which I responded, "Sounds good." And off we went to Crazy D's. With my wife navigating, we drove to the area of the Atlantis casino and found Crazy D's in a small strip mall nearby. We entered the front door to discover that it shares a space with Bazaar European Deli and Cafe. There was no one at the counter for Crazy D's but someone at the Bazaar counter said they would be right there. In less than a minute someone came over and assisted in taking our order. We learned they have been open about a month and that Crazy D's belongs to the son of the owner of Bazaar. We looked at the menu on the TV screen behind the counter and my wife chose the Combo #1, 2 giant tenders with fries and I chose the Combo #2, 2 giant sliders with fries but without slaw and pickles. Cautious, we both decided to get them mild. There are 3 other levels of hot above that. The menu is very simple and straightforward which makes it easy. Inside they have a small dining area with what appeared to be about 10 tables. This area was not in use given the current restrictions. They also have about 4 tables outside. Our order took about 10 to 15 minutes, but now we know they offer call ahead and online ordering which would make it even more convenient. When we opened the containers we were both shocked at the size of the chicken. Everything looked delicious and was prepared exactly how we ordered it. We began eating and both commented it was delicious! The fries and fry sauce were great and wow the chicken was amazing! We both enjoyed the level of spiciness and personally couldn't imagine going any hotter. However, for those of you that love spicy chicken this is the real deal and you will be pleasantly surprised. When they said GIANT chicken tender, they were not lying. I ordered a Combo #1 on GrubHub and I'm impressed. I never had spicy chicken before but I was feeling a little adventurous. I ordered the chicken hot and the chicken is very very hot. This was one of the most flavorful chicken tenders I've had! The fries, toast, and pickles were also a nice compliment to the meal. One concern I had was the price. I'm used to not paying this much for chicken tenders but this is a lot of food. More than I expected. I had enough to eat it for lunch and dinner. The chicken tenders are just so large! My experience ordering on GrubHub was great as well. The restaurant cooked the food on time and added a neat promotional flyer with my food. We stopped by Crazy D's Hot Chicken while driving through Reno and needed some yummy late night food. This place did NOT disappoint! Even though it looks unassuming from the outside, and there was no line at 10 PM, the chicken slider was delicious and the fries were amazing. I was already salivating when I saw and smelled another patron's food come out! We had ordered two Chicken Sliders with Fries (Combo #4), mild and medium. They were portioned, the chicken was tender, and those fries were cooked to perfection--crisp on the outside and super soft on the inside. The fries has a light Cajun seasoning and the sauce was super tasty. No ketchup needed. The cashier and waiter who helped us was super chill and nice--much needed after over 10 hours on the road. Welp, I gave in and tried Crazy D's Hot chicken because it's open late, and they're on my delivery app so it worked out. I ordered our food through DoorDash. I ordered one slider without coleslaw, one slider with coleslaw, fries, extra sauce and a peach tea. Honestly, I was so disappointed I could've cried. I probably did shed a tear. The peach tea was really good. Both of our sliders came without coleslaw which was really upsetting for me. It was so dry I couldn't eat it...so I actually ordered a whole new sandwich to be delivered. With coleslaw... just so I could try it the way it's supposed to be. I used credits that I got for marking my first sandwich as "missing items" on the app, to help soften the blow of ordering a second time. All said and done I paid $40 with fees. I feel the need to note that this review will have nothing to do with DoorDash. It's to whoever read the ticket and assumed both sandwiches were with no coleslaw when only one was marked that way, and my thoughts on the food itself. (My DoorDash itself was quick, and efficient.) The chicken itself is very flavorful, and seasoned well. The meat is thick and fresh and arrived hot and juicy. The dry seasoning is really yummy and I would even try it a bit hotter than the medium I got. However, even after reordering my sandwich the way it's supposed to come, in my opinion there wasn't enough coleslaw. Mental note to ask for more next time. The sauce was good and hell even the bun was good although a little dark for my liking. The fries were so soooo disappointing. We thought we would be getting the steak fries in the picture on DoorDash...and instead we got crinkle fries that were unevenly cooked and cold, and you could tell that they were old. I found out after the fact that they have at least mentioned on their website that they switched fries. But I didn't see that. All I saw was the door dash picture of amazing looking steak fries... and was so soooo sad when crinkle cut fries arrived, unevenly cooked. All in all, I wanted to like this place and the chicken is good. But would I return and pay all this money for what I got? I'm just not sure. Maybe to try the chicken by itself. Wanted to try somewhere new with my kids. The three of us went in around 12. The girl behind the counter didn't say anything. I figured out that we order and then sit down. For the three of us it was $49!! No drinks. I asked if we wait or just get a table. Apparently we go sit at a table. Weird vibe as it's connected to another business. I ordered from here for myself and my 9yr old daughter. I'll start by saying that I used postmates for delivery. I got a #4 hot. I'm a heat lover so from now on I will be getting the Crazy Hot, the Hot was spizy, but I like to sweat a little lol. The combo includes a chicken slider with a side of fries and special sauce. I also ordered a side salad, with Caesar dressing( definitely homemade dressing). I ordered my daughter a #1 country style. This includes 2 fried chicken strips, seasoned with no heat and a side of fries, a slice of bread, pickles and special sauce. I got an estimated time from postmates of 45-50mins. Not only did I get it in 35 mins, but when it arrived it was hot and still crispy. This is by far the best Hot chicken I've had. My daughters 2 strips were huge, seasoned nice and crispy. I've eating from canes multiple years and I love the sauce they make. Never thought I would find a better one until yesterday when I tried Crazy D's. D's Chicken D's Chicken D's Chicken that's basically all I have been hearing for the past month or so from a number of people. I really hadn't even heard of this place at all but for a new restaurant/eatery TJ have the courage to open up during these times...we'll that I had to support and check out. Walking in is a little weird. The place is split with a grocery store/coffee spot of some sort. The side of the "restaurant" is nice but when we got there was completely empty. I absolutely hate when I walk into a spot and no one else is there, but during these times I understand why. My wife and I went with the Combo 1, Combo 2, a lemonade and mango soda. Came out to be a little over $30, which felt like a bit much for fried chicken but for the quantity and quality of food I was ok with. Our food took about 20min to come but during that time we saw probably close to 10 delivery order go out the door. So they seem to be doing well. There was a young gal working the register for us and she was really polite and energetic. We asked for a couple of things like ranch and extra napkins which she was happy to get. We tried the Hot and Medium heat options on both our meals and we agreed that the Medium was more flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The Hot option just added a ton more spice powder which we didn't enjoy and thought took away from flavor. Overall, we enjoyed the place. The fries as a side weren't amazing but were good and went well with our combos. Look forward to coming back. read more

After making multiple trips to Nashville for work related projects and missing out on my coworker's trips for Hot Chicken, hot chicken finally and literally came to me here in Reno. I ordered lunch through the Yelp app, which is addicting itself and lunch was delivered through Grub Hub. I am glad I started with the mild version of the chicken breasts. The spice does have a kick to it, but it almost tastes like a BBQ potato chip spice. pretty tasty and I also liked the fries though I'm not much of a french fry person. The slider was 2 chicken breasts. Suprisingly very juicy. I like the dipping sauce. Happy to finally cross Hot Chicken off my bucket list. So happy to see variety restaurants come to Reno! Even with all the volume and madness of their anniversary sale this last weekend in March, Nae at the counter was patient and friendly. My food order was accurate and they let me use my own plastic container. I get it, CD's, styro holds heat better but I'm happy to bring my own reusable and I'm thankful you let me! $1 sliders don't come around often so you'd better follow them now on social media and plan accordingly when the deal drops. Glad we tried it because it was a pretty good spicy chicken sandwich. I got the sandwich that came with an extra chicken. I got one below the spiciest, but next time I'm going all the way. It was spicy but I have a spicy pallet from southeast Asia. It can always be more spicy. If there is any downside, we had to wait 15 minutes so it's not fast food. I guess that's a good thing b/c they're making it fresh. The cashier also forgot my friend's drink which I'll give him a pass since it seems like a 2-person operation. My wife ordered the Caesar salad which looks a lot like Costco's, but that's fine. It's her "diet" food while I pigged out on their yummy sandwich. I've only had Crazy D's to go I've never eaten inside. It is kind of in a weird location, there is indoor seating but the food is absolutely fire. If you are in a hurry I would place and order before you get there since it does take time to cook the chicken. The combo number one comes with two huge tenders and fries both which are crispy and cooked well. They also give you some crazy d's, which is sweet and salty. I got the tenders in the mild, and it was pretty mild. I would love to try and hurt the medium flavor. They do have ranch which is a bonus. Honestly, the best thing I had was the crazy Mac! The macaroni was super tender and flavorful and the chicken and the crazy D's sauce was on it made it 10 times better and honestly made it made it extra yummy. Never been to Crazy D's before but it was pushing 9 o'clock and we were hungry and they were still delivering, so we ordered up a feast, as you can see. These strips looked weird at first and slightly burnt to a crisp but man oh man as you cut into one you can see the pure white meat glistening with bliss, just waiting to be eaten. Yum, and the sauce...this hit just the spot. My -1 star is for the fries. Conveniently located in the same plaza as Atlantis and the Tesla chargers, so it's a huge parking lot with an abundance of free parking. We usually take a walk around when we need to charge the car, so we decided to give this place a try. They share a space with Bazaar, the European market, so you can order and then browse the market as you wait if you wanted to. As I checked in on Yelp, I happily noticed the 15% discount! My partner can't handle spice but I lovvvvveeee it, so we got Combo # 3 and were able to make the giant tender CRAZY hot for me and the giant slider country style for him. During these COVID times, masks seem to be worn by everyone except when eating at your table and they had hand sanitizer at the front. We got our food about 15 minutes after we ordered, and took it home to eat. Just kidding. It didn't make it home. We dug right in on the car ride home because who wants to eat soggy chicken or fries???
