This is my husband's and my favorite date night restaurant. Two walls are lined with booths and the rest of the space is bar and tables. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. My husband and I rotate what we get. Sometimes we get two rolls and other times we share a 3-choice bento. Theres no way to go wrong. it seems more popular these days which is great. We stopped by last night for dinner with friends in the area and was surprised with how great of a restaurant this is! Located in a small strip mall on the main street of Katella, we did not know what to expect with its unassuming exterior. Inside is nice and cozy with intimate lighting and great decor for a sushi restaurant. The service was excellent and always attentive. We loved the Chirashi bowl, filled with an assortment of fresh fish and generous portions. My wife enjoyed her Rising Sun combination as well. Came here earlier tonight and had the chirashi bowl and rising sun sushi! Fish quality was pretty good and the slices of fish were pretty thick. Rice quality was also good and not too vinegary. We definitely ordered too much for 2 people so had plenty of leftovers to take home. Walked in & were seated immediately -- service was pretty efficient and would definitely come back here again! So, we ordered via doordash and got quite a bit of sushi. Only for about a quarter of the order to arrive. I immediately called and got a manager. She was super pleasant and tried her hardest, but my review is due to frustration and the establishment not realizing we pay extra fees and expedite costs and membership to utilize door dash, so when you get an order wrong. It creates so much drama. Its no longer convenient because now im getting in a car to go get items. The rest of our items (edamame) is now cold. One of us sits and waits while the other one has to go be inconvenienced and we paid extra to not go thru this. So to hear a new server input it wrong and they will give a couple pieces extra for the inconvenience. While we said ok, we actually paid for all that in charges alone for a service we didnt get. The workers at these establishments need to be careful and considerate of the customers experience. I asked for extra wasabi ans ginger on each and every item I ordered. To receive 2 Wasabi and 2 ginger (normal amount) something so simple apparently super difficult for the new servers. My hubby drove over there and sat half an hour to wait for an order that should have been convenient and delivered. I even paid priority fees. Again, I felt really bad for how overwhelmed the manager girl sounded. Sadly, its the server who entered it, my receipt says Zeke, but people's experience is what makes us choose to come back or not. So now hubby is coming home to freezing edamame and warm sushi. Thumbs down this time. I hope we have better future experiences. read more

I came here on a Saturday afternoon after my husband and I had to change up lunch plans at the last minute. We got seated right away, which was nice. They brought out waters and were very on top of their refills. They shared their current special which is an all day Happy Hour where most rolls are BOGO 50% off. At least at the time of this post, they had buy one sushi roll, get the second half-off, and they had combo meals, which were fairly reasonable (one item, two item, three item). Sushi, sashimi, salmon collar and yellowtail collar are all available as items within the dinner combos. I think there is a small upcharge for sashimi and yellowtail collar. It's an adorable little place. Even though it's not big, they were very accommodating of our large party without any reservations. We have been eating at Crazy RockN Sushi in Stanton for years, and the sushi rolls have always been excellent. The Paradise roll is one of my favorites and I always include that in my order. But during this visit , the Paradise roll and the Mountain roll mainly consisted of rice and had very little sushi fish and fillings. The fish on top was sliced paper thin too. I don't know what happened, did the restaurant change to a new sushi chef? Why are they becoming so stingy now? The interior is bright and clean , they bump the tunes so its upbeat and lively They have a robot that you can request to deliver your food to the table that couples with the kids menu make this fun for little ones . Today our server was young so i didnt really expect stellar service but i was wrong . Joon was excellent - his suggestion of the zen roll was spot on! Joon bussed our table , greated us and took our order .
