This was our first time coming here tonight and it was amazing. I got the caliente roll which was very delicious and spicy. The rainbow roll was delicious and fresh. The interior is bright and clean , they bump the tunes so its upbeat and lively They have a robot that you can request to deliver your food to the table that couples with the kids menu make this fun for little ones . Today our server was young so i didnt really expect stellar service but i was wrong . Joon was excellent - his suggestion of the zen roll was spot on! Yum! Called in to order the Fat Ninja and Super Philly Roll for takeout, was ready in about 15 minutes. Its a really nice interior, dim lighting and booths along the walls. We have been eating at Crazy RockN Sushi in Stanton for years, and the sushi rolls have always been excellent. The Paradise roll is one of my favorites and I always include that in my order. But during this visit , the Paradise roll and the Mountain roll mainly consisted of rice and had very little sushi fish and fillings. The fish on top was sliced paper thin too. I don't know what happened, did the restaurant change to a new sushi chef? Why are they becoming so stingy now? This is like my 4th time coming here and I am always satisfied after. Usually the time I come, there are not many people so the staff is mainly focused on us. Always had a great service. The ambiance is a bit awkward when it's just us because there is usually no music being played and the tv is usually off. But sometimes silence is nice haha. I forgot what I ordered, but the sushi is always good! The fish is fresh and doesn't have that fishy smell, it is also very flavorful and not bland, they know how to make their sauces. They don't put too much rice in their sushi so the balance of fish and rice is great, you're paying more for the fish not the rice. For some of the fried sushi, it was perfectly crispy and not soggy despite having sauce on it. Overall, the price is great for the amount of sushi you are getting, and the fish is always fresh. Crazy Rock'N Sushi has my vote! We stopped in after reading such positive yelp reviews. Their staff was very friendly, the restaurant was clean and had quite a few tables. It seemed like their take out line was non-stop (always a good sign!) They have a huge menu and their specialty rolls were all buy one get one 50% off, a great deal!! However the most recent time I have been, both me and my boyfriend had received food poisoning. at first i thought it was just him having normal stomach issues, but then I got them too which was weird because I never get stomach problems. Service- great .. attentive and great when I asked for suggestions or what was their favorite. This place is small and intimate as a lot of authentic Japanese restaurants are usually. Although what gave it way that the sushi chefs were not Japanese, was how much they were chatting. We dine out a lot! Japanese is one of our favorites to dine in and never have I experienced listening to sushi chefs chat so much. Our whole dinner experience was me listening to the chefs chatting away. Btw at one time of my life I was manager at a Chinese eatery establishment and listening to the chef's conversation they're not Japanese. Came here around 6pm on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy, so we seated right away. The crowds started to pick up real fast around 7pm, so I would advise going before then to make sure you don't have to wait too long. The two servers we had were really nice and quick to service us. We got two of their appetizers, the baked mussels and fried calamari, which both were very delicious. They were promoting BOGO on their rolls, so we got four to try. All were good and tasted pretty fresh, but nothing special in my opinion. If you're craving sushi and want to be in and out, you can still definitely grab some at this place. One thing I didn't like was that Diet Pepsi and Sierra Mist were the only refillable drinks. We ordered from Crazy Rock'N Sushi since they offered a BOGO 50% deal last month. You cannot make the order online. It has to be placed over the phone. I called in around 6pm on a Friday evening to place my order. The staff was very friendly and suggested their favorite rolls for us to try. Here's what we ordered: + Hot Night Roll + Caterpillar Roll + Sunrise Roll + Hungry Sweetie Everything cost us a little over $50 with the discount since the rolls were about $13-$15 each. The rolls took awhile to come out as they were busy and understaffed so it was understandable. We were starving and were excited to dig into our rolls. However, a lot of the rolls fell apart because it would have too much rice and little fish. One of the rolls was loaded with tempura flakes but it was extra stale and had no flavor. It was pretty disappointing. Perhaps it was just a busy day and they rushed with our order. We're not sure but we don't see ourselves doing takeout from here again anytime soon. read more
