This is like my 4th time coming here and I am always satisfied after. Usually the time I come, there are not many people so the staff is mainly focused on us. Always had a great service. The ambiance is a bit awkward when it's just us because there is usually no music being played and the tv is usually off. But sometimes silence is nice haha. I forgot what I ordered, but the sushi is always good! The fish is fresh and doesn't have that fishy smell, it is also very flavorful and not bland, they know how to make their sauces. They don't put too much rice in their sushi so the balance of fish and rice is great, you're paying more for the fish not the rice. For some of the fried sushi, it was perfectly crispy and not soggy despite having sauce on it. Overall, the price is great for the amount of sushi you are getting, and the fish is always fresh. However the most recent time I have been, both me and my boyfriend had received food poisoning. at first i thought it was just him having normal stomach issues, but then I got them too which was weird because I never get stomach problems. First off food is delicious and well prepared. This is one of the first sushi spots that the rolls I ordered didn't fall apart and I was able to shove into my mouth. Service- great .. attentive and great when I asked for suggestions or what was their favorite. This place is small and intimate as a lot of authentic Japanese restaurants are usually. Although what gave it way that the sushi chefs were not Japanese, was how much they were chatting. We dine out a lot! Japanese is one of our favorites to dine in and never have I experienced listening to sushi chefs chat so much. Our whole dinner experience was me listening to the chefs chatting away. Btw at one time of my life I was manager at a Chinese eatery establishment and listening to the chef's conversation they're not Japanese. Came here around 6pm on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy, so we seated right away. The crowds started to pick up real fast around 7pm, so I would advise going before then to make sure you don't have to wait too long. The two servers we had were really nice and quick to service us. We got two of their appetizers, the baked mussels and fried calamari, which both were very delicious. They were promoting BOGO on their rolls, so we got four to try. All were good and tasted pretty fresh, but nothing special in my opinion. If you're craving sushi and want to be in and out, you can still definitely grab some at this place. One thing I didn't like was that Diet Pepsi and Sierra Mist were the only refillable drinks. We ordered from Crazy Rock'N Sushi since they offered a BOGO 50% deal last month. You cannot make the order online. It has to be placed over the phone. I called in around 6pm on a Friday evening to place my order. The staff was very friendly and suggested their favorite rolls for us to try. Here's what we ordered: + Hot Night Roll + Caterpillar Roll + Sunrise Roll + Hungry Sweetie Everything cost us a little over $50 with the discount since the rolls were about $13-$15 each. The rolls took awhile to come out as they were busy and understaffed so it was understandable. We were starving and were excited to dig into our rolls. However, a lot of the rolls fell apart because it would have too much rice and little fish. One of the rolls was loaded with tempura flakes but it was extra stale and had no flavor. It was pretty disappointing. Perhaps it was just a busy day and they rushed with our order. We're not sure but we don't see ourselves doing takeout from here again anytime soon. read more

A very close walk to my friend's apartment and along the sidewalk of a large mall that has a lot of food and drink choices, we were in the mood for sushi and decided to give this one a go. I highly recommend their baked salmon roll. I love salmon, and they dont actually put too much rice. I thought it was really good value, although this is a favorite that im pointing out, i taste everything that they put in it, and its fresh out of the oven, too. So, its not on the menu, but when you go there on certain days, they have specials written on an LED board which you can order from. I had their sashimi plate. All fish dish served fresh and enough to feed two people. This might be unusual to most people, but ever heard of tempura ice cream? Well, its deep friend that the outer part pretty much becomes a shell, not dont let "Deep fry" put you off, its not oily, and its actually pretty yummy. The portion was enough for me and a friend. You can come here with a small group and you can have tables put together as well. Went to my office in Garden Grove today and looked up sushi places and decided to try Crazy Rock'N Sushi. Super cute inside! Sat at the sushi bar and was greeted with a smile and a welcome! We ordered the Volcano roll, hot night and the red dragon roll. The sushi chef Roger blessed us with some amazing fresh albacore and the sweet egg. He explained all of the rolls. The fish in each roll was fresh and flavorful. The red dragon roll hits your taste buds like nobodies business. It's fresh and tangy and leaves you wanting more! I can't wait to come back and try one of the bento boxes! They have so much fantastic looking food on their menu. There is literally something for everyone. I found this place on Yelp and was very excited due to the reviews and the photos. I'm not sure if today is an off day, but the sushi and food were very, very bland. We got the Hawaiian roll, the Alaskan roll, and the baked salmon roll. They all tasted like a California roll with a few toppings thrown on. There was no passion in this food; the roll with all the onions on top was very bitter and lacked flavor. Literally, all the rolls were base California rolls with things on top; it was highly underwhelming. The sauce for the sesame chicken was bottled sauce you can buy at any local market We tried to order two rolls, but they didn't have the ingredients for it, which was disappointing, being that it was very early in the day and we ate here I firmly expected the food here to be freshly made for the price per roll, and it appears nothing is fresh or made with a level of passion that makes you feel wowed when you take a bite. I've bought sushi from a grocery store that tasted better than what we had today. We also ordered edamame, and they used garlic minced in a jar, which is very disappointing. When I think of sushi, I think of everything being fresh and made-to-order, not jarred items and bland-tasting food. Overall, we won't return here again solely based on the food experience and the uniformity of all the food we ordered being bland and made in a manner that gives off laziness and no effort. My family and I are total foodies and have been looking for "the spot" for same delicious sushi, well, we found it! When we walked in we could see the Japanese theme all over the place, from the decor to how the staff was greeting everyone it was very nice. The food, wow, it was one of the best sushi's I've had in a very long time. The sashimi and sushi were so fresh and delicious that left us with a sensation of "I want more and more". The proportion of protein to rice was spot on and then, we tried their rolls which were so so good, my favorite was the baked salmon but my wife just loved the yellowtail carpatio and sushi, it was just so fresh and tasty. Best sushi place I've been to in forever! I went on a Friday with my bf, and the next Friday I was back with him and another friend again! If you can, I would highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar area. The people are SO FUNNY and so nice! I love interacting with people during meals (and I definitely feel like a VIP hehe). Destiny 69 - Shrimp on Shrimp with eel on top- I'm a sucker for eel, any sushi place I go to leads to an automatic eel choice- and this one is so worth it! A spicy, crunchy roll. IDK - Albacore, SO creamy,  a little bit of spice, and crispy fried onions on top...How could you go wrong here. Skinny Jinny - This is a whole mess of stuff- Shrimp tempura, spicy shrimp & crab, spicy tuna, fresh scallops, spicy mayo, ponzu, sriracha, and crunchy flakes. Sounds like it would be a "kitchen sink" type of roll, but the flavors worked so well together and it didn't just taste like a mishmash of things. Snow White - A fresher roll with spicy tuna and shrimp tempura and ponzu sauce- seared yellowtail on the top. This one wasn't a favorite of the tables unfortunately, though I definitely enjoyed it more than they did! It was a nice balance to our otherwise creamy and heavy rolls. Whatever Roll - Okay, this is one of the main reasons I love this place. I am a lover of mysteries (is that an indication of bad gambling habits? Perhaps.) and this roll is literally just chef's choice and by god it did NOT disappoint- the display and the amount of fish we got for the $ was incredible.
