I have been coming to Creek Ratz for years. They have some of the best bartenders at the marsh walk. But lately, the good bartenders are given the slow shifts. They have people that don't know what they're doing working often on the busiest times of the year. I think there was actually a trainee working on witches night, one of the biggest nights of the year Seems like you would have the best bartenders like Jenn, Adrian and Lindsay work during busy times. They wait on you quickly with a smile and have the best personality. They are the reason I come to Creek Ratz. I'd hate to take my business elsewhere. The only recommendations: crab stuffed mushrooms were breaded and fried. I took the breading off. Lose the breading! They will taste better and it will cost u less. We were in Myrtle Beach for a few days and the bartender at our hotel said we should check out Murrell's Inlet for some good seafood so we headed that way and managed to find Creek Ratz. The street was packed and there was an open parking spot right up front so we decided to take the chance. Overall the food was ok. The fried shrimp was good and the clam chowder was ok but the nachos we ordered as an appetizer were terrible. I know you're probably thinking, "what kind of psychopath orders nachos at a seafood restaurant?" My girlfriend is that kind of psychopath. They came out with fried chicken on them which I thought was odd considering it came with chili as well. To top it off, the nachos showed up after our meals did. The outside section had a great view of the marsh. It was a beautiful day out and there was a nice breeze so we asked to sit outside. If you don't like birds hovering over you at all times trying to steal pieces of food then I'd definitely recommend sitting inside. read more

Really cool spot right off the marsh. Offers indoor and outdoor seating. We posted up at the bar and enjoyed oysters, Grouper sandwhich, Bang Bang tacos and some fried pickles. Everything was great. I had the mahi mahi tacos which weren't bad. But the sweet potato fries had a ton of sugar on them along with cinnamon. This, to me, is simply not acceptable. I do not want a dessert food to go along with my dinner. Sweet potato's are already naturally sweet. Adding a ton of sugar and cinnamon is not appetizing at all. I came in on a beautiful night with my mother and boyfriend. We put our names on the list and didn't go far as we waited to be seated, maybe 20 minutes. We sat outside, nice open plan, and its right on the pier by the boats....nice views. There was a live band playing there that was really good. Our waitress was problem one of two though. When she came over to us, she was immediately erratic and I thought possibly on something. She took our orders and when the food came out, I had to ask her 2 separate times for any utensils. She would complain to us about the other tables. We asked for refills and never got them. Additionally she got the order wrong, brought out a completely different appetizer, and wrong side dishes. And problem 2....Going down, the food was okay, though not cooked as we'd asked. Unfortunately I had a bad stomach all night after. I don't recommend. read more

Outside bar closed on July 4th before the fireworks display. Bar was packed with people and the bartenders Kiersten and MacKenzie quickly gave last call right before 11. Numerous people came up to get drinks and were denied service. read more

This place has the rudest people working as hosts in the Marshwalk. You seat people this is not a presidential appointment. We were cold and sat at a table that had been empty for at least twenty minutes. We sat there at least 20 minutes longer. A hostess then told us we could not and would not be served because there was a wait. We told her we had been there a while and no one had asked us to leave and it was on the dance floor. So we left. About ten minutes later someone else wandered in and took the table. No one was ever seated at the table by any host, hostess or employee. We are all locals. read more

Simple quick eats. Nothin too fancy. The hush that came with my chicken tenders were a bit over breaded and hard for my liking. Meanwhile the tenders were very lightly breaded. We have been coming to this place for forever. My favorite has always been the steamed shrimp as they are very well done and they have Old Bay (a must-have for me). Went to Creek Ratz for the second time being today. Our first time dining there was great, fast service, friendly staff and then today came. We won't be going back. Our server never came to take our drink order so the manager got our drinks. It took between 45 minutes to 1 hour to get our meal, the manager brought that out to us as well. The server came around at the end, we asked her for some boxes and a to go drink cup, she never brought those out, we had to stop the owner and ask him for those items. The managers excuse was they were short staffed. Um, no, they weren't short staffed, the restaurant wasn't even busy. The manager did discount our bill by 50% and apologized for the wait. I felt bad, you could tell she was extremely frustrated with the staff. An older woman was dining there and she chair broke while she was sitting on it. We won't be going back there. I read more

All of it came out right after we inquired about our meals. At this point all the meals were WARM my wife's soup came out cold. The waitress never checked on our meals or offered refills. Food seemed like it would have been good but it was cold and had been sitting for a while by the time we got it. Really long wait. My flounder had so much seasoning on it I couldn't eat it. We went here for the first time on our vacation. We sat outside and enjoyed the view of the water. I saw blackened Mahi on cheese grits on the menu and asked the waitress if it was very spicy. She said it was a little bit, but I can't handle any, so she said I could get it grilled. It was the most delicious meal that I had all week. We were having our first beach trip since 2019. Were very excited to eat fresh seafood and enjoy being out! We entered the restaurant and was faced with the hostess who never looked up at us, and just said how many. We said 5 and she did not respond at all. I asked if there was outside seating, and she mumbled yes. She walked off with the menus but never said anything to us. We looked at each other, then tried to find where she went. She went outside and placed menus on the table and walked away never saying this is your table or anything whatsoever!!!! I have never in my life had such a bad experience with the attitude of a restaurant employee. You could feel the environment was not good. None of the employees looked like they enjoyed their jobs. We decided not to say anything about the hostess, then the food came - or at least it was described as food. One meal had fried shrimp that had not been shelled. The hushpuppies were burned and tasted terrible. The cheese grits were thick and had a weird taste. There was one nice thing that happened. We had a great server named Paige. We felt so bad for her having to work in that toxic environment, so we tipped her very well. The restaurant is no longer crowded like it was years ago. There were not many patrons there and the restaurants around it were packed. So, our impression was that the environment was taking this restaurant down. DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. Love Creek Ratz! This place can get crowded so try to go at a good time. Great view of the marsh with lots of other restaurants nearby on the boardwalk. This one is special as it has live music most nights (check their site) and has a bit more seating especially outdoor. The food is solid especially the fried stuff, decent prices too but I would say you come here mainly for the atmosphere. read more

This is the worlds worst restaurant i have ever been to!! me and my family waited 6hours from the time we got there till we got our first dish! And another 2 hours cause they messed up half of our order and didnt even get one of our food, so we had to leave!
