location/seating: from the start i knew this place was a vibe. cute spot and nice seasonal decorations. some of the seats were a bit tight, and more open seating lacked proper shading but they have umbrellas to adjust so that made it all better. food/service: food was amazing. i'm always hesitant with prices in the bay, but the prices here were fair and the portions are HUGE. i was so happy to have my moneys worth as the food was such good quality and came in moderately large quantity. the food and pastries was def 10/10 i just wish we had more hand holding in the food ordering process. i was a bit confused and didn't realize we were supposed to order the food at the front. als since there are no traditional servers, you can only rely on the menu and pictures online to know what you're getting. i got something i have never eaten in my life, and i was weary given i had NO idea what it was and i was only able to imagine. but man was it it good... was not disappointed. i think my only feedback to possibly improve the customer experience is to really be mindful of special requests made by the customers on things on the menu. Like my mom had ordered something without cheese (since cheese was a soemthing the dish came with) and they didn't realize our food had cheese until the food had gotten to our table. I ordered delivery because I was sick and opening the to-go bag from Crepevine was the happiest I'd ever been opening a food delivery bag. Usually when I order to-go from other restaurants there's no utensils or sauce even if I asked for it. But this location does NOT disappoint there was great portions, the same quality, yummy food in-restaurant, and even extra ketchup and my utensils. The food came fast, was well presented and was more than we could eat. I appreciate the generous serving sizes as I hate leaving anywhere hunger! OHHH MYYY GOODNESSSS!! THE FOOD HERE IS AMAAAZZING!!! I got the pasta of course and it did not dissapoint! It was so creamy and cheesy and had a lot of spinach and the salmon was cooked to literal PERFECTION!! Everything about the Bari pasta was outstanding, I would definitely recommend. The Tuscany Crepe was super good and so was the Santa Fe scramble. They definitely don't skimp on the portions and everything was so tasty! I liked the coffee but it wasn't anything crazy, still tasty though! The service was super nice, you get the menus and when you decide what you want, you go inside, order, and pay and you get the food pretty quick! The waitress came and refilled our glasses and checked on us to make sure everything was good throughout the meal which was nice! The place was also pretty full, it was a hot day so we sat outside in their seating area and it was nicely decorated and the scenery wasn't bad. this is the perfect restaurant for any meal of the day! they have a wide assortment of crepes, pastas, and sandwiches, and i love the incorporation of different cultures' flavors. you order first, then sit, but i came earlier than my friend and the waitress was so kind to let me sit first and wait! they have outside and indoor seating, and it's such a nice vibe to catch up with friends/family. the service is pretty fast as well. the philly - i absolutely loved this crepe! there was plenty of filling, and the beef was not too hard or chewy. i got it with sweet potato fries that were just okay, but i did like the side salad it came with. thai - my friend got this with the shrimp, and she thought it was a great portion and well seasoned. nothing extraordinary, but a good, filling lunch. a solid spot for a weekend outing! read more

Crepevine did not disappoint. I hadn't been in a few years and was happy to be in the area. They had the cutest outdoor seating area with beautiful and lush plants. I ordered the Tuscany Crepe with a bowl of fruit and there was also an order of pumpkin pancakes ordered. The Tuscany Crepe was divine! The taste was a symphony in my mouth with the way the flavors came together. The salad was good and the potatoes could have used a tad more seasoning. The fruit was fresh and delicious. I've went here on several occasions and each time was an amazing experience! My go to order is the Alba sweet crepe or the New Orleans eggs benedict. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service here is always on point for each time I've come. I've taken my grandmother who has a hard time walking to eat here and the servers were so welcoming/helped us get seated right away! Love this place! I got the Santa Fe Crepe and it was delicious! It was very flavorful and the potatoes were nice and crispy. When we arrived, we waited in line for about 10-15 minutes but our food arrived fast! We sat outdoors and it was a very nice outdoor sitting area. Something has definitely changed since our last visit! We visited today, 05-10-25, I ordered the same thing that I always do, Tuscany with a gluten free crepe. My favorite go to! The service was not as good as usual, when we saw people getting served that ordered way after us, we caught the attention of a supervisor. we finally got served with his assistance. I was very disappointed with the taste, absolutely flavorless and the crepe had a weird after taste. It was about an hour after when I had to run to the bathroom with intestinal issues. There was also a sign on the door notifying of new ownership. My experience this time was not good! I'll go to the one in Oakland by Rockridge. I've never been disappointed there, so far! read more

Haven't been to a Crepevine in a couple of years, but this morning's breakfast was better than I remember. The San Francisco crepe with smoked salmon, spinach and grilled red onions was succulent, and so large that the leftovers will make a great dinner for my family later. I got fries (perfect, crunchy!) and a salad (great vinaigrette!) on the side. Coffee was good and strong and plentiful. I don't know why this place has only 3.5 stars. The young staff was super attentive and kind, there's flamenco playing overhead, and the dining area and restroom are spotless. Good job! read more

I ordered the tri berry crepe (a sweet crepe) and I'm a vegetarian and halfway through eating my crepe, I bite into a piece of meat. Seriously. Brisket or something. Absolutely disgusting. Somehow it was mixed in with the fruit and the chocolate sauce so it was disguised but it was undoubtedly a piece of meat. Furthermore, I also really would not recommend anything they have with blueberries because they give you old blueberries that are crushed and dry and gross. Lastly, the first water cup they gave me had a small piece of lettuce stuck to it. The second cup they gave me had a coffee ground in it. Can't they do a better job cleaning the cups?? I've been a fan of Crepevine from the first day I stepped foot in the SF one many, many years ago. I've been to practically all of their locations. I don't know what it is exactly, but they clearly have a formula that works. The food and the staff are always top notch. CV is one of the most overlooked restaurants in the Bay Area, I know this because every time we decide to go to the one in Berkeley, there's never that ridiculous Berkeley line you always see at every mediocre restaurant (I'm talking to you, Cheeseboard...I'm gonna say pizza??). I got a sweet crepe with strawberries and blueberries inside, crepe was thick and the flavor wasn't my flavor however it definitely fit all my fruit n was good so id rate it a 8/10. for my side i just got fries and a chai latter however it tasted more like horchata - not horrible! just not what i was craving lol was expecting a vietnamese chai latter however still a good drink. The food was definitely a bit pricey, but the portions are HUGE so I don't think it was unreasonable. They also charged us some credit card fee that wasn't posted anywhere? It was less than a dollar so whatever, but it did irk me a bit. The food was pretty good but nothing special, but it was definitely a lot and I got tired of eating it. As great as the food is at this restaurant, after having multiple horrible experiences with staff, I vowed to never return here for the entirety of my time at Berkeley as well as informed all of my clients and colleagues to stop giving this location service. The atmosphere for whatever reason is hostile. My first horrible experience was when I arrived late to a lunch with my staffers. My two employees had already ordered their food, as well as my order but did not order me a drink. What our waitress arrived I asked her to add a Coke to my order and forever reason she acted as if I was inconveniencing her as she already printed the receipt. I had to ask her two more times before she finally provided me my Coke, but the fact that she dismissed my order when I'm giving them further business and more money bewildered me. The second instance was months later when I caught up with a friend and we went there on a not so busy Sunday. The employee that approached us was a young Hispanic woman, and we asked to be seated outside. She was reluctant and pushed for us to sit indoors despite the weather being nice and the business was much hotter. When I asked to sit as a specific seating location which was empty she countered that defiantly with attitude stating how those seats were for disabled people. Well, I responded that I had ADHD and asked her if that counted. She reacted as if I told her to F off let us sit down and never returned to our table. we waited for 30 minutes after noticing that later patrons are being served and seated while we were completely ignored. Multiple other staffers walked right by our table and persistently looked at us, but wouldn't say anything. Growing frustrated, the two of us stopped talking and listened to any conversations that were coming from staff inside of the business. we overheard her telling multiple staffers how she was refusing the service after they asked how we weren't getting served. Instead of making a scene calling her out for a horrible choice of words mistreating to disabled people and her God awful attitude like I said earlier in this post, I notified all of my fellow colleagues, my employees plus friends and family, and I have never returned to this place of business. I wish I had written this sooner on yelp as this occurred two years ago. But driving by today and seeing how empty it was reminded me of how awful of an experience I had and that I had to ensure that I didn't go unnoticed on this platform. I did contact ownership and never received any response. I also left a review on Google which reason it was removed not too long after. I cannot attest how the service may be today, but if it was as disgusting and unwelcoming, as it was two years ago, it's no surprise to me, driving by that. It was a Ghost Town and a shell of how great this restaurant could be if they actually had qualified and respectful employees serving their patrons. I can proudly and justifiably say that as a result of these experiences they have lost thousands of dollars of business due to the losses incurred from me severing my patronage and all of my people no longer going. Crepevine is one of my most-visited spots in Gourmet Ghetto. The portion sizes are always large for the price and the service always fast and friendly. They've done a great job with their outdoor dining set-up. It's so quaint during the day and cozy at night. Sometimes I forget I'm eating on busy Shattuck Avenue. My go-to orders are the Tuscany Crepe or the Florentine Crepe. Both are delicious and come with a side salad and home fries. Recently, I tried the Chicken Parmesan sandwich, an item that is not on their main menu. The sandwich came with fries and Caesar salad. The chicken was thinly sliced and crispy, nestled on a small layer of arugula and topped with garlicy tomato sauce. The parmesan cheese could have been better melted and the whole thing could be improved with less bread and more filling. While it definitely wasn't the best sandwich I've ever had, I would order it again. read more

Ok I'll begin in the cooking area only because I had a clear view to see everything happening in the 2x4 cooking area with 3 accompany cooks whom appear to be horsing around. I ignored and continued to wait while waiting I asked for ranch dressing it was brought to my table what look like dirty cow milk. No way I'd touch any part of it to my still waiting on my sandwich to looking at the dirty grill with black square made home potatoes that look gross. The 4 waitress started off at being polite turned bad only because I didn't want the ranch. Still waiting and annoyed with the dirty this and dirty that I decided to cancel my order, what I go do that for, they didn't like that at all and told me I needed to wait for manager approval for a refund. I had my 96 year old lady who also agreed that this place was not a place she'd ever seen such rudeness and unwelcoming business. And you know looking at the food on other customers plates didn't fit to any liking. Dirty water glasses and poor customer service at front counter.
