The exact email I sent Cressy Door today:
Good morning,
I just wanted to give you feedback on the service, or lack thereof, that we received yesterday.
We have a home in Seattle with a single car garage. The garage door is over 10 years old, is wood, and is rotten at the bottom. We are preparing to sell our home and know we need to replace the door. In fact, my kids and I are out of state at the moment, and my wife came back to Seattle to take care of a few things over the weekend.
She was due to fly back to where we are currently on Saturday morning (yesterday), and when she left the house to drive to the airport, she closed the garage door. A part of the door broke, and it did not close. She tried for two hours to get it down, and was finally able to do so with difficulty, but with a large hole in the bottom. She missed her flight, and has needed to reschedule. She needs to be back home since I work and I need someone to take care of the kids. My youngest son has a fever to 103 and will be missing school, so her being delayed is causing me to have to take time off work.
I tell you this, which is all true, not for sympathy but to briefly set the stage for why getting this garage door is an "emergency" for us.
In any event, we both spent hours on the phone with different contractors, many Home Depot stores, and other garage door suppliers, looking for emergency technicians. We were given your name from a contractor who has done much work for us, and who we trust. I called the emergency number, and spoke with a lady on the phone (I do not know her name). She listened to the above story, and said that a technician would contact either me or my wife to help out. The price quoted was $199/ hour, for a minimum of 2 hours. That seems pretty extreme frankly, but we were left with no choice.
Much to our surprise and disappointment, no-one has called us to date. Needless to say we are very disappointed with Cressy Door service, and I will posting a Yelp review outlying this email. Not only is your price structure unexpected, but this service was suboptimal (I probably think you could say non-existent). My wife is still unable to book a flight back, and I continue to have to take time off work.
Thank you for your time. I hope this feedback will help to inform future service calls for help you get.
