HAYWIRE -- AMAZING FOOD & ATMOSPHERE!…read more I had a great experience at Haywire! The food was absolutely delicious, and the selection was AMAZING--there were so many great options to choose from! The atmosphere really takes the experience to another level. It's beautiful, inviting, and has the perfect vibe for enjoying a great meal. I was unable to visit with those across from me because of the reflection. The food and the service were fantastic! I did have to ask for ketchup that did not have the additional strong, smoky flavor added to it. Can't figure out why y'all needed to change the taste of basic ketchup. The fries are freaking fantastic!! Our group was able to enjoy the cowgirl option!! The 5 ounce steak was amazing. The appetizers are fantastic! The cheese board, pork belly bites, and friend green tomatoes are delicious! The double cheeseburger is served with the best fries I've ever had. The drinks are really good! Lemon drop martini, old fashioned, Texas tea, and the $7 Happy Hour drinks are the best! This place is a busy place. We made reservations, however, I'm not sure if you have to have them to eat here. Things didn't go as smoothly as I hoped for her first visit, but management apologized and tried to make up for it. I appreciated the effort on their part and opportunity to give my feedback. I'm thinking it was an off day as the shrimp pasta was extremely salty on this visit. Food: My Reuben egg rolls were a delightful and delectable bite. One of my favorite appetizers. The Russian/Thousand Island dressing is so good. (4 STARS for the appetizer only) Pasta the presentation was great. However, today someone in the kitchen was heavy handed on the seasoning and it was super salty. The taste was not good. Seeing that I have had it multiple times I won't criticize it as much and chalk it up as a one off. Drinks: The Frosé is so refreshing. It's a cold slushie perfect for a warm summer day. The sample flight is also cool and a great way to taste all the drinks. The presentation is cute and it's a fun experience. (5 STARS) Ambiance: It's a cozy and comfortable vibe. I always feel relaxed and enjoy myself. (4 STARS) Service: The staff is always pleasant and friendly. I want to thank the manager for my concerns on the pasta. The way she handled it was professional. (4 STARS) So overall I had a good visit. Everything was a hit minus the pasta it was a miss this visit. I will definitely be back as this is one of my favorites.

I actually made an account just to leave a wonderful review a couple months ago but today I have…read moredifferent opinions because I was honestly appalled by how overwhelmed the staff looked during my visit. There was an extremely large party, probably around more than half of the spots, happening at the same time as the restaurant was still taking regular reservations and walk-ins, and the entire situation felt poorly planned. I want to make it very clear that this is not a complaint about the servers, hosts, bartenders, or managers working that night. Everyone I interacted with was doing their absolute best, and considering what they were dealing with, I thought the employees did a great job. Our server, was especially great. Even with how busy and stressful everything clearly was around her, she never let that stress come through in her service. She was attentive, kind, and handled everything professionally, which honestly made me appreciate her even more knowing how much was going on around the restaurant. The manager, also really stood out. He seemed to be everywhere at once, helping his employees, checking on different areas of the restaurant, and doing everything he could to keep things running. You could tell he genuinely cared about his staff and was trying to support them. My issue is with whoever organized or planned the large event. Having a party that size while continuing to fill the rest of the restaurant made everything feel unnecessarily chaotic and unorganized. There appeared to be plenty of employees working, so this did not seem like a staffing problem--it seemed like a planning problem. As a customer, it made the experience less enjoyable, but more than anything, I felt terrible watching how hard the employees and manager were having to work just to compensate for what looked like poor event planning. I really wish the large party had been planned around better, whether that meant limiting reservations, reducing walk-ins, or otherwise giving the staff enough breathing room to handle an event of that size. Again, the employees themselves were wonderful. My server was great, The manager was incredibly helpful, and the rest of the staff seemed to be doing everything they could. This review is specifically about the way the large party appeared to have been organized. The staff deserved a much better setup than what they were given.

When we checked their reviews online, it didn't look too promising, but the menu sounded amazing so we decided to come back the next day and try the food. I am so glad that we did! Every single thing we ordered was absolutely amazing. We were able to order the bucket of fried chicken for $20 off of the happy hour menu which was four boneless, skinless breaded fried chicken thighs and they came out hot and perfect! They were so good. We also ordered one Baja fish taco and we regretted not ordering more because they were really good. We also ordered the lobster Bucatini, which was an amazing flavor, but honestly a bit disappointing on the portion size, it could have come with a bit more pasta and sauce, and a piece of bread would've been nice for the sauce. We ended our meal with the crème brûlée cheesecake which I was kind of scared to order because I really love crème brûlée but I'm not a super fan of cheesecake but Earl's did it 10 out of 10 perfect! Hands-down, one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. For the drinks, I ordered an old-fashioned and my husband ordered a Moscow mule. Both of our drinks were great, we were very impressed and will definitely be back next time. We are in Plano. Dining tip: in order to take advantage of the happy hour, whether it be for lunch or dinner, you do have to sit in the bar, lounge, and I believe the outdoor patio counts as well. Your basic dining area does not give you access to the happy hour pricing.

I live in…read moreFlowermound and she lives in Forney so I picked a spot in the middle- mind you I've been here MANY many times over the years but she has not. I made a reservation in advance requesting a booth (since it's a tad quieter) so we could visit and have a nice long lunch having driven so far to meet up and celebrate. We were sat at a table - right next to a very large group and it was so loud we couldn't hear anything we said to each other, I asked the hostess why we were sat at a table and no effort was made to rectify the issue. My husband and I have both made reservations and table requests in the past and have never had an issue. The spot is usually held for us. And the hostess did say she saw my request on the reservation- apparently just ignored it. Then came our server. Bless her for trying but serving at a restaurant is NOT her gifting. She was very very slow to arrive (over ten minutes seated before she showed up) and she immediately got my drink order wrong, when I told her she just stared at me and grabbed my drink and came back with the correct one but a lemon and not the lime I requested. When I asked for my lime - she literally walked back with it IN THE PALM OF HER HAND!!! Three different times she removed food or drinks from our table without asking if we were done with them. She was never apologetic or kind when she made a mistake and really seemed very unaware of the "service" job altogether. My friend and I are overly nice to service people. I still tipped her very well! But the lunch was a disaster from start to finish and NOT the first time experience or birthday lunch I hoped to provide for her. We started with the goat cheese appetizer- it was good as always tho a tad too much garlic. My friend got the chicken melt after asking our server several menu questions and not getting clear answers. And I went with the turkey chili but it was too spicy for me so I took it home. The server asked if I'd like some additional chips to take home with it and never brought them. We have long loved Whiskey Cake and this wasn't a good look at all to have my friend as a returning customer. The server who brought out our appetizers was very lovely- and when she stirred the goat cheese for us and got oil everywhere, including on me, she apologized profusely. Mistakes happen- and her response to it was professional and kind. And THAT is the star I'm giving. She gets the star. The rest would be a very sad zero.

My husband ordered a poke bowl which he said tasted ok but there wasn't much in the way of fish, and my filet on my salad wasn't medium as requested; however the biggest issue was that my daughter was served a raw ground beef patty for loco moco, not medium or rare, but raw. You could smell raw ground beef. We struggled getting waitstaff's attention for quite awhile and both my husband and I made eye contact with the manager in the blue shirt wearing a headset. He looked our way, sent some one else in a tan shirt and walked away from the main dining room inside. We explained that the patty was raw. His response was dismissive with an explanation that it was always cooked medium, carried the plate away, even though I explained that it wasn't "medium". We waited a long time for a replacement. The replacement was delivered by someone from the kitchen and it was done, but was served with fresh white rice rather than fried rice and was missing the avocado requested. We had to wave someone once again to request avocado. Our waitress eventually returned, apologized, and gave us an appetizer comp card. Our bill showed the loco moco removed for "flavor" and then re-added to the bill. There are other better restaurant choices in the area, so I'd recommend skipping this one.
