The food here is awesome, I've been here 2x in the last month. However the wait is a while to be seated. Once you place your orders it's another 30 mins. I feel like there totally under staff. I watch one person taking orders this Sunday and she was struggling to do that. Completely mixed up whose order was whose. We did have a party of 9 in her defense. Been going to Crestline Cafe since the first year it opened up. I love their food! Everything Ive tried has always been delicious. From their Grilled Chicken Salad, their hamburgers and patty melts, as well as their soups. Its always really good! Their breakfast items are amazing!!! Each time I go there and have Stacy as my server or Thom as the busser, it makes my visit perfect! Stacy and Thom are always so sweet and accommodating. They always provide very fast service even when short staffed. Those two are excellent employees at Crestline Cafe and anyone who gets them for their table will have a great experience. read more

Made the trip up the mountain for a dine in breakfast with the family. Got here early enough I didn't have to wait for seating. Fairly attentive servers, delicious food. Deduction reason. **fair warning ** This place does prioritize its regulars over everyone else. We watched 2 other parties come in, order, other tables get coffee, while our food sat under the warmers for a good while. Its understandable, in a small town, you make sure your reoccurring clients get great service because in the end, it's more tips.. Probably best to have an extra person expo to run food, or designate one server and one runner to keep costs down and get things out timely and fairly. I will come back, but having 12 year of service industry, I dont want cold eggs.. Please run food FIFO. read more

I was there Saturday around 12 noon 1/4/2019 as we walked in the service was fantastic, friendly and fast. The lady serving our table was Friendly and I have to say the food was FANTASTIC!! OMG!! FRESH !!! fresh and delicious, you can tell they do care about the food quality!! my first time visiting this restaurant and I will come back again just to visit this restaurant. we had the fried steak breakfast tand it was tasty and the country potatoes Delicious more important the coffee was so fresh and good.!! We ordered a veggie burger take out w/no cheese or bacon. I checked the food before we left & of course it had cheese & bacon on it. When we brought it to their attention they were unapologetic & acted annoyed. A few min later they brought back the same impossible burger & they just peeled the bacon & cheese off. I told her that was unacceptable & requested a new patty & noted that everything that was supposed to be on the burger wasn't. She came back 10 min later with a "new" burger & brought the sides as well. We got home & realized all they did was flip the cheese side to the bottom so at first glance you wouldn't notice & then to top it all off HID A PIECE of BACON in our fries. This is my favorite spot in Crestline! The food is always delicious from the blueberry pancakes to the fresh dinner salads. I love to have a cup of their freshly brewed coffee in the morning. They have delicious juicy burgers, and my kids love their pizza! They also have a great selection of beer. The staff is always super nice, and the cafe really gives you a great small-town feel. Seems like this is 1 of my favorite cafe / diner when I'm up here. I haven't got 1 in Big Bear yet but I shall get right on that. The food here is good and the prices are just as good. Service is quick and friendly and the homemade sweets is a treat if you get here early enough. Seems like they are mostly gone after 4 pm though. I generally get a half salad or a half sandwich / soup combo and a hot cup of coffee when I'm here. You know, I need that 4 pm snack pick-me-upper. Came here from out of town. If you are in town you definitely need to stop by this family owned restaurant. The food was outstanding and the service was even better. Restaurant was owned by this older gentleman who completely gives this restaurant its shine. He is so warming and delightful. You can tell he really cares about his customers. We ordered HUGE pancakes and chorizo scrambled eggs. The chorizo scramble had a little bit too much chorizo and not enough eggs but still so yummy. So much delicious food it kept us full through dinner. Will definitely be back next time we are in town. read more
