Breakfast this morning at Crestline Cafe was delicious ! Buttermilk Pancakes were the best I have had in twenty years. The pancakes were thick and fluffy. The maple syrup was served warm. My son ordered the breafast burrito and he loved it, big delicious burrito. Service was great, served promptly and all the servers were friendly and helpful. Oh my. I've been visiting Crestline for years and only just discovered this place - how? I guess I didn't look hard enough! Shame on me, cause this place is such a great find! I came up here a couple weeks ago and ordered over the phone (which made it super easy!) and the food was ready for pickup in 15 minutes. A short wait is not usually a great sign in my book, but boy was I wrong about this place! I was up visiting with 3 friends and we all ordered the same thing: The Best Western. The menu describes it as: "Char broiled beef burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, tangy BBQ sauce & onion rings, served on a Premium seedless bun." My mouth was already watering at the description and Crestline Cafe did not disappoint. This was by far, one of the BEST burgers I have EVER tried (and I've tried a lot haha). The bacon was perfectly crisp, and really big pieces, not the scrawny wet limp bacon you usually find on a burger. No skimping on the onion rings. The tangy BBQ sauce works perfectly with the cheddar cheese (though I am a bit of a BBQ sauce fanatic so anything with BBQ sauce is pretty much good for me!) Each of the burgers are a 1/3 pound patty, so 1 patty is quite enough for one meal, especially since each burger comes with a side of your choice. All in all, do not skip out on this place when visiting Crestline next! I will DEFINITELY be returning! read more

We first went to the whiskey bar and felt so uncomfortable and unwelcomed we got up and left and couldn't walk fast enough to this cafe. I am so glad we did. My boyfriend took me up to crestline for my birthday and this place was so nice. Very welcoming, nice, cozy, good menue. The 2 women working were very nice and working hard. The food was amazing. Three stars cause the service was good and our servers were great, but the food was kinda off. We went yesterday and my friend got fettuccine alfredo and the noodles smelled weird af like plastic. The homie ate it and started yacking outside. Another friend got the louisiana cajun pasta and his noodles had that same funky stench. If you like being greeted from a waitress with her mask falling off of her face so much you can see her mouth, not covering her nose and she's standing directly above you in the middle of a pandemic.. This place is for you! The "country fried steak" was mushy in the middle, soggy on the bottom, and had CANNED beef gravy. This meal reminded me of a Hungry Man microwaveable meal that I ate when I was 7. I love me some dinner food but this was bottom of the barrel for sure. For someone who just moved up here, I won't be coming back for sure. read more

Though we were told it would take 20 minutes to get our food, it took more than 50 minutes for us to receive our two sandwiches and sides. There was no apology or acknowledgement that the order fulfillment was extremely delayed--which we certainly would have appreciated. The food, I'm afraid, was not worth the wait. The sandwiches were just okay, the french fries were cold and had a weird taste to them, and the fruit salad was truly 'meh.' I can't comment on the dine-in experience at Crestline Cafe, but based on our one take out order, we likely won't be returning in the future. read more

Stopped by here for breakfast/brunch on our way out of Lake Arrowhead on a Saturday morning. We arrived at 10:30am and the 4 of us were sat immediately. Crestline Cafe was pretty busy at this time and potentially short handed in waiter/waitresses. We were brought water and coffee pretty quickly, but it took another 20 minutes or so to place the order. Our first waitress seemed very busy and did not check on us, but once the food came we had a new waitress and she was much more attentive to our table. We ordered the 2 egg breakfast and the breakfast burrito. The 2 egg breakfast is a big serving, especially for its price. It comes with 2 eggs, breakfast potatoes, toast, and your choice of meat (bacon, sausage, etc). The breakfast potatoes were crispy and served with peppers and onions. They were delicious. The bacon was served crispy, but not over cooked. The sourdough toast was simple but fresh and served with butter melted on it. Overall, I would get this meal again. The breakfast burrito was huge! It is the type of burrito that you have to eat with a fork and knife. It was okay, but lacked flavor. It had eggs, sausage, and bacon in it with salsa and sour cream on the side. There was also melted cheese on top of it. It was kind of bland and I've had better breakfast burritos. Overall, this was a perfect brunch spot for the price, amount of food, and how great the food tasted! I would come back if I am ever in the area again. read more

Visiting from out of town to Crestline was such a great retreat. I was super excited to find out about this cafe. For the size of the plate of their Chicken Fried Steak, it was definitely worth it. Also didn't matter what time it was, I ordered the dinner plate of it at 11 AM with the mashed potatoes and veggies. Ate the second half later - no time for waste or shame. Food isn't as good as it used to be, they don't have ingredients sometimes (I do understand that the supply chain is broken, but other restaurants seem to be managing), and they don't give out utensils for to-go orders unless you ask; and, be honest, how often have you ever had to ask for utensils? I hate getting to work and not having a spoon for my soup or a fork for my salad. That's just gross to have to eat with my fingers. On top of that, workers are ALWAYS getting fired. And I see these workers at other restaurants (having been hired afterward by the other restaurant) and their new place of employments loves them, treats them really well, and they end up working there for a long time.
