And honest to god it was an amazing pizza and their wings, definitely get wings when you buy the pizza. I'm sad because I could only try one type of pizza, since I was full with what I was busy eating. But next time I am there I would try other pizzas as well. On vacation from California went to visit some of the history and culture around Boston and discovered Mission Hill. Stopped by the beautiful Basilica of our Perpetual Lady with the family and decided to check out this place and boy were we in for a pleasant surprise. Being from the west coast we don't have places like this unfortunately. People are very friendly and the pizza is amazing as well as their cheesy bacon fries and the cheese cake carrot cake and chocolate cake are to die for. If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. The customer service here is deplorable and the way the staff failed to handle my order shows how little the employees care. I ordered a veggie sub with buffalo sauce on a TOASTED roll. I specifically said NO CHEESE multiple times. My food come on a wrap and it was smothered in cheese. I am a vegan I CANNOT eat cheese. It makes me physically I'll. I had ordered delivery so I called back and was told the correct order would be send out to me. I waited an hour and then called back to find a new person on shift who had "no idea" what I was talking about. He took my information said he'd call back and never did. I called back several times and the responses I got were "we're really busy" and "only the owner can handle refunds". This establishment clearly doesn't care about customer service. I told the man I spoke with that they will not be happy if I have to come into the store. And he said "come to the store I'm not afraid" . First of all they will not be happy because I will demand my money back and never recommend this restaurant to anyone else in my life. But the fact that he said that makes my blood boil and I will be paying this location a visit. I paid for food I never got to eat bottom line. I was clear about my order and repeated it several times. It's not my fault that they hired incompetent staff that don't understand customer satisfaction or how to take a damn order. And I would know I've worked in the food industry since I was 15 years old. This is NOT the way customers should be treated. Went to get my money back and this little teenage girl was at the register like "I'm not giving her her money back, not with that attitude" so the other guy making sandwiches had to come take off his gloves to give me my $7 back. Yes all over $7 but that's not the point. I work hard for my money so when I wanna get delivery and sit in my house on a chilly day that is my right! I will be damned if I am silenced by some snotty teen who clearly wanted me to drag her face across the floor. YOU DO NOT ANTAGONIZE A PERSON WHO IS MAD! But I got my money back for the food they f***ed up to begin with. Yes I'm mad that I was lied to and then ignored. Yes I'm mad that they treated me like some crazy angry black lady with so much attitude. The girl at the register said "who is she yelling at?"... sweetie I rose my voice over the man that was trying to talk over me. If I was yelling y'all would have called the police on me cause everyone up and down the street would have heard it. I give this place o stars for lousy pizza and terrible customer service. And I never complain!! This place is under new management and it is awful. They don't know what crispy dough is. They don't know the difference between a plain cheese pizza and a margharita. The owner told me there is basil in the sauce so I should have been happy with the cheese pizza. We were in a long meeting and ordered late the driver got lost brought the wrong pizza, it was cold and we had no choice but to eat it as we could not leave the meeting to call up and complain. I called later after our meeting ended and after discussing the situation with the employee he said he would give us a free pizza next time we ordered. Called to order today got the owner said the cheese pizza was the same as the margharita because it had basil in the sauce. They are too busy at lunch time to put the basil on top of the pizza. He would not honor his employee who offered us a free pizza. He could give us 1/2 price which was not acceptable. I tried this place right after they changed management and was disappointed. It's Friday, didn't feel like cooking, so I ordered delivery. Today I ordered BBQ chicken pizza and the slightly pesto. The BBQ chicken was basically a chicken pizza and someone dumped a whole bottle of BBQ sauce on the pizza in the box. I mean you could even the splatter pattern in the box. The slightly pesto pizza was so hard and over cooked. I had to saw the piece I wanted to eat, every time I took a bite. The chicken wings were alright, typical delivery chicken wings. I ordered Philly Steak Cheese sub. It was edible but had very little cheese sauce and the meat (there was lots)had a very slight (to me) weird taste. Like, I'm thinking "old." The Chicken Fajita Pizza was not bad, although there was one sliver of chicken bone in one slice, and somebody put Greek olives on instead of jalapenos. The employee uniform seems to be jeans and flannel - no aprons or white of any sort. There are several pizza places in Mission Hill - this not among the best. read more

I dont know how halal is their halal menu but was not convinced enough to trust it all. I do know their chicken is halal so I got their buffalo chicken pizza...it was pretty decent but the service was terrible,sanitation was not as I would have expected and it was not all I hoped or I have heard it was. The sliced pizza has always been good. My personal favorite is the buffalo chicken pizza. Not too spicy and still good. Ordering a sub or burger is always good because the vegetables inside it are so fresh. The atmosphere in the store is just clean as well. Always like coming here. read more

I ordered from this place, because I wanted something new, I liked their menu, and the reviews were good (talk about bribery). Over an hour later, I get a call saying the food is downstairs....I tell him I'll buzz him in...he starts complaining that he's in his car. I tell him we have paid for it, we have paid the delivery fee, ON TOP OF TIP...and hung up. The base word of the word DELIVERY is DELIVER....this includes finding a parking space, or even throwing on the hazards and double parking for 2 minutes....but no....I buzz for a good 5 minutes, and nobody comes up. I go down (already miffed) and wait....and wait...and wait....the douchebag NEVER CAME! EVER! AT ALL! WE PAID for the food, we PAID the delivery fee, we TIPPED HIM....and the slimeball got a free meal, at $30 of my money. UNACCEPTABLE. I've had bad experiences, I've had hair in my food, I've stopped ordering from restaurants over a discrepancy of CELERY...but even in THAT CASE, we GOT OUR FOOD. THIS GUY GOT A FREE MEAL.... I call foodler, and they said they'd call the restaurant....which conveniently closed. For the record, I ordered with PLENTY of time before they closed.... But now it's almost midnight, and I have no food, and am out $30....pretty sure I'll be too aggravated to sleep.... This is UNACCEPTABLE. but at least now I know sketchy restaurants are paying their employees to do all the reviews....I should have known. Great steak and cheese subs, and the pizza ain't too shabby either. I had the honey mustard chicken pizza. It was decent, though I like tomato-sauce based pizzas a little better (I think they used yellow mustard-- bit too strong). I called for delivery & when I asked for what flavor of drinks the man on the phone said "I'm not next to the fridge." There was a long pause & I asked him if he could please tell me the flavors & that I would hold. STRIKE 1. When I gave my card number & after another long pause he said my card wasn't working then asked for my security code. If my card didn't go through WHY would he need the security code?!? STRIKE 2. I kindly refused to give the code & asked him please to try again & he said "I tried already, it doesn't work, I'm very busy, what do you want me to do?" STRIKE 3. I told him I would come and pick it up and pay in cash. Once I got there there 10 mins later there was NO ONE in the store besides the worker & what appeared to be his friend. Wow, busy huh...STRIKE 4! When I got home the "plain, crispy wings" I had ordered were extremely spicy. 1-10 I'd rate it a 8-9. I couldn't get past 2 pieces without picking up the phone. I'd thought maybe they switched my order w/someone else's. I called & he said "All our customers love our wings." & that was all he was willing to say. On the menu & when I called no one mentioned to me they were spicy. I asked If he could make me another 20 piece and he said that they were pre-seasoned, there was nothing he could do. Needless to say I will definitely NOT be eating here again & will be dissuading my neighbors, friends & local hospital co-workers from eating here as well. I am no pizza afficionado. In fact, I usually only eat it as a last resort, a means to an end as they say. The fabulous mini pizza I had from Crispy Dough may change that! The price was right. The quality was top notch. This little pizza was excellent. I have recommended it to many friends since my initial visit last weekend. BTW for around $5, you can get an 8" pizza with 3 toppings. I work a few doors down from Crispy Dough so I really, really want to like this place and make it my perfect go-to sandwich/salad/pizza place that is convenient and delicious. I keep trying with Crispy Dough, but I am always disappointed and today was the end for me. I went to grab a sandwich for a quick lunch. Being a vegetarian, the fresh mozzarella wrap sounded perfect: fresh mozz, pesto, plum tomatoes and romaine. The wrap that I got had about a head of lettuce in it with a tiny bit of cheese. I'm not sure what that was but it was definitely not fresh mozzarella. The barely there pesto left a lot to be desired. The poor service and overcharge was the icing on the cake. worst customer service. my job orders from here 2-3 times a week. called today ordered 1 lg for my coworker and 1 med for me. we both planned on bringing the leftovers home. the pizza was delivered, the driver did not have my credit card receipt for me to sign and our orders were completely wrong. mine had ingredients that i don't eat (broccoli, spinach and peppers), my co-workers had stuff in his that he did not order too. i called back and spoke to ashley who was very rude, demeaning and condescending and told me no one in management would be there until sometime after 2pm. after explaining that i waited 50 minutes for delivery, spent 15 min to try to resolve that i wanted my order corrected and expedited, she said "huh" "what dies that mean?" i said if it's gonna take another 50 min to get my food that i already paid for almost 2 hrs ago that i would like ,y food redelivered and some money taken off. she put me on hold and low and behold a manager named eustis got the phone and continued with the same lack of training on customer service. he told me he was too busy to talk to me, he was too busy to remake the pizza. i told him why i though he should comp me a little bit just for the messup and wait cause i was hungrrrrrry. the owner admitted he made the pizzas but refused to accept that he made the orders wrong. i offered to take pic to show the content and he said know he was making me a new pizza and hung up on me. i waited a few minutes and called back and spoke to another female who gave me an attitude as soon as i told her the address and why i was calling. i asked about being comped and they told me it was one or the other. i reminded that we do lots of business every weeks, sometimes 8 of us ordering at the same time. i explained how unsatisfied i was. eustis was too busy to talk and to try calling back later. i said i hope this gets resolved as we can take our business else where and i can share my experience with the world. i was told its not theat serious and then they again hung up on me. they will probably spit in my food when or if they re-delvier and im sure i will nit granted any kind of comp for my horrible experience. just got a response to this review from ashley herself, not the owner but an employee that takes orders, smh....bragging how she hasn't gotten fired... not applogizing but adding fuel to the fire. . the owner should fire her, she is very unprofessional on the phone, in her email and she needs lots of customer service training. she herself is costing her employer money as he lost $15 today (refunding me partial mot my whole meal as he stated the 1st time i spoke to him), loss of business (tuesday 10/23 we were going to place a big order for a bunch of pizzaa for a staff lunch and we have another event on 10/29/18 where we were going to order pizzas to fee 350 people) and has a poor review and has besn blasted on all my and my co-workers social media sites with pictures of our wrong food and a pic of the response from a disgruntal, unprofessional and untrained employee. so ashley honey....the customer is always right, and your employer will see that your not worth his losses. btw, per the owner, ashley took the order wrong thats why it was made wrong, lol (she has 1 responsibility, lol) we showed the driver the pizza and the wrong ingredients, he was so appologetic, more so than ashley and the owner. he sees us all the time when we order. ashley comented on my review that they will be waiting for our next order since we order 2-3x a week....well ashley honey we only ordered 2x this week, you can wait until hell freezes over cause i wont be ordering again...me and my co-worker will not be ordering from here ever again, we will not even consider ordering from you for our monthly lunch appreciation and resident appreciation (we will just order from regina's) and will encourage others at my job not to order from here too. i will go out and pick up lunch for everyone before we order from here. the owner sounded a little more rational when i called him back, he acknowledged that we order all the time, that he was short staffed thats why he needed "the girl". the owner stated that he does not care about the money but the customer....i couldnt tell. i still can't tell. im walking away from this very unhappy. this is just the 1st of many reviews. i have already screenshotted ashley's response to me and have posted on my twitter, fb and instagram to let others know of the foolery that goes on here. it's too bad that this was not handeled properlty, that you have unprofessional staff and that you treat your customer that speak up badly because the food is pretty good. but it's ok, we live in boston, we can order from any where!!! read more

The other night I experience the poorest service with Crispy Dough. I called in an order for a large pie to pick up and the first response I received was a rude "no" claiming that I needed to physically be at the restaurant to place an order. If that's the case of a restaurant then don't put on your menu that picking up an order is an option. The purpose of calling ahead of time is so that the long preparation time for the order will be available at the restaurant by the time you get there. Not forcing me to place the order when I'm physically there, defeating the whole purpose. I also asked if I can get half the pie buffalo and a quarter of it cheese and a quarter of it pepperoni, a quarter meaning you put pepperoni on two slices of the pie. Apparently understanding that was hard and I was rudely told they're incapable of doing something so simple such as putting pepperoni slices on two slices of pizza. After trying to place this order they hung up on me and never answered ever again. I'm usually a regular at this restaurant and I've never been so disappointed at how poor this service was. 08/19/2011 To the Owners of Crispy Dough pizza; I am writing this letter to you filled with great distaste and disappointment. On 08/17/2011 I went to your establishment to purchase a simple cheese pizza. But, instead of a freshly made pizza what I received was a reheated piece of cardboard. I noticed that the chef, instead of making a fresh pizza grabbed an already prepared pizza (the kind that are usually sold in slices) placed it back into the stove for about 15 minutes then presented it to me. I should have addressed it at that time. But since I only eat pizza and do not make them. I thought it would be fine...little did I know. Unfortunately for you this was supposed to feed four people who live in this area. By the time everyone arrived (less than 30 minutes) the pizza was cold. And, the topic of "where did you get this pizza from" dominated the conversation. If word of mouth means anything to you, you just may take this to heart. As you know there are so many small businesses (pizza and sub shops) around to loose not only one but four frequent customers is a great loss to you. Sincerely read more

Ordered a large cheese for 12.50. Pizza came almost an hour later. I paid with a credit card, but over the phone the guy took the number and he told me to "give the driver the card when he gets there, and pay him with it then"-I do this, and the driver who can't speak English well says "We dont accept credit cards here, only cash." So, I tell him forget it. I call them back, the guy says "the driver is an IDIOT!, you ordered the Margarita pizza right?" No, I said, cheese. I tell him I waited an hour. He says the driver is coming back. He also says I wont be charged ( my card was charged 20?) Driver comes back with a free bottle of coke and two small bags of sour cream and onion chips, which I hate, but think is a nice gesture since there is "no charge." He then tries to make me sign the credit card slip, which now says 13 something and I said "if theres no charge, then I dont sign, correct?" He calls the owner again, and says" no charge, ok you dont have to sign it." I go in, relieved this is over and the pizza has some type of leaves on it, resembling tree leaves. (some type of greens, or is this their "Margarita"?) I then call up and say," I wasnt charged was I? And thank you for resolving this", despite the fact I didnt order this kind of pizza. This morning I woke up and , there were the 13 dollar charges, still on my creit card. Didnt see these reviews beforehand. Don't bother this is run by clowns.. read more
