From my dining experience it seems that many pizza restaurants offer iced tea as an afterthought since it pairs with soda so well. It creates a disappointing beverage situation for people like me who never drink soda. We ordered grubhub and the order was wrong. I ordered 2 pizzas, 2 hoagie sandwiches and 2 orders of cheesy bread. I requested the mean green pizza to have the artichokes taken off and they were still there and one of the hoagies I had several things taken off and extra chicken added. It came with a sad amount of meat and the hoagie roll was burnt. Which I understand that I took a lot off of the sandwich hence why I added extra chicken. I was a bigger fan of the pesto than the meat lovers. The red sauce was not to my liking but it was still good and fresh! And it kind of had a sweetness to it, I don't like sweet on my pizza. This will be the best pizza you've ever tasted when you're drunk. When you're sober it's just okay. This gem of a place is nestled right in the middle of fry street. Which is the ideal place to capture the drinkers on fry. They sell pizza by the slice for a great price! It's a good place to stop for lunch when you have a full day on campus but don't expect this place to wow you. The dessert here isn't great either so just stick to the pizza. Pros: We ordered a half and half (spicy italian/white) pizza and it was glorious! You can order pizzas of different sizes, 1/2 pizza and 1/4 pizza. With some orders there are specials that effectively give free drinks for 1 or 2 diners. Other things we noticed: The restaurant seemed clean, it smelled heavenly, and napkins and paper plates are available at the pick up counter. The person that took the order was nice & friendly. Cons: We did find a lack of communication and customer service. The ice machine was broken, but instead of putting up a sign, telling customers when they ordered a drink, or saying a word when they awkwardly try to get ice out of the machine, the cashier waits for the customer to go back to her and ask about the ice. To us, she responds, "oh, it's broken. We have a call in to have it fixed." Rewind that awkward tap dance and conversation THREE more times for the next parties that trickled in while we waited for our food and ate our meal. As we were leaving, we decided to comment on how much we liked the pizza. We watched the re-enactment of the entire ice machine saga once again. I finished a day at Lake Lewisville and was craving it, so I called it in drove to Denton to pick it up. It was ready in 20 minutes and was has hassle-free pick it up and take home. We had lunch here this past Saturday around noonish. It being a Saturday we easily found free parking right in front along the street. I would imagine that during the week it isn't quite as easy to find parking close by. The restaurant is small but has plenty of table seating as well as counter seating along the windows. There was a group of people already there along with a single person. Other than that it was us so finding seating wasn't a problem. Closer to us leaving more people started to show up. This being our first time here we went with one of the specials - basically half a pizza and two drinks. With this special you are able to get two pieces specialized. So for my two pieces I got pepperoni and hamburger and my husband got hamburger and...something else. But with this special you can't get individual pieces specialized. Make sense? We also got an order of breadsticks. Our breadsticks came out fairly quickly and were delicious. Freshly baked, soft and warm. They came with marinara sauce on the side. Very good! Our pizza was ready soon after. The pizza was pretty good. The pepperoni slices looked to be the cheapo kind that you can find at the grocery store but otherwise it had a good taste. One piece ended up being plenty for me so I gave my husband my second piece. He was happy with his pizza - said that that he really liked it. So in total we spent around $17.00 for four breadsticks, two drinks, and four slices of pizza. The restaurant is nice and the employees were friendly and helpful. Would we come back? Definitely.
